My fulltime job is working for a company which trades in rough diamonds through Dubai's DMCC ( https://www.dmcc.ae/ ) The software I am writing for them is a stock control and valuation system which tracks the stones through their journey from the mines to the jewellery stores and calculates the value of the stones according to a complex set of market information and pricing rules which were devised by the directors of the company.

On almost a daily basis people who I know through working in Almas Tower ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almas_Tower ) for the last 4 years, and who I have been speaking to about my crypto-project, are asking me for updates about what is happening with the project. The DMCC allows for crypto-currency to be traded as a commodity and it's part of my plan to obtain a DMCC trading licence so I can legally trade TOURIVA and other crypto's within the DMCC.

My role within TOURIVA is the founder/leader, 'visionary' of the concept, and lead ( currently only ) programmer for the web ecosystem. I also created the TOURIVA genesis block and I compile the Windows and Linux versions of the wallet.

I'll let Martin explain his background and role for himself, and perhaps one or two of the donators will chime in ( if they feel like it! )

My name is: Martin Schillhorn

I am a student living in the Netherlands.

I have a great passion for crypto and love tinkering around with code and wallet designs.
I have been in crypto since late 2014 and have been developing for about 2 years.

Phase 2 (Ongoing) : Development of web based ecosystem and infrastructure to facilitate trading and growth of the network.

I don't have a specific date yet for everything to be up and running as I'm working a fulltime job and doing this in my available spare time.

Still to be done is :

- fixing the recently discovered bugs in the internal exchange
- 2FA
- improvements to the home and information pages
- the bookings web app

I suspect if I was working fulltime on the project it could all be accomplished within about 6-8 weeks of sustained effort, but I do have a day job so it's going to take a lot longer than that.

Having said that, I've just recently been talking to a friend of mine who used to work here in Dubai as the manager of the local branch of IGI ( International Gemological Institute ). He has retired from the diamond industry now and bought a holiday village in the south of France which he is currently renovating with a view to opening to the public from about April 2020. We are discussing doing a get-together for the TOURIVA community there this coming summer, and the place is likely to be the first holiday resort type offering available through the TOURIVA system.

I have started discussions with several commodities traders within Dubai's DMCC with a view to securing investments in the coin in the near future. It's tricky because these guys are always really busy buying and selling things like Diamonds, precious metals and other commodities, but there is interest and the DMCC itself has fairly recently had adverts up in Almas tower raising awareness of crypto-currency to promote their Crypto-currency trading licence which I will be seeking in the future so I can bulk advertise in the DMCC rather than just meeting people socially.

Can you put a section on your website regarding your team details and links? Not all people can read the details your team are posting in this thread. I have seen several projects exploring the tourism sector, yet, they have no success in actually implementing it. I wish you all the best for this project because we need more of this app for the travelers to get more benefits while traveling.

By the way, I like the part that you will have your Touriva store as well. Where hosts can purchase customized items for their place. Looking forward to the time of implementation of this platform... Good luck!

TOURs are held by about 800 people right now, with the bulk of the coins in my hands and smaller amounts in the hands of the team and early adopters and donators to the project.

Are those from mn owners or from the premine of 1.27M TOUR coins?

A bit of both, of the premine only 720K remains in my hands, the rest has been manually distributed. I have not sold any TOUR, nor have I deposited any coins to the exchange. The premine exists so I can do deals with commodity traders here in Dubai's DMCC. The plan is to have them invest in bulk and use the funds to buy listings and support the price at the exchange.

I am not being negative here but I hope you are sincerely developing this platform for travelers.

Absolutely I am, but your cynacism is well understood and in this market it's frankly healthy to be skeptical and suspicious. Completely understandable, I too have been burned on various shitcoin projects. It's a fact which has always weighed on my thinking and whilst I've been capable of launching something like this for many years now, I never had a concept which I believed I could make work before I came up with TOURIVA and decided to go ahead with it.

I fully understand and appreciate that at this stage I need to prove myself and my project in the eyes of the crowd. I have no problem with that and I fully intend to do so. So please feel free to interogate me to your satisfaction

Hi, you can find all the published information on the site homepage in the 'invest & earn' section.

I haven't actually paid much attention to marketing materials such as a roadmap and whitepaper. The roadmap is tricky because whilst I can sketch out roughly the steps needed to reach the end goals, pressures on my time such as my fulltime job, the family nursery business and my 3 year old daughter mean that I can't predict how much time I will have to dedicate to development week to week so there are two levels of uncertainty ( the other being how long a given section of code requires to build ) and therefore any prediction I make is likely to be so wildly inaccurate that it's next to useless.

I've written about 3 A4 pages worth of whitepaper material so far and there is more to add to it. It's been released in it's current form within the donators only section on the discord for feedback.

My stance is that my time is best used actually building stuff rather than making up stuff about how I'm going to build stuff. TOURIVA is my ambition becoming manifest and it's not like I'm trying to raise millions of dollars and open plush offices or anything like that. If you want to drop a token donation, even just a dollar, into the donations pot you can get access to the donators room where you can talk to the others about the project and where we are going with it. Everyone in there is part of an extended distributed team.

Touriva got a lot of great improvements currently under construction:

- Switching to a more stable mining algorythm and masternode collateral increase and block time halving.
- Rewrite of their official website and home exchange and mobile optimization of it.

Results will be a more stable moving chain, faster transaction times and lower server costs for masternode holders.

The community is expanding and work is done to increase exposure for Touriva. I still consider this project a diamond in the rough, happy holder. Thanks
