You can judge by quite some statements in the past that lots of users have no idea what Exbet is and how it works. And this is kind of expected, since a) you don't have a lot users in here, that do place bets, although they are often writing in gambling section (we know the reason for this) and b) the minority who actually does, are actually low-rollers (no offense) and just like to have some fun with an easy UI - placing bets in a traditional way/bookmaker and c) Casino-gambling is still bigger here and in general, so it's way easier for sites like SB/FJ/Betnomi etc. to get things rolling via the tools you mentioned.

I think the people who should know about Exbet in this forum already do know and you won't (are not able to) attract many more through promotions in here to make it worth what this all costs. This being said, I have no better idea as well than just to wait for organic growth, which will come from outside this forum then imo. And hopefully it will bring inplay liquidity

We think there's still some important set(s) of users here on btctalk that hasn't heard of Exbet that should have (i.e. they like sports, understand exchanges and could bring not-insignificant liquidity). But we are, let's say, sympathetic to the idea that the traditional ways of advertising on btctalk are not as effective as they might have been in the past.

We believe there are alternatives to pure organic growth. 2021 will be interesting.

Just deposited some BTC to test the platform. The first impression is it has a lot of errors and doesn't work like exchange.
Major cons:
1. Short number of digits after decimal point (please look at matchook and implement it like it should be) don't repeat betfair mistakes.
2. When I make an offer the opposit odds doesn't change (if it's the same "two way" market) the odds should change correspondingly like on the most exchanges.
3. No detail market stats.
4. No information about positions of my orders if i have the same odds.
5. Need to refresh whole page to see odds changes

and much more......
You need to put some work to make it a good sports betting exchange. In current state it's unusable for me. Please fix these bugs.

Correct, we chose the same odds scheme (two decimal places) as Betfair and some major BTC sportsbooks like sportsbet.io. Pinnacle, Matchbook and Asian books run with three decimal places. We hadn't planned to change this any time soon, but would be interesting to hear from you and others about the pros and cons on this issue.

Not sure we understood - maybe you are referring to cross-matching that is implemented on e.g. Betfair? This is (roughly, and in its basic form) where a back bet on one outcome is also offered as a lay bet on the other outcome (s), and vice versa. MyRealName, if this is what you are referring to - yes, we made a business/product decision not to implement cross-matching from Day 1 on Exbet. There are pros and cons to cross-matching for the user and the exchange, but we don't think this is a core part of the exchange feature-set.

Correct, we don't have this yet in the Exbet UI (The Exbet API however, does offer state of current orderbook).
This is an important feature, it's good you mentioned it.
We are working on a first version which we would like to have released next month.

Hmm. This sounds like the one real bug on your list. We have had one other user last week report this issue - where the orderbook does not dynamically update in the UI. Our developers are currently checking this out, and we suspect that a recent upgrade could have caused an issue for some users. It helps us to have this confirmation of the bug, thanks.

A lot of people complaining and leave betfair because of this issue. Please look at Pinacle, Matchbook, Fairlay and most asian bookie and implement it like that way. As far as I know Betfair doesn't provide information about "Position in queue" PIQ. And there is no official statement about this issue. Some people think it's hard to implement because of betfair's cross matching, others think that betfair is providing their own liquidity pool and  matching bets in their own most profitable order (including account profiling and a lot of more metrics). I think both of them are correct and don't add any transparency for betfair reputation.

Interesting question I think people tend to bet less (with BTC) during a bull run, because they are even more cautious to not give them away, although they will lose the same amount fiat-wise by adjusting their stakes. It's a psychological thing and the more value something has, the more likely you are trying to protect it at all costs and not taking unnecessary risks. Even when you know you will come out on top longterm by investing this asset in valuable spots

We think you're right - probably not any serious cons in moving to three decimals. We will probably not prioitize this, as we have more important product development to focus on just now (we need more hours in the day ). But we are not ruling it out in the future.

Yes, it's hard to separate fact from rumour with Betfair. There are a lot of conspiracy theories, but Betfair does not help this with its lack of transparency.

Until PIQ becomes important to a significant group of Exbet users, it is unlikely that we will prioritize it as a new feature. We do have long-term plans for a kind of radical orderbook transparency, but we need to learn to run before we can walk walk before we can run (great typo ).

Live betting is making good progress - the work we are doing is primarily improvements in the speed and stability of the Exbet API to allow market makers to bring in-play liquidity with confidence. We'd love to have something concrete before end of December, but realistically it won't be until the start of 2021 that Exbet users see substantial progress here.

I wouldn't worry about that too much. After all, it is already almost 2021 and there are still plenty of matches. Provided we get that vaccine for corona available again, of course.

Yes, laying the 3-3 has been popular with some punters. But you'd want to be a bit careful these past few months, with average goals per game seeming to be on the increase (related to Covid and crowd restrictions?). For example, EPL goals per game are at 2.96, a historical high. Might want to be going the other way and laying 0-0

That 1% commission you have to pay is very little. The other exchanges charge a lot more, so this could potentially be beneficial.
It's just a matter of building a good name and getting a reputation can sometimes take a while. Time is something we all have enough of in the forum
