i will do as you say, at this time part of the altcoin that i hold i have sold and bought bitcoin.
and now i only have bitcoin, BCH and ethereum in my wallet.

The lesson here in the bear market especially when it comes to altcoins is, only buy the altcoins that are strong enough and good enough for long term holding. So even though their prices will still plummet, you are still confident that they will have a comeback in the market and they will give you a lot of profit in the future.

I agree that market is bad but this time of the cryptocurrencies is what we call the investment period. Alt are so cheap right now, some of them are %99 down from their all time high values. What we shuld do is investing in them and either waiting for buying and selling to get daily profits. These times will not come again as market will grow in the future.

I think your actions are right because the Altcoin season hasn't come for almost 2 years and is still in a difficult situation to be able to develop, exchanging parts of Altcoin into bitcoin is the right choice.
but if you have Ethereum you better hold it because only Ethereum is reliable and there are still profitable opportunities and the bitcoin movement will increase Ethereum even if only slightly.

This is the best time to invest because the market is crumbling again in which the coins are getting dump at all times so that was a good chance to make investments and wait until the great pump up and the bullish of the market in which we can make a lot of earnings by that. Because remember way back year 2017 the great bullish of the market in crypto comes, lets just wait the 3 golden cross to come and I assure that we will gain profit than the usual.

I know for sure that no one can answer your question with an accuracy of 100% in which cryptocurrency you need to invest. You should always remember that any investment is a risk, and investments in cryptocurrency are high-risk. As for me, I would invest part in bitcoin and part in top altcoin, for example ETH. I have been following the market for a long time and studied the history of market development, and saw a certain pattern, cycles. All this makes me understand that we are now at the beginning of a new cycle of market growth. This does not mean that growth will be tomorrow or at the end of this year. All this may happen within the next 2 to 4 years. This is just my guess, not a statement.

Yes it is true that the price of Alt on the market cannot be predicted with certainty when it will go up or down, but at least we can estimate a little. Long-term ownership is indeed more effective and also has greater benefits, but it is still risky if the coins we buy are not good, Bitcoin and Ethereum might be the best choice for the long term because of relatively high price increases compared to others.

Do not just buy coins just because it is cheap, you should buy altcoins that have potential to grow again. You will only experience loss if you will buy altcoins that are not capable of having characteristics in surviving in the market.

Well I would highly recommend that now is the time keep on investing since the value dropdown so you'll be able to buy it at a lower price and earn big profit when the price rises again so you need to hurry if you really want to earn big profit and don't wait for the price to rise again before you invest. Don't lose hope, the market situation will pump up again.
