It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

You can run different mining software and hardware on the same computer.
That's multi tasking  Wink
I'm mining with my GPU and Moonlander 2 on the same PC, no problem.

Hi styleshifter .
Yes I know that. I am running my gpu rig with moonlanders at same time. But my problem is running moonlander with gekkoscience newpac at same time even using 2 separates hubs  .
I think it's a driver problem between winusb ( gekko) and uart vcp ( moonlander) drivers.
I dont know if they compatible? At least I am not having success.....

You have to specify the COM port for each stick in both software, so they dont mess with each other. If you leave it at the default AUTO scan then the software will scan both sticks while they are running and cause it screw up the first running stick.

Yes each stick, its not that complicated, for all Moonlanders you just have to specify the COM port for each one and put all 6 in the start.bat file (ie -S \\.\COM1 -S \\.\COM2 -S \\.\COM3 etc).

So for an example cgminer detects gekko in usb 7 and usb 8. Imagine my bat file:
cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://pool.ckpool.org:3333 -u address -p x --suggest-diff 128 --gekko-2pac-freq 150.
Were i put  the -- usb : 7 --usb: 8 command ?

Yes you can as long as you have enough Usb ports and enough Cpu power which nowadays all our computers have.

Even on old computers without much usb ports you can use a usb hub extender to power your miners but performance will be reduced. These usb miners don’t offer any profit and are only for tinkering around.

Hi all  Smiley. I'm a new unexperienced miner and a new user of this forum, i've got three Moonlander 2 and one  Gekkoscience New pac 2 and i'm in the same troubles: i can't run together BFG Miner for Moonlander 2 and CG miner for Gekkoscience New pac 2, even if i set the file bat as you done it works only for the Three Moonlander, when i start CGMiner the Gekko science new pac 2 doesn' t start, it seems that even the sets i do, CGMiner goes only to search the Moonlander, and i don't understand why...  Huh Huh Huh
Thanks in advance.

It might be that geekoscience has not implemented per port functionality on their software. You would need to contact them and ask them to include this in next software update.
