you should just make art and sell it for funding, no weird pricing scheme, i know id buy one of those, the idea is great, but i dont want some token, just some (erc721) art haha
is that possible right now?

The OP already mentioned no ICO, however, if you want art from them you have to buy their ERC721 token. So more or less, it is already their way of raising funds. But at least you are getting original DeepBlack AI art for small amount of money like about a dollar or so. And if this project will take off and continue to flourish, the AI art that you bought might be valuable in the future. At least no high expectations here and you can own an artwork for very cheap price.

What do you mean by checked by human? Actual inspection of the art? It seems that kind of approach is hard to do if you are not in the area of this DeepBlack computer. From what I understand here, you will choose what AI art you want to purchase and once you paid, you will own that digital art recorded via blockchain. So no one can repurchase that again.
Let us wait what the dev has to say on this.

well given what they told me, since it's STRICKLY an ERC721 based item, you will recieve it instantly after purchase id assume?
their selling them as collectables, think of them like digital baseball cards of the future, Art made solely by AI
im going to be snagging one if this continues to move forward, the idea seems pretty original, i just wish there was a physical for a conversation piece like my other crypto stuff hehe
