To my shame I haven't put in much effort for promoting blockchain technology and cryptocurrency especially in my local area. I do say amazing things about crypto and how it can revolutionise all the industries in the world.how

As a matter of fact I'm now contributing to a project that wants to truly decentralize the world. Unfortunately very few people actually run full nodes. Most of them rely on third party services.
Your effort in helping and promoting blockchain and crypto technologies is truly a compliment but this task is probably too great for your ability, to be honest, what you should do is hard work making money through blockchain and crypto. Because we are the first generation of this program, if we develop well and improve a lot of income, the evidence will be more than enough to convince everyone around, words or propagation won't work as well as what people see, the results of your efforts are ineffective

Our very own experience is the best way for people--our families, friends, and colleagues--to see and prove that there is a bright future in blockchain and cryptocurrency.

By sharing and showing to them our testimony or experience on how we started, the struggles we encountered along the way, and the times that we are enjoying what we have been invested and work hard for is a much better way of promoting the importance and benefits of blockchain and cryptocurrency these days. Lead the way for them and be open to assist them once they started to be interested to learn what is it all about.

Am I supposed to do something? I think blockchain technology can cope without me

Sounds more like "Am I supposed to clean the house? I think the house can cope (clean itself) without me". Lol... You have to understand that every effort (negative or positive has an impact.

Honestly, I have tried what I can to promote the Blockchain technology but, to almost no avail. Also, it isn't compulsory to promote the Blockchain technology but necessary because this is our world and we have to tell people what it's like (so they can benefit too).

In my last post, I was asking why the Blockchain technology isn't adopted as fast as we suppose. I got a lot of replies which did not only enlighten me, but also enlightened others. It's cool to have lively people here. In this post, I'm asking a simple question. Since we've come to understand that some people consider the Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies to be scam and some other stories, what have you done to help promote the Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies? How many people have you introduced them to? How active are the people you introduced?
I am a college student and during my last year i had to present a project on a topic that aims to change the future and if succeeded the college would  fund you to create it, and so my choice was without thinking about the blockchain technology and how it could change they way we interact and do transaction with each other and during this presentation i presented a suggestion for the college to replace their database with a blockchain network to make the process easier for the students, the idea got accepted very well and currently me and a couple of my mates are working on creating this network.

I believe most of us tried to promote blockchain technology specifically cryptocurrency.  But I feel most of us hit a wall of doubt on the part of the listener due to the scams being the first one to exploit the technology.  Even if we are enthusiast if our recipient is doubtful we can do nothing about since all we can do is share our experience and told them the wonderful stuff we experienced while participating in the blockchain industry.

This is really impressive. If I may say, it's one of the first successful promotion of the Blockchain technology I've seen. Sometimes, I think that the thoughts of the listener depends on your way of presentation. Good job on promoting this digital world!

tips to promote:
political promoters:
DO NOT promote regulation. regulation does not help people. instead it just gives businesses a shiny sherrifs badge to stalk and spy on people and report them for doing things with thier own funds
DO promote consumer protections. as consumer protections ensure those doing business are insured against loss and also protected by data privacy laws.

social promoters:
DO arrange local discussion meetups by searching out people that know more than enough about bitcoin that live in your area to help discuss and present information about what blockchains are all about.
DONT just arrange 'investment' meetups because usually the talks end up just sounding like get rich quick scams which gives blockchains a bad name as people still dont understand what blockchains are really about.

merchant adoption
DONT just walk into a national distribution merchant and demand they start accepting crypto or else you will walk out. as thy will just smile and watch you walk. local managers dont have those kind of powers to make such payment changes to a nationally released checkout service software.
DO organise local meetups and find out what are the most popular local independant stores that do have some say in how they are run. find the ones local bitcoiners would actually use if they accepted crypto and concentrate your efforts on those stores first.
DO even offer to give the merchant a pre funded 'bar tab' of fiat that way the retailer is not at a loss thinking that they will never see the money while accepting a strange token they never heard of/dont understand enough of. then the local bitcoiner(s) become the guy that get the coin from the merchant and the merchant gets the fiat. then expand on how the merchant can self service it all by using proper exchanges or keep the crypto for own investment

education adoption
again using local meetups/microcons (small conferences) teach people but about the 'investment' but the tech and stability of blockchains in comparison to crappy banking software and regulations. again dont push the investment side too much as even selling ice to an eskimo can sound investible if worded right. but if you concentrate on the tech and the social advantages, then those wanting to invest will do so happily without the feeling that its a iffy sales pitch

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

actually I have introduced a number of people, one of them is my family about blockchain and other types and I see after introducing a bit about blockchain and cryptocurrency they are very active and always want to learn more about blockchain and other cryptocurrency, I am very happy to see the people I introduce to the world of cryptocurrency they are more active than myself to learn more about other digital currencies.

why should any of us do any promoting?
do you think if we start aggressive promotions it will help to increase bitcoin's price?
it may add some adopters, yes, but they won't be natural ones.
I think the way people comes to crypto should be natural - I mean if they want to know about crypto they will find info about it themselves and will stay in the field

I have shared everything about Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies with my friends but we can't deny the fact that we can't please all of them. I asked them to download our local crypto wallet where they could buy electronic load and pay bills on their convenience but only a few of them bought and invested with Bitcoin. However, there are new crypto believers who are now using that local app for multi-purposes. It's hard to please everybody about the benefits of blockchain technology but it will surely speak for itself in the future.

It will happen if they see how you gained the benefits of working with crypto and blockchain. People are easy being attracted once they've seen that there's a good result from the person who are introducing them the opportunities. It's enjoyable to see that those people you work with and teached
about this new system have a good interest and able to find time to engage much deeper.

By continuing to guide them whenever they've need support to catch up with more deeper interest, it will bring more enhancement to learn different useful skills.

This is accurate! Most people will believe you once your proofs are your experience. For sure, there will be tons of questions regarding crypto and blockchain. And we totally understand that because we were once on their shoes. But, regardless of the number of questions they may throw at us, we can back fire with right answers since we have the knowledge developed through our experience.

We can't push them to accept blockchain immediately for they still have their own decisions. But, let's just continue to learn from our experiences and let them see how far we've come with crypto and blockchain technology. After all, 'Action speaks louder than words.'

Using my mobile phone, what I am doing to promote the use of cryptocurrency is to sell mobile load to my colleague using an application that utilizes cryptocurrency. In that case, they will be notified about the transaction, where the transaction was made, and the way how seamless it could be by them doing the same thing as what I am doing.

Me personally, I didn't really push my circle of friends into blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. I might have mentioned it to them sometime, tell them that I have been using one, but I didn't yet push or really taught someone what to do. I have taught someone about campaigns but I don't think I promote blockchain there, I have just taught him how to earn money. It is different because he didn't love the technology behind it, only the money he is getting.

Well as my part, I didn't tell about it on anyone excepts for my family and my neighborhoods because I don't want to push myself to let them use the blockchain technology so instead I'm just sharing, how crypto currency help me in terms of needs and its up to them if they want to use it or not.

Many are still uneducated and not enlightened about blockchain technology and k for people, especially the older generation is still stucked with the technology they started to use and is not open in learning newer ones so the adoption of blockchain technology in terms of the generation older than the crypto enthusiasts right at this moment is kind of slow. So for me to contribute to the massive adoption, or if not, at least give knowledge and illuminate my circle with the words of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, I am sharing articles on my social media accounts about blockchain and bitcoin, even talk to my friends about it. Lastly. the application. I am using bitcoin in any way possible cause I know big changes starts with little actions and changes from myself.

Same for me! I am usually sharing news or specially memes at my Social media account for people to relate or to attract views, In that way I can inform people about the cryptocurrency and also entertain them. We need to increase the Bitcoin awareness so that people will be inform and maybe soon get into to crypto.

I'm not a famous or influential person so the least I could do is mostly promoting it through social medias by sharing posts, articles and such that is related to cryptocurrency and bitcoin where my friends and followers could see. I've been also introducing it a lot with my colleagues and acquaintance. Using them as a topic for academic purposes like research. We've done this before but we have to change topic because it's difficult to find related studies. Though my prof find it interesting...

Speaking frankly i have not done anything at large level to promote btc or blockchain technology but i have somehow conveinced my family members and some close freinds about the benefits of blockchain technology and its mass adoption in the future and they are also working alongwith me in this feild. But it is diificult to promote it at mass because the governments have spread negativity about it and people fear to invest in it or think it as bubble but its need to be promoted and awareness should be created among people about its usage.
