What you've suggested is far better than investing on casinos. These days there were large number of casinos available, to find the trusted one is really a hard process. When you buy a product and sell it for bitcoin, even if there is fluctuation in price you can profit, if not you can eliminate the loss. With bankroll investment everything is upon trust. Yes, that will be a solution to people who want to make money, and I think that will be safer than investing in the casino. But you need to choose the right product, so you don't have to wait too long to sell and make a profit.
