Bug Report in guided setup.

The new start file is created in the following way
Code:
SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --config Config\config-yespower.txt --pools Pools\pools-yespower.txt --disable-gpu --logfile Logs\log-yespower.txt

Correct bat
Code:
SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --config-file Config\config-yespower.txt --pools-file Pools\pools-yespower.txt --disable-gpu --log-file Logs\log-yespower.txt

Setup uses the old srbminer format.

Hi, the format is wallet.id on skypool.

You can't mine 0xbtc with this, i just quick googled it looks like their stratum/net code is different, maybe some other things too.

Code:
New network launch

-MBCs (MicroBitcoin) which haven't been moved since hardfork will be burned. (There is approximately 2,700,000 BTC activated so far from the 525,001 block)
-Locking up the 50% of the premined contributors' MicroBitcoin. (Almost 5,000,000,000 MBC will be technically locked up until 2021.)
-Maximum Supply will be almost 61,000,000,000 MBC. It will be different according to the snapshot amount.
-Reward for first block of new network will be changed from 12,500 MBC to 5,500 MBC. And reward for each new block will be calculated using the function in the document below.
-To make network more reliable, prevent block spamming and create better fee market, block size will be decreased to 300kb.
-New PoW lgorithm - modified YesPower (sha256 replaced with blake2b)

You can read more about new network in following this post https://mbc.wiki/d/31-new-network-launch

Your new miner for rainforestv2 algorithm was perfect. But there is an update on the MBC.
Will you support the new algorithm for MicroBitcoin ?

Yes, i will. CPU miner will be ready, for GPU part i am not even sure that there will be one, as yespower is GPU unfriendly Smiley

:O  damn man nice, i was JUST saying in an earlier thread i needed a modern miner for my r9's i was firing back up
then you release this, couldn't be better timing.
Gonna test this tonight, nice to see something by a known dev
Have some merit on me Smiley

Sorry i will have to dissapoint you, but i added support for those blindly, i don't own anything older than rx, so please share the results with me too Smiley

oh ok, ya so far ive had no luck with rainforestv2 on my 290's, but i have alot of testing yet to do, i should really just retire these things to a scrapyard probably Tongue
590's are like less than 200$ usd now :O seems like a good price

I got it running for 10 days on 7 rigs, same cards 4/8gb .. that is about 40 gpu's.. did you try anything else beside leaving the default auto config (intensity 0) ?
If you use straps and settings for ethereum, you should give it a little more voltage. Mem clock is not really important so it can be lowered.
Share what have you tried, maybe i/we can help you.
It's the easiest to say the problem is in the miner.. Smiley

Auto setup sets 2 threads / gpu, so try 1 thread instead.

For 470/570 try :

intensity 27
worksize 64
threads 1

for 480/580 :

intensity 27
worksize 128
threads 1

Also try to play with intensity, not all gpu's can handle the same settings/overclocking settings.

Iīm mining on cpu pool and use there miner:

https://github.com/cpu-pool/cpuminer-opt-cpupower/releases

cpu affinity = 0x55 = 0 2 4 6

ok, i have an i5-2500k , it has same instruction set as your cpu, but 4 threads.
With all 4 threads i get ~430hs, sse2 cause no sha available. No affinity set, just --cpu-threads 4 .
I tried the miner from your link , 4 threads give approx the same result.

I will compare these two on a few more machines, but i think there won't be such a drastical difference as in your case.

How does your cmd line for SRB looks like ? Are you using the same affinity settings as with that other miner?

Hi @doktor83,

I am not sure if this would interest you. But have look out at Raptoreum coin. They currently on Testnet and should go to mainet soon.
Might be something you can develop for CPU minable coin and possible GPU as well.

Power2b/lyra2z330/Terahash/m7m/defyx/Randomx/Ghostrider/Scrypt^2?

It is not possible or make no sense, thats the ideao of this algoīs  Roll Eyes

V0.1.2 beta

+ Added support for kangaroo12 algo [k12]
+ All algorithms that have a fee now have the same ~0.85% devfee
+ More bug fixes

Aeon will fork to k12 algo around Oct. 25th.

Unfortunately there are already FPGA bitstreams ready for this algo, but still, you should jump on GPU mining it at least a few days after the fork, cause it should be profitable.
Performance : ~1500MHS on Vega56 (40% faster than VulkanXMRMiner)

Hi Dok - thanks for all your hard work on SRB.

Quick question, just trying to understand why you said Cryptonite algo coins are slowly dying and why CN miner support is EOL (end of life)?

Cryptunit.com has many CN projects and they are all very active in development - just trying to understand your reasoning behind this decision, maybe you will re-think it and continue support, it is a great miner. CN algo is also very active with many projects, duno maybe I'm missing something here. Anyways just trying to understand. Thanks in advance!

I don't understand what should be fixed? Tested on sparkpool and hashpool, both work.

OK. I set config manually and start testing. DOK, you are great again) your miner more power effectively than NB or sparkminer. I have 346 Mh/sec from rx480 and less than 100 w from the wall)))

Noo, you can set up to 200 characters for wallet address in guided setup mode, so that should fit the wallet.payment-id format too.

V0.1.4 beta

+ Fixed a critical bug with work creation for fast algorithms [k12, keccak]

If you want to mine k12 or keccak algorithms with a rig, you should update to this version.

Also here are some numbers for K12, but on cards that used to mine ETH:

RX560   ~ 350 MHS [1180/1500]
RX470   ~ 790 MHS [1130/1900]
VEGA56 ~ 1770 MHS [1500/900]

You should absolutely raise core clock and lower mem clock to get more hash.

Test pool and address:

Code:
{
"pool" : "162.210.173.150:4444",

Talleo uses CryptoNight Ultra Variant 2, which is similar to CryptoNight Turtle (CryptoNight Ultra Lite Variant 2 or cn_pico/turtle), but is still incompatible. As latest xmr-stak has issues with rejected shares with both CPU and GPU mining, and xmrig doesn't support the algorithm, people are complaining they can't use SRBMiner-CN with their AMD GPUs.

Hello Doktor

Thanks for the initiative. Single core performance on RandomXL seems good.  However there are some error messages thrown up and multi-core performance is poor at the moment. Can you help?  The test system is Dell R620 server with two Xeon E5-2620 V1 and 28 GBytes of RAM.

First the error messages:

Cannot bind database to node     Cannot bind cache to node    See https://drive.google.com/file/d/1o8AnMtIU3J9WstytBRktOa-L9f_C0BeN/view?usp=sharing

Cannot bind scratchpad to node    See https://drive.google.com/file/d/18G_bTBlkV3hUXC-D9X0sMrui1dSmjkFe/view?usp=sharing

The errors appear if I use the wizard to create the BAT file or make my own BAT file.

How can these errors be fixed please?

The performance issue seems to be that the second CPU is not utilised even though SRBMiner identifies 12 cores and 24 threads.

See pics from HWInfo of the two cores

CPU 1     https://drive.google.com/file/d/1C2s1PBm9hmzNAv91Jrsk2ZiWGlvW14Va/view?usp=sharing

Finally I can't see documentation on how to use CPU affinity  and   --cpu-priority. Please can you add it?

Finally I can't see documentation on how to use CPU affinity  and   --cpu-priority. Please can you add it?

Hi, first try removing the --cpu-threads 0 because that sets the number of threads to 1  Grin

Code:
SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --algorithm randomxl --pool loki.miner.rocks:5005 --wallet L7f9SMpr43wNERBxCngFyqMoJvkMax8xSitiJY335ra12ucbiEFzgqKfHJg1Q9y58RGMi3TyGvPC94e6w3zYKK9i9PHmDDr

You can also try to find the best --cpu-threads by hand for your system.

--cpu-priority is just a number from 1-5, the higher the priority level of a process, the more will be its assigned processor time.
--cpu-affinity is a mask (can be used hex like 0x.... or just the decimal number). An affinity mask is a bit mask indicating what processor(s) a thread or process should be run on by the scheduler of an operating system.

CPU 0     https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IhRbu9z1F1-DWaJpz7o3dyQvazSOe3VM/view?usp=sharing
CPU 1     https://drive.google.com/file/d/1C2s1PBm9hmzNAv91Jrsk2ZiWGlvW14Va/view?usp=sharing

Here is the command line used   SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --algorithm randomxl  --cpu-threads 0 --pool loki.miner.rocks:5005 --wallet L7f9SMpr43wNERBxCngFyqMoJvkMax8xSitiJY335ra12ucbiEFzgqKfHJg1Q9y58RGMi3TyGvPC94e 6w3zYKK9i9PHmDDr  --cpu-threads

Hello Doktor

I tried SRMMiner 0.1.5 on a 2 core Celeron machine. It worked first time on the RX.MINEXMR RandomX TestNet. No errors. I followed your instructions for enabling huge pages. That also worked. Performance was 7% higher than XMR-RIG. Great.

Thanks for the feedback about the Dell R620 server.   I started a fresh with your guided-setup.bat and used the RandomX testnet at RX.MINEXMR.

Unfortunately I got exactly the error codes as the first time + the second CPU is not being utilised.

I was able to utilise the second CPU by adding --cpu-affinity 0x555555 . That problem is solved. . Since the miner recognises all the threads and core automatically would it be possible to automatically set the miner up to use all CPUs?

Mining performance of SRBMiner 0-1-5 on RandomX at rx.minexmr.com was initially 92% of the hashrate achieved with XMRIG 4.5.0 Beta but when I ran it overnight hashrate exceeded XMRIG by 5%.  Not bad for your initial release.  I tried adding additional threads but it made no difference. Whereas XMRIG actually goes slower on these CPU when more than 1 thread per core is used.

The Celeron and the Dell R620 run Windows 10 Professional.

How about the binding errors? Do they matter? Perhaps additional performance could be achieved without these errors?

See links below. Thanks in advance for your help.

Screenshots of errors: Cannot bind to XXX errors

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pas-ckr-JiVyvtJfA0HktwfhyE0WTZgX/view?usp=sharing

FOOTNOTE

I also have an R9 Fury on the Celeron machine. When I run SRBMiner 0.1.5 in parallel with Claymore 15 mining ETH I got a small speed improvement of 0.8% on Claymore 15! Claymore reduced the performance of SRBMiner on RandomX by 15% when run in parallel.

Yes it's better but I have x4 Opteron 6234 48 threads.
When I load on 46 threads it can load only 24, I can use the utility to load on 46 but it should be done manually, or 2 miners on 24 threads.

Hi, you could manually set the number of threads and the affinity, maybe it can get out more hash.
New version in a few days, it should have a better auto setup.

V0.1.7 beta

+ Added 'm7mv2' algorithm (Magi coin - XMG)
+ Cpu auto configuration should be better than on previous versions
+ Added CPU data to API, also rearranged a few things in API
+ Console window 'Quick Edit' mode disabled on miner start, so users won't accidentally pause miner by clicking in the console window

Any hashrate indics for k12 on commonly used GPUs?

auto intensity settings, memory is not important for K12 i just benchmarked for you :

Rx560 [14 cu] 1170/1500 : ~340MHS
Vega56 [56 cu] 1450/940 : ~1700MHS

Hi doktor83,

I am doing a lot of tests on CPU mining with RandomX algo.
I am using version 0.1.6 on a Fujitsu Primergy RX2560 M1 server.
I have two Intel XEON E5-2630 V3 @ 2.40GHZ 16 cores, 32 threads available

I would like to share my results with you and discuss about hyper-threading option.

1st test (WITH hyper-threading option enabled in BIOS, default option) :

- 16 cores, 32 threads available
SRB uses only 16 threads with auto config with a speed of 4400 Hr / s

1 in 2 thread is not used when analyzing processors activity.
I tried to play with the CPU Affinity and CPU Thread options but could not get better than 4400. If I force 32 threads (or 24, or 30) with the CPU threads option I get a ridiculous speed .

2nd test (WITHOUT hyper-threading option activated in the BIOS) :

- 16 cores, 16 threads available.
SRB uses 15 threads in auto setup. The speed increases a bit, 4900Hr / s

So I would like to know if you knew about it and if you intended to add in your code the hyper threading. If you do not plan to work on it maybe you could warn people not to use the hyper threading option to have a better Hr / S.
I think if hyper-threading option can be manage in SRB we can get maybe 1.6x more speed, what do you think ?

Thank you for your feedback on the subject Smiley

And what if you run 15 threads, with HT ?
For me 1.6x more speed is 60% more speed, not the case here, no ?

Some hash rates. I've got an i9-7980XE @~3.6ghz

M7Mv2:
SRB: 18 threads Ė ~272 kh/s, ~72% cpu usage, ~50mb RAM
Minerd (Wolf's): 18 threads Ė ~340 kh/s, ~66% cpu usage, ~4mb RAM

Testing RandomX.

1 thread or 12 threads, same message. What does that means ?

Some hash rates. I've got an i9-7980XE @~3.6ghz

M7Mv2:
SRB: 18 threads Ė ~272 kh/s, ~72% cpu usage, ~50mb RAM
Minerd (Wolf's): 18 threads Ė ~340 kh/s, ~66% cpu usage, ~4mb RAM

What is the hashrate for 1 thread on both miners, can you test that?

Testing RandomX.

1 thread or 12 threads, same message. What does that means ?

[2019-11-18 15:40:02] Insufficient system resources available to allocate 2129920 kB in large-page memory
[2019-11-18 15:40:06] Dataset & Cache & VM initialized in 5014 ms

It means there are not enough free pages, i put a small text on first post + readme:

Quote
If you get "Insufficient system resources available to allocate X kB in large-page memory" message, that means you dont have enough FREE memory left, a computer restart should solve this.
Large-page memory regions may be difficult to obtain after the system has been running for a long time because the physical space for each large page must be contiguous, but the memory may have become fragmented.
If you still get this message even after restarting, try increasing virtual memory.

Xmrig displays this differently ( ' ..huge pages 75% 3/4.. ' ), but its probably not so scarry because users probably don't notice that  Cool

No other option than restart ? It's my server Cheesy

EDIT

Result on my server ( without restart, so always with the ressource warning ) :

CPU0: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5645 @ 2.40GHz [L3:12288 KB][L2:256 KB][L1:32 KB]
CPU1: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5645 @ 2.40GHz [L3:12288 KB][L2:256 KB][L1:32 KB]

With default settings ( using 12 threads ) :
1mn avg = 1636H/s
5mn avg = 1653H/s

Tried playing with --cpu-threads and --cpu-affinity, but no better result than with default settings Cheesy

Very low result compared with KolordZ Sad

You can get 50+% more hashrate if using large pages Smiley

You tried --cpu-threads 12 --cpu-affinity 0xAAAAAA ?

Hello @doktor83,

Some news with SRBMiner-MULTI 0.1.7 :

I use 2x Intel XEON E5-2630 V3 @ 2.40GHZ
16 cores, 32 threads available with Hyper-Threading

WITH Hyper-Threading option enabled :

https://zupimages.net/up/19/47/vmyq.png

- Only 50-55% processor activity
- Only 16 Threads used out of 32
- Around 4400Hr/s
- Can't get more with cpu-affinity and cpu-threads

WITHOUT Hyper-Threading option enabled :

https://zupimages.net/up/19/47/z2xe.png

- 100% processor activity
- 16 Threads used out of 16
- Around 4400Hr/s (less than previous version of SRBMiner MULTI 0.1.6 : 4900Hr/s)

-> Previous version used only 15 threads out of 16 in auto-config compare to 0.1.7

I use auto-config each time for doing tests Smiley

It is hard, or maybe not even  possible at all to make the auto config work good on every system with different cpu combinations.
Ver 0.1.7 does the threads & affinity calculation in auto mode based on available L3 cache sizes, where 0.1.6 was not . The logic used there was really poor  Grin

So you can set --cpu-threads 15 by hand, without affinity set at all with the HT off, and should get the 4900h/s again.

Yes, I could probably use --cpu-threads 15 without Hyper-Threading enabled to get the 4900h/s again, but this is not that I would like to know.

I would like to know how can we use the Hyper-Threading to get a better hashrate.

If we can get 4400h/s with H-T (Hyper-Threading) enabled and only 55% processor activity with 16 thread out of 32 we could probably get like 30 or 31 threads out of 32 and get like, 7000h/s (x1.6)

EDIT : with --cpu-threads 15 without H-T I have 4900h/s again

No because you are limited with the size of L3 and L2 caches.

But you can run Arqma on 32 threads probably Smiley

Hi, dok!

I was trying to use your new miner for Loki (randomxl) with just my ryzen 1600. gpu mining was disabled.
It gives good 3900h/s instead of xmrig 3300-3500 I was using before.
But suddenly I discovered some hashrate lose to only 30h/s.
Look on pool graph

Income become lower too (comparing with xmrig I was using before).

Here is my config
SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --disable-gpu --cpu-threads 6 --cpu-affinity 0x555 --config-file Config\config-loki.txt --pools-file Pools\pools-loki.txt --log-file Logs\log-loki.txt

Al other is std.
I can provide log.
What can be the cause of the problem?

Wow that graph looks really bad, like you turned miner on & off, on & off.
Is this happening from the start, or it was ok then this happened?

Also which pool is this, and how long period?
What does the pool show for 24h avg hashrate?

Nothing wrong with the config, that could fix this  Grin
Can you send me the log on discord?

i have aprox 350-370Mhs on RX 580 and 300-320Mhs on RX 570 using ethash settings. very bad in comparison with NVIDIA. not worth minnig ckb with amd now. also with nvidia card you can dual mine ethash + eaglesong.  with 40gpus getting like 12Ghs wich is 7usd/day.

It does, the previous version SRBMiner-CN is there, you can use it.
Also if anything interesting comes in and it's CN based, i might consider adding it to this version (Multi).

Good day guys, how i see srb miner no more supports cryptonight algo.
What i can mine on my RX550 2G gpus?

It does, the previous version SRBMiner-CN is there, you can use it.
Also if anything interesting comes in and it's CN based, i might consider adding it to this version (Multi).

I hope so!
For me, the SRBMiner is the best CN algo miner on the hood. It would be nice to dual mining CN algo AMD CPU+GPU with this miner.
Keep it up! Very good work!

V0.1.8 beta

+ Added Kadena algorithm (pool mining only)
+ Added yespoweric algorithm (IsotopeC)
+ Added yespoweriots algorithm (IOTScoin)
+ Added yespower2b AVX support
+ Fixed nicehash protocol compatibility with rpc2
+ Miner now won't quit if not enough free RAM for an algorithm, it will just warn the user

Tip:
If you have AVX2 and miner can't detect it and uses SSE4.1 (you can see in log), try adding --force-cpu-extension avx2-aes to your .bat file

How to mine Kadena:

Create an address (public key + private key) here : https://pact.kadena.io
Enter an account name in the bottom right, click generate and it will create public key + private key.
You will use public key as your wallet address

SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --algorithm kadena --pool kda-us.icemining.ca:3700 --wallet public_key

Note: Kadena can be mined with CPU and GPU, but if you mine with both at the same time, GPU hashrate will drop!

V0.1.9 beta

+ Added RandomSFX algorithm (SafexCash)
+ RandomX algorithm/s improvements
+ Added RandomX algorithm/s extra tweak that can increase hashrate
+ Added parameter --disable-randomx-tweaks
+ Fixed K12 algorithm
+ --cpu-priority now affects main process too (not just worker threads)
+ default --cpu-priority is now 2 (below normal)
+ bug fixes
+ added license text to readme for RandomX and WinRing0

- Added RandomSFX for SafexCash mining

- Following the trends : MSR registers values editing to control hw prefetching. Just run miner with administrator privileges, it should detect & set things automatically. RandomX algorithms only.
A big thanks to Sech1 and others who found this nice tweak.

- If you dont want to use the RandomX tweaking, run miner without administrator privileges or add --disable-randomx-tweaks to your start.bat

V0.2.0

+ Added RandomV algorithm (MoneroV)
+ Added --randomx-use-tweaks , to select the MSR tweak/s to apply
+ Added RandomX tweak support for Intel Core2 processors

About --randomx-use-tweaks

If miner starts crashing, or creates bad results after enabling the extra tweaks, you can try the '--randomx-use-tweaks' parameter, where you can define which tweak/s you want to enable.
Without this option miner enables all available tweaks (same as --randomx-use-tweaks 0123 for AMD, --randomx-use-tweaks 0 for Intel) , but with '--randomx-use-tweaks' you can define which ones you want to use.

There are at the moment :
Intel - 1 tweak
Amd - 4 tweaks

Index starts from 0, so you have 0 1 2 3 for options on AMD.

Here's an example :

+ Use tweaks number 0 and 3 (dont use 1 and 2)

Code:
SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --algorithm randomx --pool your-pool-here --wallet your-wallet-here --password your-password-here --randomx-use-tweaks 03

The order of tweaks doesn't matter, so writing 03 is same as 30.

What you should do is to find which tweak, or combination of tweaks, makes the problems.
You should try enabling tweaks one by one, and test to see if miner runs stable with one tweak, and if it does, test the next one etc.
Luckily there are not so many combinations for you try (because 0123 is for example same as 3021 or 1302.. )

So start with :
Code:
SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --algorithm randomx --pool your-pool-here --wallet your-wallet-here --password your-password-here --randomx-use-tweaks 0

If it runs without crashing for some time, try the next one :

Code:
SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --algorithm randomx --pool your-pool-here --wallet your-wallet-here --password your-password-here --randomx-use-tweaks 1

and so on, until you find the one that makes the trouble.

Then try combining tweaks to find a combination that works for you.

hi Doktor!

I'm back to your miner. Used to mine with GPU and SRBMiner.

Now GPU mine ETH, but i try CPU Core i3 8100 with multi randomx, (autoconfig) and have resulted with 1920 H/s on average.

Is it ok result for this cpu and algo, and is it some better profitable coin for cpu mining?

Please advice me, stuck with cryptonight algo coins for years, never look any other algo...

Keep up a good work!

I'm curious to know how you try to detect that !?

I'm doing nothing, miner switch between 3 pools because of pool problems.
The 3 pools are the same, only the port change.

EDIT1
Using bbc01.bbcpool.io

EDIT2
Same on another rig Sad

And from what I see in my logs, miners have not been restarted in this period.

V0.3.0

+ First version for Linux (Tested on Ubuntu 18.04)
+ Removed RandomV (MoneroV) algorithm
+ Added 'defyx' algorithm (Scala)
+ Added 'yespoweritc' algorithm (Intercoin)
+ Added 'cryptonight_catalans' algorithm (CatalansCoin)
+ Added 'cryptonight_talleo' algorithm (Talleo)
+ --randomx-use-tweaks accepts now values from 0-4, [ 0 - Intel, 0,1,2,3,4 - AMD ]
+ Added parameter 'worker' to pools config and cmd parameters -> defines worker name for RPC2
+ a lot of bug fixes

Finally a version for linux users too!
Still lacks a few options (like gpu temp etc monitoring), but it will be implemented.
I am expecting a lot of bugs, so if you have any bug reports don't hesitate Smiley

Defyx is ~100% faster than XLARig  Roll Eyes

Also for users who have issues with MSR mods + older Ryzens, try adding this to cmd :

Code:
--randomx-use-tweaks 0134

Yes, i will. CPU miner will be ready, for GPU part i am not even sure that there will be one, as yespower is GPU unfriendly Smiley
What do you think mining RandomX coins with RagerX which can increase hashrate about 10%? Is it make sense.

SRBMiner 0.3.0 and 0.3.1 have very low performance when mining Talleo compared to xmrig and xmr-stak. When SRBMiner starts up, it overrides thread count specified on command-line, so it doesn't use correct number of threads. My processor doesn't support HyperThreading, but mining Talleo requires twice the number of cores for thread count as it has very small scratchpad size. For example 12 threads for 6 physical cores. Both xmr-stak and xmrig allow using multiple threads per physical core, but 2 threads per core is maximum usable for my processor.

True, you can't use more threads than you have processing units in SRB. If this is the case what you say than starting two instances of SRB should solve this, but my guess is it won't.
I have a 4 core i5, and running 4+4 threads in separate instances is not helping, hashrate get's divided so at the end i have same hashrate as with 4 threads in one miner instance.

Also when setting the config in xmrig to :

Code:
"cn-pico": [[2, 0], [2, 1], [2, 2], [2, 3]]

It says : threads 4/4 (Cool (my cpu has 4 cores / no ht), and hashrate is ~ same as in SRB with 4 threads.

Also tried

Code:
"cn-pico": [[2, 0], [2, 1], [2, 2], [2, 3], [2, 0], [2, 1], [2, 2], [2, 3]]

That is : threads 8/8 (16)

Hashrate is same as with first config.

I can't make it hash with much better performance, maybe im not doing something good?

Can you look in the log on the line that says 'CPU extension' ?

edit:
think i get it, you must have an amd cpu, there's no double main loop for it. So that's why you need to run x2 threads. So probably running 2 instances of miner solves this ?

V0.3.3

+ Hashrate increase on 'bl2bsha3' algorithm (~ 10-15% )
+ Added support for Navi (gfx1010) cards for 'bl2bsha3' (let's just say it works)
+ Added possibility to set difficulty for 'bl2bsha3' . Just enter it in the pool password field.
+ Miner can be now used on pools other than 6block if they implement the same stratum protocol as 6block

- If you set 6block pool difficulty too low, your shares will get rejected by the pool

Hello,

Please can somebody assist me with the --benchmarkalgos option.
I have tried it and it said it could not find an algos.txt file . I then went to the folder i found a file called algos-examples.txt which i renamed.
Reran the command now it asks for a pool.txt file.
I dont understand why this is a headache to run benchmarks.

cpuminer has a benchmark option and it tests every algo, no need to add parameters for pools or addresses or algos.

How do i go ahead and benchmark the algos for SRBMiner ?

Here's a quick video on how to mine Handshake coin :

How to mine Handshake coin

Hi! I have strange problem on two rigs(other rigs not have this problem). The miner doesnít show the hashrate at all, it hasnít shown it for a day and I donít know which hash it works with so far. Hot keys like "h" or "s" also do not work. But the miner himself sends the shares and works. What wrong and how to solve this problem?

This is indeed strange, because it should display the hashrate every 2 minutes automatically.
Have you tried.. restarting it ? Also is it on Windows or Linux ?

Of course  tried and even rebooted the system. Windows 10 is everywhere. 7 rigs work fine but three have these problems and I donít know what to do with it.

If mining HANDSHAKE and you suddenly got miner show all rejected shares, dont worry they are not rejected. Pool changed the message they send back to the miner on successful/rejected shares, and now miner thinks it rejected, but in reality it isnt. You should verify this by having a hashrate displayed on your 6block account on their dashboard

Latest release is a good solution for Handshake mining. RX580 gives about 140-150 mh/s. If HNS coin will have such a price next days it will be favourite crypto for miners.

V0.3.5
+ Added 'cryptonight_bbc' algorithm (BigBangCore) - DevFee 2.5%
+ Lowered devfee for 'bl2bsha3' to 2%
+ Some gpu's might get a tiny hashrate increase on 'bl2bsha3'
+ Gpu sensors now available in Linux
+ --adl-disable parameter now available in Linux
+ --shutdown-temperature parameter (shutdown_temperature in config) now available in Linux
+ --gpu-off-temperature parameter (off_temperature in config) now available in Linux
+ Removed option to set difficulty for 'bl2bsha3' in password field
+ Removed notification for 6block stratum compatibility
+ Possibly fixed a bug where miner shows it's hashing (always shows exactly same hashrate), but gpu's are stalled

V0.3.6
+ 'cryptonight_bbc' algorithm updated (active from block 133060)
+ Added '--enable-opencl-cleanup' parameter to enable OpenCL resources freeing on miner exit/restart (default is disabled because it can hang miner if driver crashed)

- BigBangCore changed algorithm again, and this time it is much better on GPU. To be able to mine it you need to have a verified wallet on their official pool ( http://bbc01.bbcpool.io/ )

@doktor83

Hi, what about my question? ^^

Oh, a little googling could help you there, but let me answer then : large (or huge) pages is neither L2 or L3 cache.
When you download SRBMiner for windows theres a folder 'Docs' where you can find Enable-Huge-Pages.txt file, which explains how you can enable large pages on windows.

Yes, i know how to enable huge pages. My question was about this debug output:

Last line means SRBMiner can work with huge pages only on AMD Zen platform?

It just means that Windows could not allocate 2+ GB in large page area , so basically a computer restart solves this Smiley

V0.3.7
+ 'kadena' algorithm huge hashrate increase
+ Added 'gpu_' prefix to GPU related parameters in config file : gpu_intensity, gpu_raw_intensity, gpu_worksize, gpu_threads, gpu_tweak_profile, gpu_target_temperature, gpu_shutdown_temperature, gpu_off_temperature. 'gpu_conf' parameters naming stays the same.
+ Added new parameters in config file : cpu_threads, cpu_affinity, cpu_priority
+ Renamed 'pool_use_tls' in pool configuration file to 'tls'

- Kadena algo is now again profitable to mine with GPU (at least for some time), so try it out!

- From this version i added the gpu_ prefix to all parameters in configuration file that are related to GPU, and used outside gpu_conf. Parameters inside 'gpu_conf' stayed the same.

- Also added possibility to set basic CPU parameters in configuration file ( cpu_threads, cpu_affinity, cpu_priority )

Very core clock dependent, but you should get around 6.4 - 6.5 Ghs on Vega64 for example

V0.4.3

+ Added 'tellor' algorithm (trb.uupool.cn compatible stratum)
+ Improvements on 'minotaur' algorithm
+ Guided setup fixed & simplified

- Added 'tellor' (TRB) algorithm for uupool.cn compatible stratum pools. I tried to contact hashpool.com so i could make their pool compatible too, but could not find any ways to do it (no discord, not answering on email).

- Previous version introduced 'disable_cpu' and 'disable_gpu' parameters for use in configuration files.
Because of that, mixing of cmd parameters '--disable-cpu', '--disable-gpu' and configuration files isn't working as before.
Now you should use only one method : either cmd parameters completely, or configuration files, don't mix them.

Guided setup in previous version created a mixed batch file (i forgot to fix that), now it creates only cmd parameters, and not configuration files.

V0.4.4

+ added 'ethash' algorithm
+ added 'ubqhash' algorithm
+ added parameter '--esm' to set ethash/ubqhash stratum mode for pool (0 - eth-proxy, 1 - miner-proxy)
+ added parameter 'esm' to pools config (ethash/ubqhash stratum mode for pool (0 - eth-proxy, 1 - miner-proxy))
+ added parameter '--enable-ethash-leak-fix' which tries to workaround AMD driver memory leak when recreating DAG
+ fixed algo switching and tweak_profiles miner freeze bug
+ --gpu-tweak-profile option can now be used with auto gpu setup in cmd

I'm a little too late with adding ethash right ? Smiley

If you have a Navi based gpu then you will be happy because SRB is now probably the fastest ETHASH and UBQHASH miner on those (RX 5500/5600/5700 supported).
All this thanks to Wolf9466.

Of course Vega56/64, RX4xx/5xx also work, but since the stuff is written in OpenCL, and not in ASM as in other ETHASH miners, your hashrate can/will be lower.
In this case 'tweak_profile' parameter can be your good friend.

4GB cards will probably work a few epochs longer than on other miners.

Oh and Ethash works with nicehash and their weird protocols.

Here's a short tutorial on how :

Mine BBC on CNPool.cc, when the mining port closes, switch to mining Ethereum on Beepool.org, and when BBC pool becomes again available, automatically switch back to it

1. Rename algorithms_example.txt to algorithms.txt

2. Create start-algoswitch.bat containing : (windows)

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_MAX_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_MAX_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

@echo off

SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --config-file Config\config-cryptonight-bbc.txt --pools-file Pools\autoswitch.txt

3. Go in Pools folder and create autoswitch.txt containing :

Code:
{
"pools" :
[
{
"pool" : "pool.bbc.cnpool.cc:33589",
"wallet" : "put-your-bbc-wallet-here",
"password" : "x",
"algorithm": "cryptonight_bbc",
"worker": "bbc-worker-name"
},
{
"pool" : "eth-pool.beepool.org:9530",
"wallet" : "put-your-ethereum-wallet-here",
"password" : "x",
"algorithm": "ethash",
"worker": "eth-worker-name"
}
]
}

4. Run start-algoswitch.bat and don't change pool manually! It is very important to leave miner trying to reconnect when pool get's unavailable. It will automatically switch to Beepool after a few tries.
If you switch pool's manually, miner will not try to reconnect back to main pool (cnpool)!

You can do this with any algorithm combination, i used BBC/ETH because they are the most profitable at the moment.

Hey Doc,

is this setup possible to run on simplemining also? I was just looking for a dual mining option that is profitable, nowdays it's very difficult to find one
