I don't know of anyone who buys a CPU just for mining. The point of CPU mining is it doesn't need specialized mining equipment.
Most people can get started with what they have, no need to buy anything.

Most people can get started with what they have, no need to buy anything.

I know people who bought CPUs specifically for mining, but there were few miners back then and Monero mining was profitable. Miners also assembled mining farms with a multi-core processor and used dual mining on the processor and video cards. But now that time has passed and you are right that it is not profitable to buy a processor just for mining.

I guess nowadays its possible to mine with any new device Laptop , Smartphone or i dont know what else or whatever other devices are available.
Its possible that all the new things maybe have already some power for doing it , but whether it is profitable is another matter.
I guess that JayDDee have the most experienced knowledge when it comes to mining with cpu related things.
