I don't have any problem with Islam, but I personally don't think that anyone should follow a religion - I won't go into that now though as it is a digression.

Many people in the West hate Islam because they are told to hate it by mainstream media and - probably worse because there is no requirement to adhere to any laws or standards, social media.

The rich elites at the top of society have always kept everyone else in check by making them fight amongst themselves. There is always some concocted 'Other' that we are encouraged to despise. In the UK there is a lot of xenophobia against the immigrants who are supposedly 'coming over here and taking our jobs'. The antipathy towards foreigners extends to Islam because people look at ISIS or Al Qaida and see that Islam is the thread that binds them together. Unfortunately a lot of people are simple-minded bigots who don't realise that this isn't representative of Islam as a whole. Give it a few years and the pendulum will swing away from Islam back to the other common targets.

If you think terrorists groups such as ISIS or Al-Qaeda are the only reason why people hate Islam, then I would say you are a naive person.

What people actually despise from islam is the way their Qur'an teaches their people. Only those who actually read Qur'an will know that this thing can be used for manipulation and horrific interpretations. I judge you as someone who actually knows only 0.5% of what Islam actually is.

I wouldn't say that media conflation of ISIS and Al Qaida Al-Qaeda with Islam is the only reason for the hatred, just the main reason. Most people who hate Islam know even less about it than I do.

Yes, I'm aware that Islam is regarded as more aggressive than say Christianity (I'm reading a book about it now, Outgrowing God, by Richard Dawkins, which says quite a bit about Mohammed's Medina period and how the circumstances at the time led to a more combative religion).

0.5% is probably generous, I know very little of Islam. My position is based more on media representation of Islam, where I would say I know a bit more (although again I'm hardly an expert).

The extremist view of Islam and discrimination against womanhood really turns me off when it comes to teaching of Islam. Being the most followed religion in the world, the manipulation of the its manuscript leads to little extremist which we also call Jihadis. Islam is one of the oldest and most followed religion worldwide. You face islam religion in most of the lanes of any nation but one thing you will notice is difference in rituals and teachings. Kuran for years has been at times manipulated by modern preachers for their personal motives and extremist intentions. Few more things that i dont like about the religion is act of polygamy and other practices which discriminate womanhood. Anyways, things are improving now eg. Saudi women allowed to drive, triple talaq ban in India etc. 

One thing I see continually that I dislike about Islam is the continual repetition of what, to put it bluntly, is just lies. Then you can count on other Muslims never, ever questioning such statements.

I do agree with you that there may be emerging a younger Muslim type that understands at least some of the western values concepts.

As a straight guy I can say for certain that the visual sensory perception of female secondary sex characteristics (boob, butt, bush, etc) trigger an instantaneous response of sexual attraction.  I am quite certain that this is fundamentally built in to my brain and was not very much a learned response.  I also have a instinctual response to male characteristics.  It tends to be one of aggression or preparation for such.

My point is that these types of reactions almost certainly stem from physical brain structure.  Such a structure is more likely to develop in a certain way in a normal healthy male (or female) but the structure itself can be manipulated in various ways.  After full adulthood it's probably tricky, but during development that structure probably is quite malleable.

As for evidence, the 'gay frogs' research was quite valid and quite compelling.  That's why they had to present it through some ass-clown like Alex Jones so it could be painted as 'conspiracy theory' and thus most of the peeps would look no further.  Corbett did a piece on this:

Historically much of the opposition to homosexual activity was kings / leaders seeking to increase the number of male babies who would become soldiers in their country or religion. Period. Hence create negatives for homosexual behavior.

Currently  these trends still exist and exist alongside more progressive trends. Thus we see predominantly Catholic low educated hispanic immigrants in the USA with statistically large families. Same with Muslims as they are very fundamentalist.

I wanted to talk about why people hate (and should hate) Islam, but I was trolled by some of you to homophobia in the animal kingdom, to ways to promote homosexual behaviors, and now you with contraceptives as a solution to the world's population growth. LOL.

Okay I accept that what is the real intention behind gay and lesbianism is not allowed in Islam but when I tried google it being gay and lesbian might increases the chances of getting AIDS? Is this true?

I would suggest that if you seek to find the truth on a matter such as that, do not look at "Islamic sources." Instead, look at authoritative medical sources, such as WebMD. Generally speaking, AIDS has been transmitted through unprotected sex.
