Hello,

after submerging in oil i have problem with one s9.
after showing this line in Kernel log it resets.

Code:

All the rest is working normally but this s9 showed this problem,

There isn't any thing wrong with the kernel log to this point, the kernel log in general looks a bit strange to me, can you post the kernel log of a perfectly working miner ?

also many random issues like this can go away with a simple firmware flash / PSU replacement, unfortunately the kernel log does not always tell you what the problem could be , so really the following 3 things must go under some troubleshooting first.

1-Firmware
2-PSU
3-Network cable/ setting

Thanks mikeywith for your answer.

I'm out of the country at the moment, so i left it without power while i dont back and take a look what is going on.
Maybe PCU don't work good submerged in oil.

Those PCU who is out of oil work without problem.

I made this system to heat my house during winter.
Temperature of oil is about 60c and on other syde of heat exchanger water goes out about 40c,
This is enough for floor heating.

Maybe PCU don't work good submerged in oil.

Just to clafiy, you mean PSU (Power Supply Unit) and not PCU right?


That set up is dope, well done , I wish I had the time , mood and skills to try immersion cooling, by the way, in the first image, the liqud does not seem to be much enough to cover the enter miner ( hash boards) , is that okay? or you added more oil before turning them on?

Yes I mean PSU, I wrote it wrong.

Later i add enough oil to cover the miners all the way.



Guys, problem was, overheating of PSU.

It is submerged in oil but i did not removed fan.
Fan is turning and pushing oil DOWN and keep the heat insyde of the PCU. After couple minutes PSU overheat and restarts.

After removing fan everything work fine..

Now i have problem with other miner. Only one hash board is working.
It is not submerged, this one working with normal fan cooling.
First it stops showing chip temperature on 2 boards, then after restart everything work fine, and after some time stop working.

The first code is how I found it and the second code is after the restart.

What do you think, can i do something to try to back them?
It is last Bitmain firmware on this miner, so way is to flash it with SD card in order to change firmware....
