Back in the days i used to disregard some pennies of my bitcoins in several exchanges thinking that these coins would never be worth it looking at its price at the moment. However, this idea came into my mind about some few weeks ago that what if Bitcoin reaches a double of its previous all time or even greater once this long awaited global adoption sets in.

Seriously this made me think twice and have made me roam through all my exchange accounts and wallets making sure that i have access to them in order to cash out all those pieces of bitcoin if they ever become worth it again. This may sound quite silly but i am quite optimistic about it

And also there are some exchange that is strict in Bitcoin withdrawal, like there are minimum withdrawal amount, so make sure you have the minimum amount, and if they will happen and you can't withdraw because of minimum.
Here's the trick; deposit some amount that will able to reach or above minimum amount for withdrawal.

Be sure to cash it out fast and immediately, I also did that in the past leaving some pennyworth bitcoin thats worth something now and when I remember I have funds there it's too late. My account got hijacked and some of my emails connected to some exchange got lost, I even have altcoins that have value now but unluckily I lost access to it so its goodbye time.

If you have small amounts of Bitcoin that you want to withdraw from exchange, but it's lower than minimum amount or the fee would be too high, than you can buy some altcoins and withdraw them, then send them to an exchange with better terms of withdrawals for Bitcoin. But generally you should avoid having any dust on exchanges, because it's not profitable to move it, while in your wallet you can consolidate it when the fees are low.

No, I don't think that sound silly because we need to secure all of our accounts in the exchanges and to find every asset we have. If we have so many assets in every exchange and its form as bitcoin, then I think it will be worthy if we cash out especially if bitcoin price can reach double price than now.

We need to collect as much bitcoin as we can so when the price increases, we are ready to sell bitcoin at the very highest price. Every exchange has their own minimum amount to withdraw, I think it's not worth it because of the very high transaction fee these exchanges are imposing when withdrawing Bitcoin, the best way is to trade it in altcoins with minimal fee like Ethereum then we you sum it all trade it to Bitcoin again, I agree that all tiny worth of Bitcoin or satoshis will soon have value so faucet workers still has something to hope for.

I think its better to collect all these pieces of Bitcoin at one place i.e. create Bitcoin wallet and store all your Bitcoins there, so that whenever there is increase in its price you can sell it easily. It also reduce the chances of risk of keeping your funds in an exchange wallet. If any exchange have minimum amount withdraw condition, its better to deposit some amount first and withdraw the whole amount thereafter. Current price of Bitcoin is good to buy some BTC, if price goes high then it will difficult to buy to fulfill minimum withdrawal amount condition of any exchange.

Yeah right, the safest way of waiting to double the price of bitcoin is to have your own hardware wallet, not on the exchange you will never know what will happen next where you are outdated.

I don't have assets of any exchanges that I let to sleep when I did not use it. I withdraw them all even how tiny it is. Avoid using different accounts in exchange besides just focus only on one exchange site. If you cant withdraw your bitcoin due to a minimum withdrawal you can bypass it by diverting into other coins that have a low withdrawal fee.

Every one of us hoping that bitcoin price will double every now and then, and I personally hoping when the next halving comes. Accumulating is a good start even how tiny it is, that is worthy when the right time comes.

It's always worth keeping an eye on fees. You never know when moving becomes viable when it wasn't previously.

I have several sources of income, the results of which in the form of Bitcoin. Even if the amount is only a few satoshi, if it is accumulated, it will be a decent result, whatever people want to say negative about me in this regard. The most important thing is that we can accumulate the bitcoin we have it from various sources, when the price of bitcoin can multiply its increase. We can enjoy a profit pretty big. I don't know about that. If the price grows because of higher adoption, this will result in expensive transaction fees. So if you're really talking about some below $10 amounts of BTC, I don't think there's much reason to accumulate them in one place. After all, they can be your transaction fees, but not much more than that, unfortunately. But sure, since now transactions are not expensive, you can work on getting them together, this would not hurt. Another thing to consider is grouping your inputs to reduce the transaction fees in the future (see here). If you combine these actions, you might actually benefit from getting your pieces together.

Bitcoin can soon be valuable when it will have its next bull run if not at the end of the yer then for sure within 2020 due to the scheduled Bitcoin rewards halving. I have already made a round with my exchanges accounts and made sure that available Bitcoin be transferred to my main exchange in anticipation of the coming "to the moon" pump. I am a stingy or thrifty guy so all coins Bitcoin or not that has some value left I made sure I keep on a wallet I will always have access. In addition, I make sure that I do not spend any of my Bitcoin for the next few months and will only do so if there is really a great need I can not avoid.

Op, you are right to think that way.  I remember seeing a post a few years ago when I had first registered, and it showed how one of the first bitcoin faucets looked and what it was paying out.  Suffice to say if one were to have claimed from that faucet regularly back then, they'd be pretty wealthy today with bitcoin where it's at.  The takeaway message for me was to value those satoshis that one gets here and there, because you never know how much they're going to be worth years down the line.

I wish I could find that thread where I saw the old school faucet.  If anyone can find it or something similar, it would bolster op's point.

Being optimistic is okay but being foolish is not. Even if in any case bitcoin beings the bullish mode once again and pumps up there still won't be any kind of movement in useless shitcoin which are worth pennies solely because there are zero people who would take interest in them. Earlier it was an ICO time and every ico coin was booming up but now unfortunately is not the case so you can forget all your exchanges because these coins are RIP now.

If Bitcoin is worth just keep in your wallet, maybe your exchanges can get hacked.
I think Bitcoin in the future is still worth, so i keep some my Bitcoin beside altcoin.
For transaction i always use altcoin, like LTC and Doge. Bitcoin is really expensive for transfer. Maybe the cost for transfer will increase next year. So the amount Bitcoin like unique because that is rare in circulation and the price going up

And I'm sure that when bitcoin's price goes on the roof again, you might incur highest transaction fee and slow confirmation times that it will become worthless. So I would advise to not let it sit on exchanges, as you don't have total control over it. 1$ per satoshi is very high value for bitcoin and I do not think bitcoin can reach to this value.

 0.00000001 SAT is the minimum unit of bitcoin. So if  1 SAT = 1 Dollar, it means 1 Bitcoin = 1000,0000$

This is why I say that a single satoshi cannot be worth a dollar.

This is also the reason that I don't sell completely the total unit of a particular coin I have. This is because an altcoin can be worthless now and you angrily sell off all,  then in the future that same altcoin is worth some good money, you can only feel bad as you don't have just one left. Every piece of Bitcoin is important, if it was in your personal wallet. So the next thing that you should do is to collect all those pieces that you have left on different exchanges and transfer them back to your wallet.

I doubt you will be able to collect all of them as most will be swallowed by the exchanges in the form of withdrawal fee.

There will be perfect time to make it all worth for good mate, just stick with your decision and as per rating with your mindset I don't feel any silly on what you stand for. Sad to say I already cashed out my bitcoins last year, because of urgent needs for house project. What's left with me was those shitcoins that has fallen off it's good value since year 2017.
If I have choosen to sell my alts those times it was profitable maybe I've been benefited to hold huge amount of btc. Every now and then, I still waited for my altcoins to achieve the right value for them so I could sell them in exchange for bitcoin and hold them before hitting the peak price.

I still remember that good old days. We could easily get 1000- 2000 sat from the faucets and we never cared it could have any considerable value in future. Freebitco.in which is always been the highest paying faucet is giving only 24 Sat per hour these days. Again if bitcoin moves to 50,000$ in few years times, this 24 Sat would be a decent value. So i believe we should collect as much sat as we can and keep them save for the later years.

If  Gavin Andresen knew that the price of BTCitcoin will rise like this during 2010 he could have saved it for the future as he was giving away 5 BTC per clam   and no one cared anything below 0.1BTC in the past, but as the price of BTCitcoin started growing everyone started taking it seriously. You make sense, the idea of Bitcoin increasing in value is not impossible to happen.  And we should value our money and not waste it or neglect it even if it is just a cents.  Several people are working hard to earn a penny in most part of the world.  We are lucky we have that much, and our job pays us decent amount to sustain our family's needs.

I also tend to neglect dusts of Bitcoin before.  But when I happen to watch those people working whole day for the same amount I am neglecting, it do change my attitude towards money whether it is BTC or fiat currency.  Though I  give more value to BTC since it is like a seed that can grow to a very huge tree (price skyrocketing multiple times from its current value).

I was one of the users who actually received some BTC by just liking and reposting the tweets of a user here in the forum. I use to just get some of the BTC from them worth $5 for providing 2 sentence review for their youtube videos. Now I can see those tiny bits of BTC are so much valuable that users will scam you for such amount. I think the users during those days are more of a supporter of BTC and blockchain.

Absolutely! You are right. Even if it's a small amount if you save it in a long run it will have a great value and unlike fiat, bitcoin has a bigger value so you must keep every piece or even small amount of bitcoin that you have. That's what you need to practice in order for you to get a better profit. Every single bit is needed in order to make a whole and this applies to everything, including bitcoin. Back in 2015 when bitcoin was at its low after the 2013 ATH, I spent 0.1 BTCs like it was nothing on dice and casinos. Fast forward to 2019, that same 0.1 BTC is worth $830 at the time of this writing, which made me regret spending it out of curing my OCD in seeing extra digits on my wallet. Had I known that bitcoin would go on and rise towards the moon, I wouldn’t have been careless and actually tried to save those coins that I lost in gambling.

Well i think TradeSatoshi still gives out some faucets though i have not made any cash out yet to know how legit it is but i know it's going on. You can try it out and see how much it's going to be worth in the next few years.

Definitely, man. Back in the days when it was under $1000 we never tought $3000 was possible, but now look where we are. The 100th part of a bitcoin is worth over 100 bucks, how incredible is that and who knows what Bitcoin has in store for us in the future? 

Taking a bold prediction that Bitcoin price will reach $1M in the next 5-10 years that would be equal to 0.001 BTC=$1000. The potential is huge in Bitcoin and I'm talking about facts: the statistics show us that there are over 36 million millionaires in the world and Bitcoin has a limited supply of 21M units with 4M considered lost. Make the math and you'll quickly realise that if each one of the millionaires want 1 BTC, its price should be well beyond 1M

It makes me remember my encounter with btc during this last ATH, back in those days I did some transactions in perfect money using the btc payment option, so I had about $3-$4 worth of btc left,
I didn't feel the need to withdraw because it wasn't up to minimum withdrawal, but when btc hit ATH of $20k, I revisited my perfet money
 account and boy was I glad I came back , I couldn't believe the amount, it was amazing to see how my small btc has grown in price.

I have small pieces of bitcoin in a lot of exchanges too but the fees are to high to withdraw them and even if I deposit I would loose more than I deposit. My only option remain to use waves dex to deposit the supported coins from exchanges I have in order to buy waves/monero/dash and withdraw them to my waves dex wallet and then convert them back to bitcoin as there the fees are lower and  I could even sell them in USD or GBP/EURO.

Basically what are you saying is completely right , every piece of bitcoin counts and I'm sure there are a lot of users in our situation and some of them even forget they have small bitcoins on some exchanges.

Op, you are right to think that way.  I remember seeing a post a few years ago when I had first registered, and it showed how one of the first bitcoin faucets looked and what it was paying out.  Suffice to say if one were to have claimed from that faucet regularly back then, they'd be pretty wealthy today with bitcoin where it's at.  The takeaway message for me was to value those satoshis that one gets here and there, because you never know how much they're going to be worth years down the line.

I believe in this. I started earning bitcoin thru faucets. Before bitcoin's rise on 2017, I already got a few payouts from different faucets, and I truly value the amount I got there when bitcoin's price had increased. Even if I'm also doing other known ways of earning bitcoin, I still use faucets even if it pays less these days and even if it takes days for payouts. For me, even those tiny amount I got there is still worthy. Every satoshi is indeed worthy to save. Love how all these accounts talk about "back in the day" fighting about pennies worth of bitcoin, and then now scrambling for pennies worth of bitcoin with some account that started way back in the day. And then their last few days of posts are all about similar "back in the day" stories, but of course with the odd postbursting periods in random altcoin thread.

You are just overthinking it because I think you suffer a lot from the bearish trends last year. And now you want to take most of those satoshi that you left on the exchanges but it is not worth it to take them now since there are exchanges who do have a limit of minimum withdrawal per account.

It might not worth it to get it now but by the time each satoshi would worth a  thousand dollars we may be too old at that time where we forgot what exchanges we have been using.

I've been involved with bitcoin and crypto since the 2013 days. I basically had many many different exchange accounts, bitcoin wallets, pool accounts and such. If you were around in 2014 or so, back then there were no bitcoin backlogs and you never had to pay $50 just to get a single transaction confirmed. You just needed to use the default fee of 10,000 sats and it would get confirmed within the next block, even if you were cheap you could probably get it confirmed for 1 sat/byte which might of been a fraction of a penny.

Here is what I used to do. If I had like 1.00015000 BTC in some wallet.dat or some pool, due to laziness I would just withdraw the 1 BTC and leave the dust in there. At $150 a coin it was only like 2 pennies. And the way the old wallets worked, you had to manually subtract the fee or else it would fail, so due to my laziness I didn't want to load the calculator and I just withdrew 1 BTC. I probably had like 5-6 wallets like this.

When Q4 2017 came around, each dust payment was worth something. So instead of being worth 2 pennies it was worth ~$2-3 or so. So I would reload those all wallets, sync them up and send them to an exchange and sell them.

The best in my opinion was my old ETH pool accounts. I had something like 0.09 ETH and usually the min ETH withdraw was 0.10 ETH so I just left it there and switched to a different pool and when it hit $1400 that 0.09 ETH was worth over ~$100. Luckily the pool kept my old balance and didn't clear it after inactivity.

I've been there with faucets. I didn't have money so I started claiming faucets at first and they got me excited at first but then quickly got boring when I realized this is taking too much time. It took almost an hour to claim a single dollar at that time. I didn't think about future prices and now every dollar claimed from that faucet would be worth 8 or 9. 9 dollars per hour is still a bad wage but enough when you're broke and just need a few dollars to pay the bills.

I doubt if you can cash out a small amount of Bitcoin, it will just spend for your transaction fees unless Bitcoin reaches to 6 digits and the fee is much lower, but why to withdraw those amount, you can use it for transaction fee, or trade for altcoins with a lower transaction fee, I've been doing that and it's profitable, I even use that when I withdraw my earnings and my profit from trading on Yobit.

You did the same thing as I did last July. last July when bitcoin reached $ 12K, I reopened my account spread across several old exchanges and got (if I'm not mistaken) about 0.015 bitcoin from all exchanges that contained my old account. but here I am a little different from you, I do that when bitcoin reaches the highest price. maybe I will do that again when bitcoin touches its highest price again (my guess might be in 2020)

The chances of seeing Bitcoin ever reach $1 million are extremely slim---there is not enough demand for that to happen unless the dollar loses so much of its value that this black swan event can push Bitcoin to $1 million.

However, in that scenario it only means that your Bitcoin is worth $1 million, while the purchasing power is probably 5% of today's purchasing power, so you technically haven't gained anything.

To make things even worse, the dollar losing that much of its value will take the whole world economy down with it. No economy will be safe because everything is pegged to the dollar. Definitely something to keep in mind.

I don't have anything anywhere now, just got money in one coin and am broke haha so I have to wait now until I can make more money to actually collect and store BTC, as I used to in the olden days. This is a good idea as I once left some chicken change in my Xapo wallet. I was early 2016 when bitcoin price is somewhere around $400-$500. The first time I tested buying bitcoin using paypal with VirWox. I bought bitcoin for $100 and I have no idea where to spend my bitcoins until late 2016 when I know about purse.io. I spent $96 and left only $4 by the time bitcoin reached $17k-$18k in 2017 that $4 turned to $46. it is a good idea to maintain access to all your wallets.

This happened to me when I am in need of money, just like when I am in need to cash in then real world, I will look at all my pockets to see if theres any cash that I left behind. Same with my crypto wallets, I checked all of them and see if its still withdraw-able and still have enough to cover for the fees.

Not only in my crypto wallets, I also check those exchange sites that I used to trade but abandoned when I shift to a new exchange site that offers lower fees.

Buddy the point is that if you want to take out those pennies from the exchanges then you will need to depend a few dollars as the exchanges charge a constant fee of 0.001 btc to 0.003 btc varying exchange to exchange. So now it is best to keep those pennies resting in those exchanges until a new method of sending bitcoins is developed.

Actually, having one bitcoin nowadays is really hard. Before, it was too much cheap that you can buy thousands of btc for just a couple of dollars. Due to the large volume and great demand, bitcoin goes up and up everyday.
It is not also impossible to make a double price of bitcoin in the future. So, it is advise to save bitcoin right now and hold for a long term period.

For me it is not worth it the work and the time you put in this tiny bitcoin are not worth it , few bitcoin could have a double profit but imagine if you have a big investment comparing this investment. I think the time for long term investment is not worth it since if you inserted your effort in other things like doing a signature campaign it would be more profitable compare to other.

Tiny piece of bitcoin can be earned out of different ways. If you find it to be worth, then it is worth a big thing. As mentioned every wallet that we use has got little residue, if those were send to a single wallet we'll get a number which will be truly valuable. Well, you're right, but there might not be any chance as of then. Back in 2015 I had about $15 in Bitcoin and the price of Bitcoin was $250 or so, and I got tired because I felt it's really going nowhere, so I sold the whole of $15. After a while, my friend came for a visit and told me that the price of Bitcoin is already at $1,500 and I was freaked out.

Before I knew what was happening the price has gotten to $2000 plus! That's when I knew this was no joke and I started investing quickly, I was quite lucky that I had some money read for the bull. But imagine that I didn't sell that $15 when the price was around that $250 and maybe I Hodl it till the price was almost $20,000, I think I will have about $10,000 to $15,000 free money lol.

Exactly this is what I'm doing, I personally have access to my wallet and exchange which I created in the past and have some balance out there unfortunately I can't withdraw them since nowadays many exchanges need their users to do some verification which I won't.

I'd recommend converting the coins into the cheaper coin, for example, Doge in order to avoid the highest fee then collecting those coins into one account and convert them back.

yes you have to see and check every satoshi bitcoin that is in exchange because even if a little but in exchange for fiat money the amount is pretty good. I suggest you better collect all the scattered bitcoins into one exchange. choose an exchange that has a good reputation. and to reduce the transfer fee you can change your bitcoin to altcoin. and I think turning it into litecoin is the right choice because usually the transaction is low and the value of the movement follows bitcoin.

I've been checking the BTC donors here in the forum. I wonder who's going to be next to invest so much. Imagine that you didn't mind spending a few quarters in BTC back in the day and that's how you let it lay down like a stray cat and when you came back to see that cat, it's a tiger now. This just made me buy a little more bitcoin hahahah

Back in the days i used to disregard some pennies of my bitcoins in several exchanges thinking that these coins would never be worth it looking at its price at the moment. However, this idea came into my mind about some few weeks ago that what if Bitcoin reaches a double of its previous all time or even greater once this long awaited global adoption sets in.

Seriously this made me think twice and have made me roam through all my exchange accounts and wallets making sure that i have access to them in order to cash out all those pieces of bitcoin if they ever become worth it again. This may sound quite silly but i am quite optimistic about it

yes you have to see and check every satoshi bitcoin that is in exchange because even if a little but in exchange for fiat money the amount is pretty good. I suggest you better collect all the scattered bitcoins into one exchange. choose an exchange that has a good reputation. and to reduce the transfer fee you can change your bitcoin to altcoin. and I think turning it into litecoin is the right choice because usually the transaction is low and the value of the movement follows bitcoin.

I agree,  every single piece of bitcoin is worth it.  Maybe it seems useless when the value of it is low but if you will think on the other side.  A huge amount of bitcoin will not going to happen if there is no single pice of it right?  It is really better to collect all tiny piece of it into one exchange.

Tiny piece of bitcoin will became an decent amount if you collect it gradually and indeed nothing wrong if we check every exchange that we used to ensure there was small amount of bitcoin left in it and your idea seems inspiring me to do the same thing because i think i have several satoshi on the exchanges which is i used and will check them immediatelly

It is true that every bit of Bitcoin (Satoshi) is valuable and I agree with you that it will have a decent amount if it will be collected as one. I guess all of is was inspired by this post and it serves as wale-up call to everyone to never take for granted whether it is a Bitcoin, Fiat or even our food. Never waste it.

Every piece of bitcoin is valuable even if it is 0.0001 only. Remember, if the price of it pumps up to 100%, your current bitcoin price will be doubled for sure. So do not just dump your bitcoin if the total price of it is low. Sooner or later it will rise up and might help you to your financial needs.

Every bitcoin has millions of satoshi inside it. Buying 1 complete Bitcoin is not in everyone range including me these days. That’s why I have set my target of acquiring 0.1 bitocin before I can HODL. If bitcoin reaches some very high value in future like $50k or $100k then it will be worthy to have 0.1 bitcoin.

I never leave my penny satoshi in any centralized exchange. I keep them in my private wallet I have access to the private keys. Bitcoin is going to take majority of its traders by surprise and some exchanges may just go down.

I am also thinking of all my bitcoins back then, it is really worth it and not only double the price now but triple, I remember when the time that the price of bitcoin is just worth $2300 and I thougt thats already a good time to sell which is not. LOL. I lost a lot of my bitcoin.
