Hello all,

I'm the Community Manager for Spatium, and I'm here to spread the word about our new software wallet, which is currently in Beta.

We do have a White Paper for those who would like to know more, but there is also our first Medium article for a quicker introduction.

In short, the Spatium wallet seeks to offer the convenience of a single software wallet for multiple currencies, with the security offered by hardware wallets. We do this by eliminating the need for a private key. Not like in centralized exchanges, where there is a private key which is in the hands of the exchange. Spatium does not hold a private key for your wallet. Instead, when a wallet is created with Spatium you must attach it to two or more devices (any device with an Android, iOS, Windows or UNIX operating system) with the Spatium wallet app. Your two or more devices create transactions in collaboration, such that none of the devices ever hold a complete private key, or enough information to create it. If your devices do not agree on a transaction (If one of your devices has been compromised, let's say), it fails to execute. Like a hardware wallet, this means that your funds are safe even if your computer becomes thoroughly compromised. Unlike a hardware wallet, you can access your wallet whenever and wherever you want, without sacrificing security. For an attacker to steal your funds, they must compromise all of your devices simultaneously.

If you are interested in checking out the Beta version of the wallet, you can sign up through the link in our Medium article.

I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. My introduction to the project is brief, but if this sounds interesting to you I urge you to check out the Medium article. There are more to come in the next few days and weeks, which will go into greater detail about different aspects of the wallet's features and inner workings, as well as introducing the team. If you want more information before then, the white paper goes through everything we will be covering. In the Medium article you will also find a link to our Telegram channel, where you can talk to me or the team directly.

Private keys slow down the mass adoption of the crypto industry. They are not easy to manage, they do not support the access differentiation, and the most important — they are the single point of failure in the security.

Read our in-depth review of why private keys should be replaced with better security solutions.

With this material we start the series of articles about security issues in the crypto industry and how Spatium solves them with their hack-proof elegant solution.

Hi, all. We want to share with you the important update: we added the support of ERC-20 tokens and are testing them thoroughly. Now you can swipe between Ethereum cards to see ERC-20 tokens that you have previously linked to your ETH-address.

Our next article from the "Spatium Vision" series is on the way. Meanwhile, read our previous material - in-depth research of why we should eliminate private keys from security systems and switch to more secure, convenient and flexible solutions http://bit.ly/2IR5xq3

Stay tuned.

1. How will your wallet handle the loss of one of the devices? It's quite common for people to lose their phones or have their hard drives suddenly break, is it possible to make physical backups of all the secrets necessary to restore the funds?

2. Malware that steals Bitcoin by scanning for wallet.dat files is not very common, most of the cases of people losing money are due to installing fake wallets or having address replacement malware. How will your wallet handle those attacks?
