Its a good way to prevent sybil attacks and let the network grow slowly. Senior participants have only 1 invite per round, and some of the invites you give are not validated. So we are growing super slowly.
Overall the system is quite nice. And is something new! i'm so bored of the same ideas again and again in the crypto - altcoin space.

In fact there is one person who invites more than 1 person per validation. Only during this epoch he received reward for 12 successful invitations.

Don't you think that 36 million coins from premint is enough? Could dev team let this network grow organic? 12k coins out of 41 472 (51 840 * 5 * 0,16) that was intended for rewards for successful invitations. That's 30% for dev member who give invitation code for everyone who ask on telegram. He does not even care to who he throws them because he has no limits. I have to examine every person to make sure he will not waste my invitation because i have only 1. If you think that network will grow too slow than give us 2 invitations per epoch instead of letting one person grab 30% of rewards.

Rhythm of growing is not that slow. We can observe ~10% network grow every epoch on average taking last 6 epoch into consideration.
I can invite every epoch too (as everybody) but most of my invites was wasted (2/6 succeed)

That's what scares me the most about IDENA.

1- 36 milion premine. (82% of all coins in hands of team now)
2- 12K coins from invitations
3- 5% of all new emitted coins goes to the team ~ 13k coins each epoch


12k+13k=25k coins each epoch goes to the team. Thats ~10%
I wonder how many potential new miners or old miners quit after seeing how insignificant their stack is in comparison to the team stack (82% of total supply).

It will be a hard fork. The miner status for all validated nodes will be deactivated.
Please be ready for an update.

Planned changes:
1. Invitation rewards will be paid during 3 epochs in a row proportionally to the invited person's age. The invitation rewards fund will be distributed as follows (starting with the next epoch):
- A reward for the second validation of an invitee is 3 times bigger than a reward for a validated Candidate.
- A reward for a Verified invitee is 6 times bigger than a reward for a validated Candidate.
Invitation rewards will be paid only if the invitation issuer is validated.

2. The validation date will be adjusted to Saturdays once the network reaches 9441 identities. The total epoch duration is limited to 91 days.

4. API-key parameter is required for the remote node.

Anything is worth something if someone else is willing to pay for it. Currently on OTC Chanel on discord there are buy offers 50-100 sat per DNA. So it is worth something.

Well, network lost 10 participants this week and I can tell you why exactly it had happened.
Two minutes prior to validation, node disconnected and went out of sync.
Synchronisation finalised exactly the moment short session ended.    that's it.
Strange coincidence that had nothing to do with internet connection itself, as it was working fine.

Not sure I'm interested in further mining, especially that I was suspended anyway.

If anyone would like to buy some 13.5K idena from me, let me know.

Well after 8/8 successful validations i have some insights that would be worth discussing.
1- add an option that will allow cropping graphics from google - sometimes only part photo is useful in flip. It will make creating quality flips much easier.
2- 2 min is sometimes not enough. In fact after 8 validations I've never had 2 min. 1 min 4* sec that's my time since validation loads for 10-20 seconds. I think that 3 min will still not be enough to validate more than 1 account constantly (maybe once per 5 validations having 10 easy flips and this will not increase amount of validated accounts (3 successful validation before dead from 2 wrong)).
3- Big issue in my opinion are wasted invitations. I've sent 5 of them and only 1 succeed. I always send them before short interview (Do you have your node synchronized. Will you take part in validation. Do you know when it is. etc.). How about my invited user miss validation the invitation will come back so I could use it to invite 2 users for next epoch?

Most people, including me can validate 2 nodes easily already, more time and I will have time for 3. I agree that the team should burn his premine down to 10-20% they even get rewards from the network for funding, it is only affecting future value IMO as people will never buy if the team can dump and drag the price to 0 at any moment, especialy if they are anonymous the risk is even higher. Because when you read the website they talk about a few whales owning all the coins with ethereum and bitcoin etc. and how Idena is different but this is exactly the same, even worse. After like 10 years their premine will still be 50% of the supply... I think it's better to have only 10% and real value and growth potential than all the cake worth nothing because the market is smarter now and nobody will buy this if they know how huge is the pre-mine. It is also impacting the rate of the network growth as a lot of people don't even care about the free coins when they see this.

I can do that too. If i get easy flips I'm done after 40 seconds but most often i get 1-2 dump flips on which i spend 1 min thinking about the story that is not there or thinking about which story will be chosen by network because both are possible. In most cases those flips do not reach consensus but sometimes consensus is made by 4 users and for such small group everything is possible. Having this extra time allows me to validate every time which won't be possible trying to validate 2 nodes. So I do agree that it is possible to validate 2 nodes in 2 min but not with 100% accurate. After 1-2 validation you will get dump flip and both accounts will be suspended. Then your next validation will look like poptok1's and your node and your stack will be gone.

I agree that dev team should distribute or lock part of premine, and there should be some voting for this,
but we are still early and not yet ready for mainnet and wide adoption for more people.
There are still bugs that are solved all the time, but there is potential for real use cases and not just some fantasy story that most shitcoins have

I just visited the idena website then downloaded the wallet and the node too. The synchronization process which I initially thought took a long time was very fast, maybe with the help of the node that I downloaded earlier. This project is very good for 2020 because the unique validation process plus this is very different from other altcoins.

Just got an invite code, download the software fully synched it and now I am on a candidate status next validation will happen 1/2/2020 9:30 pm on my computer I have no idea how this flip will be complete because there are no videos I just know I have to finish this in two minutes.
Questions: Any videos about flipping there are no videos on English about this, and how many coins can I earn if I have computer mining in 8 hours daily.
