As of this time its being sold via discord OTC for 165sats upto 250 sats. Is it worth it? Mining it will cost almost NOTHING since you can easily run the wallet in background while you are watching youtube or browsing your facebook account and then turn it off when done.

Its a good start to create a market for the coin and to spread awareness about the project. Since there are still many scammers lurking in this forum its always best to pay a little extra % for escrow for the safety of both parties.

Yes, actually trading in trading is very much needed for now, considering that the attraction of IDENA has become more extraordinary. Someone wants to buy but sometimes there is no escrow who takes care of it, if not in the presence of escrow fear of fraud. Maybe with a single thread here and if there is an escrow who has quality experience can help idena buying and selling transactions here.

Every time you enter a password in "Settings" to export privkey you get a new private key.
This means that your password doesn't mean anything, because anyone can set a different password and gain access to the wallet.

This feature is made to encrypt your priv key with your passowrd and random data (salt) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt_(cryptography). Its made to help you protect your priv key not to lock your wallet.

Yea ok so this is a very simple ways of joining the crypto mining community, for a noob. At least the requirements are quite minimal but then, I hope the returns are worth it?

Its around 2000 coins per epoch (6 days of mining, validation, 3 flips, 1 succesfull invitation) worth ~30$ at current OTC price (~0,015$). In my opinion it's worth to mine IDENA even if all you want to do is to dump it right after you mine it, but i think that it's too good project to sell it now. My target is around 0.3-1$ per DNA.

In every cryptocurrency project this is the risk that everyone have to take. I am supporting the idea behind this project and about the devs not being responsive, last week before validation 3 node updates has been posted and fix is being provided every week for all those bugs encountered by the community.

But one thing is for sure, This is 100% better project compare to other money grab ICO token project that being launch by the hundreds everyday.
 

Think twice before investing in it!

I only invest 5-10 minutes once every 6 days solving flips and those time investment is nothing compare to the potential of the project.

For me this coin has the potential to become adopted worldwide as a real cryptocurrency (not as a speculation object),
because the only thing you need to mine is a standard computer/laptop (later mobile as described in the white-papers) and a working internet-connection.
And the investment done by every identity is the same for every identity (node). You have to spend about 30 - 60 minutes to make the flips and do the validation each epoch (act. 6 days) plus the power you need to run the system is what makes the value.  

Every coin has the potential for that, but to this very day 99.9% of coins become nothing more than a speculation object.

Think about this properly. If you have no way or desire to use something so different in your daily life, why would you use it? There are hundred of identity apps already on blockchain and they did not become popular. Why this?

Ok ... if it is not written anywhere that it is a testnet and we are mining test tokens than how is it possible that "They promised to launch the main network in two months".

mainnet launch was most probably postponed because node or client are not yet as stable as it would be needed for mainnet and maybe there are breaking changes to come (for the chain) and then it's better to still make that in testnet

As a dev i would not try to rob my first adopters from testnet coins only to decrease supply by 30%. well we can alwais fork this coin if dev will decide to zero all balances while going to mainnet

There was no ICO. Team is working on code for half year without even a single $ earned. I think that they deserve a little trust especially if robbing first adopters will not bring them anything except counter-advertising and lack of trust for devs in future project development.

About penalties - you can always turn-off mining while you are sleeping or not able to look after your node. I'm here for 15 epochs. Mining penalties was never a problem for me. 44% of all new coins comes from validations and invitations, so you will not loose much turning your node off for few hours daily.

I don't know how did it happen but I got a penalty again and it's 21 DNA, I'm checking my peers and it always online although it is syncing from time to time but it never reaches 30 minutes that it's syncing, yesterday we have a new node update I hope this new update will prevent our nodes to go offline, I am still looking for a week that I don't have penalty, it's been two weeks like this.
