Dear Idena community,

We plan to release a new version of the Idena node on May 12, 2022. It will be a hard fork update.

Please check the upcoming changes:

Quadratic staking is live. We can now stake up to 1 mln IDENA per 1 node. System promotes small players so the more you stake the lesser the reward is but even for big numbers (1 mln IDENA) its close 30% so far. Because i think this number will reduce after we will be closer to validation.

There is a new version of the Idena Desktop App available: 0.31.0

Changes:

1. Support quadratic staking
- Stake replenishment
- Show APY for stake
- Show staking rewards in the validation report

2. Reporting improvements
- Allow "Approve/Report" votes to be reset during validation
- Show the number flips for which user abstained before submitting the answers

3. Bug fixes
- New Oracle voting form bug fix
- Sign raw transactions bug fix (dna://raw)
- Translation bug fix

Its worth to add that the only way to take out stake token is to kill identity. So its not the best idea to stake on old nodes that you don't want to kill if price pump x5.

So far 1.5M idenas were locked in staking (~2.5%). Not so good to be honest. I was expecting more.

the price is cheap right now because people don't have a reason to hold IDENA itself, just waiting for their ad network to launch maybe people will take IDENA because they have a reason to use it not just to get and then sell it because free money through validation or mining

hope IDENA development fits the roadmap and increases idena price goes to $1, i still hold it in my wallet when people throw it cheap

What was the reason for holding cardano from 2017 to 2022? It was just a promise of product back than. Right after delivering product in 09.2021 it reach ATH and dumped 85%.

What is the reason to hold bitcoin? Does it have ad network or any place to use?

at least maybe some people have bought something using bitcoin and IDENA hasn't been used for anything and people want to buy it, I think if the idena ad network uses idena payments for people to put ads on the IDENA network where real people are there, I think it will looks cool

Yea for sure bitcoin is evaluated at 500T becasuse "some people have bought something using bitcoin" when in fact fiats were cheaper and faster Bitcoin is pumping for last 10 years because one day it may be ..... and people buy now to front run everyone else.

And thats why price should go up here as well. Because you buy now to earn in future when use case will come dumping on people who did not know about it before. So price should go up now ... it does not Idena is in 1.5 year bear market when whole crypto seams to just enter it.

It's been over a year since I last join Idena and there have been so many changes, the price is low and this is the best time for accumulation for a promising and well-established coin like Idena, I'm looking forward to coming back again but I need to read more information now as there are many changes already like the asking for codes, congrats to the community for the progress and keeping this project moving.

Nah. Only new people wanted to join idena network needs invitation. Its not hard to get though just ask on telegram. Its a mechanism that protect against a situation in which 1 person creates 1 mln new indentities and go random during validation with all of them validating 30% of them. 30% out of successed nodes pass next validation and 30% of them after another one. That way 3% of 1 mln nodes get through validaion = 30k new veryfied nodes that are not real humans with unlocked stake. Invitations protect against that.

Are serious about it? I once followed this, and it required an invite code every time a validation event. Has it changed?
This means that if someone has received an invitation code for validation, then for the next validation event it doesn't require an invitation code, is that what you mean? I'm a little clueless, maybe you can help explain more fully for me

If you fail your validation and your identity is killed than you will need invitation for next validation. But if you success you validation, your status is newbie, verisied or human  you don't need invitation anymore. In fact you can create invitations for your friends to join network. It was always like that. Nothing changed in this matter for 2.5 year.

Well, here is something unlogical to me.
On one default node-x, one of the flips is reported and there is no validation point for all. This is the okay and understandable rule. But why were punished and all others who only delegated their staking to that node-x?
really frustrating.

Well, here is something unlogical to me.
On one default node-x, one of the flips is reported and there is no validation point for all. This is the okay and understandable rule. But why were punished and all others who only delegated their staking to that node-x?
really frustrating.

Means that if any of nodes that delegated mining to main node did poor flip none of them get validation rewards? is that what you mean?
