Why do people easily get scammed on the internet?

Maybe you can add, lack of knowledge about technology. Most people has the money to invest but lacks knowledge on what and where they are going to be involved to. Not understanding the whole scope of the project, the purpose and it's potential. Also, you can add greed, most investors aim for profit, that is why scam developers create a project that shows a good profit acheme to attract greedy investors.

One factors could also be an impact is that lack of experience. Knowledge do important to avoid this scheme but experience as well. Ignorance, greed could also be a factors. In order to avoid to be scammed, don't go for a transaction without having any idea regard this. It is better to consult to a person who have experienced or ask some advice to a forum.

Lack of experience is a factor, people are easily attracted to high returns in just short time period and it is one of the reason why they got easily scammed by other people. Having enough experience and knowledge can help us to avoid to get scammed.

No, not lack of experience but greed. Lack of experience should refrain people from deciding immediately. When you do not know something, what will you do? It is to avoid giving a commitment or making a rush decision. But the story is different when money or the promise of a big profit is offered. When someone is offered a big profit even if he does not know what it truly is, he might jump right into it then and there. It is not lack of experience that pushes him into becoming a victim, it is greed.  

Indeed. Other people just decide immediately that they just follow other people decisions on where they invest their money, which is not a good way to make decisions because it is the reason why people easily get scammed without knowing and checking everything about the project or in a site.

I think people have became lazier. They want everything to happen over internet. People are used to home delivering food and clothes and they also want to deliver success.
People are looking for ways to double their money. They can't wait long to see their money rise. They'd rather lose it all then wait a long time for it to grow.
Many people involved in online scams do know they risk their money being involved. It's not a difficult task to realize there are no prince in Nigeria, yet we can't resist sending him a $100 so that he could send us a chest full of gold.

Hehehehehe a chest of gold got me rolling 🤣, it saddens me hpw multiple times different people frm different zones falls for this scams and yetit keeps repeating it self as if there is something else behind it, it really saddens my heart to see this things happening over and over again

it is not just about being greedy, it is mostly due to pump and dumps.
in other words everyone is greedy to some extent but when people look at the altcoin market and see a lot of pumps are taking place they become more confident that their assumptions for big profit is possible so they jump in to get involved faster and start making profit but of course the pumps can't last forever and these people always end up experiencing the other side of it meaning the dumps and end up losing money.
all of these are scams not because people lost money but because they were created to be pumped and dumped.

So that to say is why I blame most folks for not making their findings into what they invest in, more reason to call it lazy, you can't put your money 💵 into what you have little or no idea about, how on earth can you maximize profit, but once you understand the process, you are luckly to join the train and be in the pumps not dump

How do people get involved, how easily are people scammed and reasons?

Many individuals think of the internet as a get rich quick scheme and once they are exposed to any form of investment promising high ROI, witjout a second taught they jump onto it, you and I as well know how this will end? In a nutshell, GREED is a factor

Secondly the inability to conduct research and make real findings on our own. All this as a result of laziness.

Well, the worst thing that you can do when starting up your involvement in crypto space is, entering without knowing anything. it's like going into a war without having any weapons with you., and its like digging up your own tomb. For you to be able to manage and survive, you need to be open with continuous  learning and research everything regarding cryptocurrency, trading. mining. investing and such so you won't end up losing all your assets because you got scammed. It's also essential reading threads about scam experiences of others so you could learn from their mistakes.

Fairly said, I believe also that the best teacher one can also have is experience, when you tell folks about most of the risks involved in investing in cryptocurrencies, they wouldn't believe yet they will be able to understand if they face the music and dance to it's tune themselves

You are right . I am strongly agree that too much greed is not good in this industry because all you want is to earn more without considering if the offer is possible or realistic.  You need to be knowledgable about crypto and crypto activity to avoid being scam. There are lot and increasing number of scam and fraud case and issues now and I think this are the two reason why it happened, being greed and lack of knowledge.

They use phishing websites and enter their details there without knowing it is a fake website. They do it on social media platforms to trick people. They just share the link of fake website with a good picture to make people believe. When you enter your info, gone. Those assets or money will never come back to you.

The most common reason people get scammed is because they invest their money in pyramid schemes, and then believe that their money will be doubled and returned back to them. While greed is often the main reason I feel lack of knowledge, and certain circumstances like urgent need of money also lead people into getting scammed.

There are too many scam projects right now, even some which look good from the outside are high grade scam projects. Most will want to take advantage of the greed of crypto enthusiasts especially by giving huge bonuses or making promises of big ROI. Let's just be extremely careful when making investment decisions, do not invest because others are investing and also do not invest what you can't afford to lose.

Don't invest in those you don't even know who they are and what their true purpose is? Are they recognized, have a famous partner? Projects that show teamwork activities will not necessarily succeed or end well.

I think most people got scammed because they lack knowledge or new to crypto, they don't know anything so if someone offers them to invest to double their money they would immediately grab it then repent later that their decision is wrong.

I think that makes a lot of people trapped into being scammed on the internet because of the desire that is too big to get rich quick. Who doesn't want a very small capital to get rich in a very short time? this might always be the beginning of being trapped into the deception. I have seen cases of fake crypto, scam exchanges or fake ICOs. People easily get fooled by these because crypto needs technical knowledge too to understand it. Well.. that is true. I am someone who got scammed multiple times during the past few years. Everyone is looking for easy profits without much effort. And the problem is that there is no shortcut for getting rich. And when you try the available shortcuts, we end up losing money. It happens to a lot of people and there is nothing to be ashamed of it. But the important thing is not to repeat the same mistakes again and again.

Poverty, laziness and greed is the main thing that I would think usually make people get scammed in the cryptocurrency market, because it is an extremely poor person that will not be patient to study the market carefully before actually thinking of making investment because they want a very fast way of making return, so they don’t make a good decision through research but just by instinct.

Like you also said, greed is one of the thing that usually destroy lots of people in this aspect also, many people are so greedy that they want to put tiny money and get very large amount of money, which is why you see that scammers are actually using this weakness against them, they promise to turn their very little amount of money to big one which eventually gets to the investor to rush into making investment.
