You know little about trademark infringement.

We are now contacting godaddy with an official C&D.

Haha. What are you talking about? You've already admitted that a) you hadn't publicly announced your coin b) you've got workshops coming up, but haven't had any yet c) you have journalists on standby, but again, they haven't actually done anything yet.

In other words, you've done nothing in the public domain, therefore there's no trademark infringement here, unless you've registered the mark, which you haven't.

Good luck with that C&D buddy!

Guys! This is a scam coin!

A real team have been developing UK Coin here: http://uk-coin.org/

The real team is Dave (Dev), Aid (Support) and Sara (Social Media).

More details soon.

So quick to call another coin a scam when they beat you to the punch?

Sounds like a very trustworthy person.

Hey guys, I want to thank those who have been supportive of this coin. A lot of people like to jump into forums and claim pump and dump coins and scam coins. It's very hard to prove that coins aren't scams. There are coins out there that got their start and they had nothing to back the community with but still made it. This is what we want. It's hard making a coin only for people not to back it because of some rumor. We want success just as much as you do, but our success is not in making money, it is in providing a currency for all.

We want as much support as we can get, and it is nearly impossible to prove that we are not a scam coin. We are getting NOTHING out of this.
So for it to be a scam coin, we would just be wasting our time.

But thanks to the people helping out.

More pools to come.

We have sent GoDaddy an email showing them the trace we did and the evidence we have to prove you are effectively scamming people. Screenshots and everything.

Here's our thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=519925.0

If a senior mod wants to contact us and verify who we are, we are fine to do that. We will provide real names, addresses and telephone numbers unlike you.

You hide behind a username and probably a fake IP (proxy) unlike us.

Tomorrow we will be contacting your hosting with the same info we sent to GoDaddy.

You are a scammer running a pump and dump scheme.

Our argument is based on "common law for passing off or misrepresentation".

We will fight you tooth and nail. We have invested too much time and effort not to fight. Tomorrow we will seek further legal advice.

There's a valuable business lesson in this thread.

I feel like this is the Winklevoss twins claiming they invented facebook. A judge says.... so?

I don't see the comparison. This person has been exposed. We identified all the coins on his server. He's clearly running a pump and dump scheme which can financially affect people. This is done out of sheer greed and dishonesty. Do you really think he intends to give the UK population coins? This is immoral!

This is not the same as the  Winklevoss twins and FB.

Actually it is.

You are just mad because we executed the plan before you did. You are late. If anyone is the scammer, it is you. Claiming to be the UK coin when we were here first. Go somewhere else slandering someones name. You can report us all you want but there is no proof we are here to scam. Only someone who is mad that they aren't making money would go about this the same way you are.

This is what he states in the thread title.

We have argued with GoDaddy this is deceptive and dishonest. What he's doing is nothing to do with financial freedom for UK citizens, he will try to get it on exchanges and then sell as much as he can driving down the price which could financially affect people.

This is dishonest and immoral. We're pretty sure GoDaddy will act on grounds of ethics.

You are claiming this is what we are doing. Our title is nothing more than a slogan for our coin. You can say that KFC chicken isnt always fingerlickin good, and then say that is a lie but that is their slogan. It helps draw in the crowd. You are just trying to defend something that isn't yours. Contacting GoDaddy.com doesn't make you any more right than a guy who slips on a floor in a restaurant even though there is a wet sign. You just want justice for nothing and it's not going to happen.

Backtracking already.

The title is dishonest and totally untrue. The screenshot has been sent to GoDaddy. You are scamming people. Like with the rest of the coins you have yet to release on your server.

I've already explained why that argument doesn't work. Your mark would have to already have a public presence for there to be any chance of confusing the two marks. Your mark has zero public presence; it wasn't even announced.

There is 0% chance of a legal ruling in your favour.

It doesn't matter how much work you've put in. There would actually be more chance of YOUR mark infringing on UKC's, since they announced publicly first (even though that wouldn't fly either).

We don't believe that is the case because we believe what he's doing is potentially fraudulent.

What's fraudulent about it? A slightly exaggerated tagline about "financial freedom"? That's not fraudulent at all. It's an exaggeration, sure, but you can argue that any decentralised currency offers an increase in financial freedom compared to fiat currencies. It's just a tagline.

It's all a pack of lies to support a pump and dump scheme.

Like the nonsense below.

He's got numerous other coins doing exactly the same thing!

We've already listed the coins. It's one big scam. People will get screwed over by him.

And we have no problem in taking legal action against them to protect all the effort we have put in the Official UK Coin.
How is your coin 'official', you are backed by the UK government?

The Official UK Coin have workshops planned at the end of March in Worcester and Birmingham.
You mean you've already begun pushing the brand before you launched the coin and now someone else has claimed it first you will now have to spend time and effort re-branding.
Just unlucky I'm afraid Sad England coin would be just as good with the St. George cross as the logo. You would more easily win over the football fans.

I'm now contacting the mods and will ask them to remove this as we are prepared to fight legally, tooth-and-nail, to protect our brand and the value we will bring to the community.
You've no chance mate.

We'll let you know the outcome from GoDaddy. We believe we have a valid case. This scammer will screw over as many people as possible.
