The newbie’s ballad

Last night I was working for my 10th anniversary art contest design. If some of you did not hear about it yet, one of the forum’s admins, theymos, is organizing an art contest. I always considered that words are a form of an art, too. So I paused my drawing and composed what I like to call “The newbie’s ballad”.

I wanted like two years ago
About Bitcoin something to know.
And soon, after an evening walk
I signed-up right on Bitcoin Talk.

I learned a lot from people here,
And own them all at least a beer.
Bounties became my full time job,
I wasn't anymore a slob.

I was a NEWBIE, very small,
Now I'm a MEMBER ... thin and tall.
When working hard you can, from zero
To be one day a super HERO.

It's been 10 years, the time has flown,
With you together all we grown.
A few more words I want to say:
Thank you for all and Happy Birthday!

I think it's nice. And I agree with the part that the words are considered an art form. If songs and music are considered an art, why wouldn't this be? I would definitely suggest you to post it on the anniversary contest. I checked a few pages but I think I did not see your post. (I was honestly going to merit.) So I am giving merit to this post instead.

That's inspirational. I was here even before you but still a Newbie because haven.t been posting much. One day i will be a member too.

I always considered that words are a form of an art,

Words are not considered art except when you hear them, your song sounds good but you need someone to choose the right melody and choose the right singer.
If your voice is attractive, you need some music and you'll come to mind and you might win the prize.
Songs are faster to spread and easier to understand.

Nice concept and I think it's actually great you're trying something different and you also did it well. Your poem/song makes so much sense as it incorporates forum terms and language.

It is wonderful indeed that the community is joining hands together to celebrate this forum, and indeed no one can object to the fact that we indeed need to mark the anniversary of this great forum.
