Hi,

I'm opening this thread to see if anybody is interested in funding my project.
Developers who want to aid are also welcome.
I'm planning to start a multiplayer website where people can compete in small competitive games to win bitcoins.
By now this is a 2 man project but i'd like to involve new people. active or passive, if you have an idea just reach out to me.
The websites will host small and fast paced games and has to be a fast & playful  way for new people to experiment with bitcoin.

The plans until now:
I have contacted a programmer, we discussed the project and we agreed to start with the bitcoin platform first before thinking about the gaming platform, i will fund this part myself entirely.
Once the bitcoin transaction platform has been tested and confirmed that it's working we continue on the gaming platform.
completion of the BTC platform will take 1 month minimum.
completion of the complete website will take 4 months minimum.

What happens when the project fails?
In case i have to make the decision to abandon the project I will try to sell the bitcoin transaction platform which i funded myself to repay the funds you've invested.

How much interest will i get?
I am planning to get loans from several people and offer shares of the income the website will generate, then eventually i will buy back the shares.  So I will pay back the entire investment and you get dividends until i buy back your shares.
If you want you will also be invited to the closed beta testing to see the developments of your investment.

how much do you need?
Total cost price of the website is estimated 16000 €.

why should i trust you
No need to trust me now, this is just an informative thread, if you are interested to follow the developments give me you email and i will inform you on what's happening with the Bitcoin transaction platform.

If you need extra info you can always PM me or shoot any question you have in this thread.
I know this thread is missing alot of details but i'm a little bit skeptic unfolding the backbones of my project on the web.
Personal messages will be answered with more detail if you have a good rep.
If you want to be a moderator, report many posts with accuracy. You will be noticed.

Is calling them "fun little games" a sneaky way of getting the community to fund your own Bitcoin casino? If not, can you please elaborate.

Thanks,

First game we'll build is battleships.  This is how the website will come online.  Future games will all be family styled non-gamble games.
chess, monopoly, bejeweled etc any game that is strategic is a potential option. games that hold no strategy at all don't have any chance. This is not going to be a gamble site.

We are planning to use 2 servers, one very secure for the bitcoin platform and one open-source for the gaming platform.
The entire gaming platform will be open source to prove honesty so you can confirm you're not playing against an AI.
We've been brainstorming about how to do the matchmaking and make the website as honest & competitive as possible, many ideas have risen but this will be tuned alot during beta testing.  An honest competitiveness of the games is very important though.

other features are
-chatbox
-leaderboards
-recent games
-open stats
-email or SMS mTAN verification.
-limits for losing players
-automated withdrawals for idle players or players offline for over 2hours
-direct disbursement of income
-facebook, twitter, google+ integration
-mobile versions

plans for website income is 2% of the losing player.  So 1% per game.

player 1 & 2 bet 1 BTC
player 1 wins 1,98 BTC
player 2 loses 0 BTC
server gets 0,02 BTC

extra game modes have been discussed where players can bail out in case of bad luck so you're not always looking at a total loss.  These game modes though have been considered non-prioritory.  It's gonna cost enough to get the basics running.

The biggest challenge we're looking into is server errors and idle/stuck games and how to prevent exploits in this.  Exactly this is why the development of the gaming platform will take 3 months longer than the bitcoin platform.  Alot of potential pitfalls have risen during meetings with the developer.

I hoped this answered your questions.

couple of days ago, the exactly same idea comes to me, i was thinking that make games like flappybird into a multiplayer game, and people bet bitcoins before play , the bet can be how far he can go or how long he can stand. you can bet just a very small amount of bitcoins, but as many people joins, the winner may earn pretty much. it just might be fun to add a little bit gambling into such games.

Playing games to win money from the other player is the definition of gambling. It might not be the same games you would play in a casino, but it is still gambling and you will have to make sure you do not run afoul of internet gambling laws in places like the US.

You might want to get in touch with the people at the Ministry of Games, maybe they would add funding to something like this?

Cool idea.
I was trying to get my son to explain why minecraft was so fun (unsuccessfully), and then thought about a way to build a mass pay-to-play user challenge system using a custom hack of minecraft worlds to find a treasures.
Looks like you've done this on your own, best of luck!
