Sorry for the Xpost (HF-Tool thread), but the latest cgminer supports: - Hashfast voltage support for Yoli/Habanero/Bitcrane etc. boards (see ASIC-README) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.msg9431142#msg9431142Built it and it's looking good so far!

Hi All, thanks to Newar and his help we were able to turn the ASIC 1 off Now I have different issue Day 1 : 800Mhz - 101C Day 2 : 700Mhz - 103C Day 3 : 500Mhz - 103C Day 4 : 400Mhz - 103C Ambient temperature is 21 C and less. Would anyone have an idea what is going on ?

Would anyone have an idea what is going on ? This is just a general list since i am unfamiliar with how your hab is set up. possible insufficient or obstructed cooling. had this issue when i was air cooling a hab. obviously this is air cooling vs. liquid cooled but same principle. check radiator for dust buildup, fans are running as necessary, pump seems working properly, and as a last check reseat the head with new thermal paste/grease.

Ok I've an inquiry. When using cgminer(which uses GWQ protocol) as I am trying to clock the board up above say 700-750, after a short while, cgminer will start spewing messages about ignored opcode 12, which I looked and is an OP_status, not an OP_GWQ_status. Then shortly after it will go sick and be disabled. Temps seem fine, it's typically runs last my enough for temps to settle: 81C at 700MHz@default voltage.
So my question is: what could cause a Hab to switch from sending op_gwq_status frames to op_status frames when all operating conditions seem reasonable
I can attempt to collect screenshots/debugs tonight after work.

I just bought a used Yoli Evo/Habanero, i have a few questions. The guy claims he was having speed issues, would this be a hw or sw issue? What is the heat sink config, 775/115X? I have a 775 water cooling loop that has been collecting dust in the package, I could make a new mounting setup if need be. Thanks in advance!

Is it a Habanero or a Yoli board? I don't have a Yoli to confirm, but I'm certain that is 1156 as well. If you have a 775 cooling loop, you could probably shoehorn it onto either with a custom bracket. It might help the issues.

He said its a Yoli, but i dont have it in hand yet so I can't tell you any specifics yet. Max claimed speed was 100 Ghs.

#6-32 for the outside ones that hold the backplate to the board. The LGA1156 heatsink holes are either M3-0.5 or 6-32. Unfortunately some of them got tapped wrong, but they're close enough in the soft aluminum that you can use either.

I had to replace all 4 of the 6 pin pci-e connectors on my hab. Figured it was the same scenario...just too hard for too long! The only tricky part was the one that melted the plastic so bad, I had to drill it out Just had a PS supply croak and all 4 connectors melted on one of my boards in the same way. Any suggestions on some place that can replace the connectors? I am in Denver. Other than the connectors the board still looks ok... so hopefully it powers up ok when I can get the connectors replaced. Thanks!

I could do it, in Missouri. You might snoop around local computer shops or TV repair guys. When I worked for the one here in town we had people coming in with random bits needing ten minutes' work every now and then.

Possibly to do with: --hfa-fail-drop <arg> Set how many MHz to drop clockspeed each failure on an overlocked hashfast device (default: 10) ? https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer/blob/master/ASIC-README

I ask cuz on all the boards I've handled the setpoint is always slightly higher than voltage reported by asic ( yes I know R element of power path will cause some small Vdroop)

Will give this a try as I'm running 2habs off a corsair RM1000: at 550MHz@930mV since die reports about 0.89 Wanted to see if I could undervolt and squeeze 3 on there, or undervolt and bump up clock some As a sidenote: I hate OSX Yosemite. It killed my MBPs HDD somehow and almost cost me my BTC wallet. Recovery HD partition and a thumb drive saved my ass
