The Community Exchange is the first project of the New Capital team.
It is currently a Centralized Exchange but it will soon turn to a fully Decentralized Exchange (DEX) built on the new NEM catapult blockhain.

You got it right. NEM Foundation is a major partner of New Capital for this project. It is therefore bound to succeed!

In the light of the recent wave of Exchanges located in Europe (CoinExchange, NovaExchange, etc...) shutting down because of the new EU regulations,
New Capital is launching a Listing application campaign for serious blockchain projects.
Needless to say that the Community Exchange will be compliant with those regulations.

Yep. I remember Bitsane, the exchange that literally turned insane. I remember that it was even one of the approved exchanges of ripple.
That's unfortunate that you guys got caught up with their exit scam.

NEM Catapult has just been released and is currently being tested by the New Capital dev team.
There's no exact date as to when the DEX will be available but a reasonable estimated date would be End of 2020.

What is a DEX, win.win by New Capital!
Decentralized Exchange
The most obvious benefit of a DEX is the same as with any decentralized application, which revolves around the philosophy of cutting out the middlemen and returning interactions to peer-to-peer, permission-less models without central authorities. More specifically, decentralization creates censorship-resistance, which in the case of decentralized exchanges means that no central authority could forcefully impose regulations, or even ban currencies and/or the exchange itself. This is especially important considering that many countries are clamping down on cryptocurrency trading. For example, the two most populous countries on earth, China, and India, have banned cryptocurrency exchanges, while countries including Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil have restricted cryptocurrencies.
Without Decentralized Exchanges, the peoples’ ability to invest in crypto is subject to governments, so cryptocurrency becomes hardly more democratic than traditional asset markets. Governments can exert control over centralized exchanges, and users are subject to authorities who may at any moment track and tax users, or ban currencies.
A decentralized exchange is built on the blockchain and allows for the peer-to-peer trading of tokens native to that blockchain. How this works is that the users simply connect their cryptocurrency wallets to the decentralized exchange to begin interacting with the smart contract on it. This process automatically matches, verifies and executes trades without the need of a third-party. Traditionally, DEXs have been built on the ethereum blockchain (Kyber, 0x Protocol, Airswap), however, this has recently extended to other blockchains such as EOS or NEO.

TWINS cryptocurrency, facilitated by New Capital will introduce a truly decentralized exchange platform and proof-of-stake blockchain network in near future, with cross-chain atomic-swaps capabilities to facilitate the direct transacting of value between network users.  Up till now, EU-based crypto-exchanges have been unregulated. However, from January 2020, based on the 5th AML directive (EU), all crypto-exchanges and custodian wallet providers will have to comply with new stricter requirements, such as AML (anti-money laundering) and KYC (know your customer) procedures for their users. While many in the blockchain community consider any regulations unfavorable, at New Capital we are strongly of the opinion that in order for this industry to be massively accepted and for crypto-assets to become an integral part of our everyday lives, more formal procedures and structures must be in place to protect all participants, including end-users, institutions and service providers.

Urgent announcement!

Yesterday night, it was detected that both the TWINS and FIX networks are being exploited, with the attacker being able to receive masternode rewards on addresses that do not have associated masternode collateral. With further investigation, we now suspect that these rewards were being sold on the Community Exchange ever since September 2019. We have disabled all automatic withdrawals on the exchange, and will manually verify each and every withdrawal attempt until this issue has been resolved. Please contact @Alex [new.capital] directly if your withdrawal has been pending for longer than one hour.

It is our highest priority to establish the details of this vulnerability, and to immediately apply a solution to prevent any further abuse of the networks. We suspect that this serious problem is due to a vulnerability inherited in the PIVX code, and is not related to the multi-tier logic that was recently introduced into the TWINS and FIX networks. However, this type of attack can potentially negatively influence the overall masternode reward ratio and the performance statistics of the network, thereby affecting all of the participants in these projects. Our team is working full-time to solve this issue, but we urgently appeal to you for any assistance that you are able to offer. We have allocated a significant bounty as a reward for your contributions in correcting this vulnerability.

All of the maliciously gained rewards that are generated following the detection of this attack will be locked by the network, and will be rendered unusable in the release of the next wallet code versions.

Introduction of trading fees on the New Capital Exchange:

We are excited to introduce the first version of commercial activity of the New Capital Exchange. We are also very excited to introduce the first implemented version of future win.win DEX token economics. The purpose of this is simulation is to “test-drive” the use case and motivate traders to use TWINS for discounted trading fees.


Exchange standard trading fees are: 0.25% taker/maker

. Trading fees will be reduced to 0.1% taker/maker for users with positive TWINS balance. In that case a transaction fee of 2 TWINS per order will also be charged automatically. If no TWINS balance is available, the standard trading fees of 0.25% taker/maker will be applied and no transaction fee will be charged.

All the collected fees in TWINS will be deposited to the TWINS Dev fund address, monthly.

In addition, the latest update includes improvements to matching algorithm for reversed pairs. The total amounts will be rounded up or down to fully match the order.

We have also limited the decimals for all cryptocurrencies from 16 to 10.
