This is an awareness especially to the newbies. The fact that you need to deposit 0.1btc is obviously a scam. This kind of fraud giveaways is really spreading even in social media and people should avoid this. Thank’s for this information as this could help not to be a victim of scam.

Guys, don't get me wrong! But honestly, I very much welcome this development because in the brighter side, it seems to me that these scammers have ran out of tricks since they are still using old style scamming techniques which are way too obvious and could easily raise some suspicions! Wink

Ironically, this is a good news to the community which are getting more and more aware about these schemes and thus making it more difficult for these scammers to pull off their tricks to victimize somebody.

Now I feel the cryptocommunity is somewhat getting more mature than before which is a good thing for the whole industry!  Imho.)

Very sad that there are 2 victims already.
These probably are the people that never look into it first and never verify if the giveaway is legit from coinbase or any company which their name has been used by these scammers. I hope that there will be no longer other victims to be added sending bitcoin on that scammers address.

Sometimes the scammers will fake "deposits" to fool unsuspecting victims. I checked the address (which sent the BTC) and judging by the transaction volumes, it might belong to the scammers themselves.
I've never thought of that and yeah that's possible. And the other balance has been sent to another address.

Now I feel the cryptocommunity is somewhat getting more mature than before which is a good thing for the whole industry!  Imho.)
Yeah it's look like the community is learning from all of those past incidents. And it's good to see that there wasn't any addition transaction on that address of scammer.

Yep - I lost 2.81 BTC on Christmas eve to this youtube scam.

I realized tonight that I was involved in a scam after getting home from work and digging into things further.
Im in total disgust and my stomach is absolutely nauseous..
this was a lot of money for me. 27k canadian to be exact.

Cant believe this stuff isnt being tackled by youtube..
I wasn't even looking for that video either it came up in my youtube recommended videos or whatever.
I watched and then took part that morning.
I feel totally robbed... and disgusted.

If you want to get in touch with me, please IM me... this is not a scam. I just lost all my btc to this.
Im not a scammer and im not lying.

I am also willing to talk on the phone if you want to hear more. Im devastated.

Thanks for reading,
-Dan from BC canada.
