We can never really tell at this point.

We haven't seen the full working project as of today, everything is based on the surface so we don't know if people around the world are going to actually used it. So it is still 50/50, and we all know that Facebook doesn't have a good track record as far as data privacy is, remember the Cambridge Analytica debacle?

So its early, we need the product to roll out first and see if there is a demand for it or if people around the globe will actually see, another drawback is that it could be a honey pot for surveillance specially those three letters agencies, if you know what I mean.

Since I do not use Facebook’s paid services probably I will not use Libra as well. As a crypto educated person, I’d rather use other Bitcoin alternative and not Libra. Libra is only good for beginners but no doubt it could bring more adopters once the project is compliant.

The first users will be those who are streamers, advertisers and those who have businesses in facebook. Other users will be affected for example if you want to donate for your favorite streamer, facebook will force you to use their coins. Even if just a small portion of their users use Libra, it still is a large amount.

The real problem for them is if they can get past congress. So far, it is dim.

I guess many people will use it, just like how large Facebook's followers and users are despite its unpopular or even shady way of handling personal information and private data. This is due to lack of consumer education. They are mostly unaware of what is going on behind the coin or the project or the site. They are only looking at the face value and if that is convenient enough for them to use they will use it.

Same here. Those of us who are wary of our privacy being breached never use Facebook in the first place.

Whether people already on Facebook would use is it is another question. There is some evidence that young people (the kind most into cryptocurrency) are deserting facebook:

Older people who just use it to keep up with family are unlikely to use it to move money.

In my case yes, I would for the reason it could make my daily living more efficient than it was ever before. People will just look for solutions in the societies current problems, and if that solves everything then they should be able to use any kind of tech including others too and not just libra.

Yes, of course, there will be people who would love to be using Libra once it can be fully available and operational in the marketplace. I am sure that Facebook will be campaigning that Libra can be one of the options that advertisers can pay within the many social media sites it is controlling, though am not seeing they going to do it exclusively at the very start but who knows what can happen later. This is a multibillion dollar market and can be providing Libra the head start that it needs. Plus all other members of the Libra Association are going to make sure that their respective platforms are also campaigning for the adoption of Libra.

Mark Zuckerberg and his people will not be pushing for Libra if they are not seeing a big market for this stablecoin. Now, having said that, am not saying that I am going to be patronizing Libra but I might if I am doing a business with the Facebook platform and there is an incentive for people using Libra as mode of payment. Mark is an entrepreneur par excellence and he can smell money even 5 miles away (like a hunting shark).

There's definitely a market for it. People who are paying crazy fees to send remittances via Western Union and Moneygram will use it. I won't be using it though since I don't send cross-border remittances and there are better local P2P options like Cash App and Venmo.

Okay. Let's get someone clear first. I believe and I do think a lot of other people also think that Libra was a great example of a crypto currency that could have fairly easily gone mainstream. There was definetly a use case and market for it, and it's pretty shocking that the government had to cut them down, it's likely due to the bad reputation that Facebook has with user privacy.

I'd personally be using Libra a lot, especially since I work with Western Union and Transferwise a lot with people who aren't very into cryptos, which would be a perfect use case for Libra.

No problem with using Libra. As to Security issues, nothing to hide, my facebook profile is open. Besides I am not putting all my crypto assets on Libra if ever, ill use it for daily transactions the same  with my other digital currencies ( not decentralized).

I won't use Facebook's Libra too, I don't think I need it, I can never tell but let's see, as of the moment, I don't have any interest on it. Many of my friends doesn't like this too, and they don't have plan to invest on it. But, it is quite interesting and because of this many of my non crypto friends messaged me about this, meaning to say, the curiosity of people has caught by Libra therefore massive adoption is expected for this.

dont talk too early mate because we are still in waiting if what this Libra can bring,when we saw the working project already then thats the time we can bring some words like this.

yeah we can use other coins but what if this Libra is much better that those?what if this project comes successful?then we will regret our statements?

Yes in my view, it’s too early to say this time if I will use Libra. Good point as long there is a good feedback from other users about Libra possibly I am one of those people will appreciate it and use it also. Let us see if Libra could offer a good benefits to the people.

At this point just by observing the current news around it? Most probably no. It had a lot of hype but no foundation to push it to the top, or at the very least, stay in an advantageous situation. Because of that, they fell quite flat when a lot of people judged Libra and a lot of news were reported about it.
Still, judging by the fact that they still have time before they release it, I'd suppose i'd leave my final judgement for then and see what they can come up with.

There will be a lot of mixed emotions from different people that will stand by for adopting Facebook's Libra project and those that won't. I won't adopt it to use on the platform but maybe purchase a few just for speculative purposes. As of right now, Facebook is standing in front of congress trying to get the backing and the green-light to go ahead and push forwarder. Many regulators aren't ready of a mass adoption yet so they're putting the pressure on Facebook. I believe Libra is a risky but powerful move on FaceBooks behalf. As of right now, their standing  on the forefront of global adoption of a single Crypto-currency.
