Buying altcoins during bearish trend is indeed a good opportunity to accumulate, if you believe in the future of alts then dont hesitate. But we know some investors are losing interest to alts and switching to btc because they think alts are just a waste of money.

Well for me I prefer the old coins rather than new because they are already well established and been here for long period. Some of new coins are turning to shitcoin for a reason it has no use cases and cant solve real problem.

Good choice, bitcoin easily recover fast from any price fall instead of waiting and holding altcoins for year, with few gains from btc price drops it will make sense but still i prefer altcoin gains, i knew very well what happened on january 2018 with many new altcoins

I guess it is always right to buy an altcoin when you are investing in the right project. To be safe invest in at least the top 10 altcoins for sure those coins will surely recover on a red market. Don't risk on new altcoin which is suspicious and possibly scam. Find active and unique projects, active teams attending conferences and similar stuff.

Are you sure that just blindly picking top 10 is good enough? This showed to be not the best tactic multiple times in the last year for sure. I'm merely exploring the way people think on BTT at this point, so I'll be glad to see some solid arguments for or against a certain method/tactic.

Maybe another person trying to promote FOMO here so that he can sell his coins/tokens, well I  know that some altcoins have really chance but it doesn't mean that all of those in top 10 coins should be especially if you are just doing short term trading, anyway, it depends on our analysis, I prefer seeking advice from the reliable experts in trading and also making my own analysis.

At the time of the red market it is indeed the right time to buy some potential coins because we have a great opportunity to make a profit. Alts just goe in my stock. Well it is still a good choice but there are no news nor any sign besides from a big news coming up around such adopting so on and so fort but when it comes to crypto or bitcoin itself there are no, although it is hard to predict. The issue is knowing the "lowest prices" to buy altcoins, since most times we buy at dip and price still gets dipper, this happened to me when I bought DENT at 13 sats and price went down to 4 sats. It's best to accumulate in parts anyway, but I'm having my major holding (70%) in Bitcoin. Recently I bought more NPXS hoping for the best since the development so far is encouraging even though price is down.
