Ranked Up to Legendary

1st. o_e_l_e_o - Ranked up at 798 Ativity (01.01.20)
2nd. joniboini - Ranked up at 812 Activity (15.01.20)
3rd. krogothmanhattan - Ranked up at 1008 Activity (01.02.20)
4th. roycilik - Ranked up at 980 Activity (26.02.20?)
5th. xtraelv - Ranked up at 1008 Activity (31.03.20?)

We are soon entering in the period when if there was not a merit system people should rank up to Legendary.
That's why I'm making this list to see who will enter into the Rank Up Legendary Zone (RULZ) who have received already minimum 990  

How it is calculated.

If you account is registered between 9.10.17 - 3.12.17 you most likely was a Member/Jr. or Newbie account in that time, ( included Member rank as well because 10 airdropped merit are only 1% of the requirement for legendary so it's basically nothing.. and of course I'm in the list as well. ) I can do it .

We are not that far from Activity 775, just a few weeks more so  let's keep an eye who's gonna be the first Legendary

Chimk is one of the best merit source at the moment, he is number 1 on your list. Chimk is also responsible for increasing the ranking of several other users as I can find in BPIP. Those on the list are the best posters, and it is appropriate that they will rise to become Legendary in the future.

If you want, I can provide you weekly updates of the base file. It’s pretty easy once I calculate my weekly stuff for the Merit Dashboard, so I can provide an update every Friday evening/ Saturday morning at the latest.

If you want me to do it, just let me know if you want me to:

a)   Update the same file (so as not to change the Google Link).
b)   Create a different file each week (if you want access to each week’s data).

I could also trim the account creation time in the process if you don’t want to display the time.

Note: sometimes, we will see a "startedwith" that seems inconsistent. For example, @tranthidung displays 1 merit for this column. What happened in this case (and a few others) is that the profile is merited between the moment the forum generates the merit.txt file, and I scrape the profile data (the TXs + airdrop do not add up to the merit on the profile, and thus startedwith has a non-expected value). It’s just a tiny hiccup, that does not affect too many profiles.

Anyway, Great achievement buddies. When merit was implemented everyone (most I would say if I have to correct it) thought that this is the end of the ranking system but you lot proved those guys wrong. Keep up the good works.

My name is here so I'm proud of it.

Total earned merits are not the only factor to judge one user is a good one or vice versa but I hope that I am a 'good' user of the forum. Just thinking of a good user because I think that I am too far from a higher level, a truly valuable asset of the forum, that I aim at for next few years.
I have a club of top merited users (250+) so it contains some statistics that you can use. The club updated weekly with helpful hands from LoyceV. So if DdmrDdmr won't give you updates for whatever reasons, you can use my club's updates as alternative.

You want to present another meaningless thread regarding the meaningless accumulation of meaningless merits, but the twist with this one is you are creating rules like first to earn 990 rather than earn 1000 to become a RULZ champ so that you have a great chance to be the first??

The 0 - 1000 that does not lose 70% + of the merits if you take their top 20 cycling fans and meta board merits  away is the only RULZ legend that can be the champ of that pretty meaningless heap with any shred of credibility.

Damn, bro you got the hard part already done.  Judging by the ridiculously low number of members who've ranked up to Legendary from scratch, you should consider yourself fortunate. 

The merit system was designed to make it hard to rank up, and it looks like it's doing a damn good job.  But Jesus, it might be making it too hard to rank up, especially for members who make good, but not excellent, posts.  I'm still thinking more merit sources might be necessary, but I have no way to know how enthusiastic the current ones are about distributing merits.  OTOH, there really haven't been too many threads in Meta lately about how frustrated members are that they aren't ranking up.  I think most members have just come to accept the fact that they won't.

Sorry, I am not English mother tongue,so I am maybe losing some nuisance in the term "fortune",  but I disagree here: I don't consider my merits the result of fortune, but hard work and commitment to the forum. Only this, merits are earned. Maybe you can gets some out of luck (memes, funny comments at the right time, posting news first that start a good thread. But this is fortunate coincidence, you cannot get hundreds of them like this.

I think the obvious goal right would be one of the very fortunates users to have achieved the legendary status via merit and then be on the waiting list for legendary status via activity. Although my date of registration was early than your criteria to be on the list, I was a member ranked users when the merit system was introduced and was Airdropped 10 merit although my account was somehow dormant, I wasn't active untill later in the Q4 of 2018 or so when I become very active till date.

Congratulations to all the users on the list, we have all done quite well for ourselves and hopefully we'll all achieve the legendary status sooner or later putting into consideration we keep the momentum ongoing and not relax just because we have made it this far.

Edit: removed the 10-merit condition, doesn't make sense to me. IMO anyone who earned 1000+ is bona fide leg&dairy regardless of how they started.
