Here is an article from Bitcoin Magazine detailing the announcement
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/evercoin-2-joins-the-mobile-hardware-wallet-market

One perspective is that if you have a mobile compatible YubiKey 5c or 5ci, you can download a free mobile wallet that now has hardware security by YubiKey.

Evercoin takes the position that it is a safer wallet (safer, not necessarily more secure) because like ledger or trezor, there is
* hardware security provided for the key
* you control the 12 word mnemonic (your keys your crypto)

However, unlike traditional hardware wallets:
* there is an easy-to-use non-custodial wallet backup and recovery system which makes losing your keys harder
* it integrates biometric authentication factors from the phone like fingerprint and face
* it's more inconspicuous
* it's more portable and mobile-first
* YubiKey by itself provides nice security protection
* It has a built in non-custodial exchange
* It's less prone to user error, exchanging doesnt require typing or pasting addresses

Purpose built hardware wallets certainly appear to have more security features and in fact originating the keys on the hardware is more secure than originating on the phone and encrypting subsequently. Also transaction signing is not happening on the keys. But it's a significant step forward to provide an easier way for mobile users to get additional security when using Evercoin.

Disclosure: OP is a cofounder at Evercoin.

Good to see there's a new competitor of Ledger Nano and the Trezor, but why only 20 digital assets can be stored?

Are you Miko Matsumura?

I saw an article in Cointelegraph about your wallet. I think you should create an ANN thread regarding your hardware wallet.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/with-new-crypto-hardware-wallet-evercoin-takes-aim-at-trezor-and-ledger.

Where to purchase this hardware wallet that safe?

Yes that's me.

You can purchase the yubikey directly from yubico or on Amazon. You will need the 5ci if you have an iPhone and the 5c if you have Android.

Do not buy any used Yubikey, it's not a safe practice.

Evercoin can be downloaded for free from http://Evercoin.Com

Currently all of the digital assets we support can currently be traded on our exchange. in the future we want to support a much bigger variety of assets including tons of erc20 tokens but most will be for holding in the wallet. So that's a roadmap item..
