Well boys
I got my 853$ difference for my first s17e pre order
And I got my 800$ difference for the second one
It came in a form of coupon for 689 and 682 and it can be used to deduct a maximum 10% of my orders price
This is a f...... joke ?

Similar thing here. Got 201$ coupon (probably from my S17e) however, they still owe me around 652$ if I remember correctly. They might have sent it in BTC, but I cannot currently check.

Also, mine are expiring in the same time as yours.

I believe the limit is 10% of the total order, not per miner. So you just need to buy enough miners to hit 10X the coupon value.

Not sure, but that's what it says in the details. #4 says "10% of the total order".

Anyone verify you can use a single coupon for more than one miner?

no. but i suspect the 855 was given for my late order 2x t17e

the 475 maybe for the 1999 s17 pro that i purchased.

since the s17 pro dropped to 1599.

and that would leave me a mystery 689 coupon which would most likely be for the s9k units i ordered.

i also got a mystery 375 coupon a while back so all in all they may have issued enough coupons.

but i will not be able to buy anything with these. since they are only going to give me 10% of the s17 pro.

i will get 159.90 off a s17 pro. which is about a push for shipping.

i dont think i want the s17 pro at. 1599 net. plus taxes.

i certainly wont order new gear until they ship my late.

In theory then would you trade your 855 475 689 plus 130 for shipping for a s17 pro? say you got 640 640 and 475 you are good on your end
I would also do the same with my coupons 682 689 201 to offset the 200 coupon 640 + 640 + 201 1480 plus 120to offset that 200 coupon plus shipping

we then need essentially two more people with 3 coupons of approx 1600 value to full that 6400 order
it shouldn't cost anyone more than 350usd for a s17pro shipped

i see what you are attempting to do.  it is difficult to know if it works.

my thoughts are wait a bit. and hope for a price drop in s17pro.

if i can get four for 1200 that would be 4800.  use the 475 coupon  they drop to 4325.

as 10% of 4800 is 480 killing off the 475 coupon. then stack my 689 which would give me 480

dropping to 3845.

then use your two 682 689 both drop to 480 so 960 off 3845- 960 = 2885 four units.

my logic is they will cap the number of coupons to the number of units ordered.

so four units gets you four coupons.

waiting is the move as we are usa based. and an order of 4x1200 in dec may have a better chance on the trump tax.

i think that using 2x t17s and 2x 201 coupons would be a cheap way to test.

since you could kill the second 201 coupon.

we might be able to trade 689s for 682s might be some leg work and testing required

if you wanna trade your 689 for my 682 it would give me 2 689 to test with or I can send you mine and you can see if they discount more than 689

I have now sent 3 emails after receiving their initial email about the price differences and that we would receive refunds/credits and I have gotten zero responses. Today I opened a support ticket on Bitmain's site - not sure if that will get me any answers faster.

I want to order a T17e with the credit or get the refund so I can order, I have enough coming back that with the $150 coupon I have that I would only be out of pocket for around $200 and shipping.

I tried to place an order to see if I would see the credit at payout, and I got the following message:

The product in your cart will be shipped out from China and an additional 25% import duty will be charged by US customs, please kindly confirm before submitting your orders.

and like Phil above, I did not see it on the payment screen, so I will be letting this order expire.

well holy hell... when the order expired, it also expired the coupon I attached to it.... It says I "used" the coupon. I went thru the process to order to see if my credit would also be applied, since it was not, I thought to let it expire.... I did not think that would lose the coupon too. shit...

You shouldn't have used the coupon just to check your credit, but no worries, just send them a support ticket and say that you were not able to pay the order for whatever reason, they would very likely give re-issue the coupon.

Guys you should not accept those 10% coupons, protest and keep sending them emails, that is a rip off ,  even if you get to make a large order and make use of 100% the coupon value it still does not make sense , you are very likely to save more money buying other coupons and applying them on each miner than getting a 10% or a 689$ on a 7000$ order.

Look, I'll gladly accept free coupons as long as they fully refund my credits or accept it on BTC order. Otherwise I will keep opening tickets.

Well that is the whole point , in fact the only fair way of credit is either btc or paypal, even coupons must not be considered as credit because they never actually worth 100% of their value, at best case scenario you get only 70% of it's value if you manage to find a buyer, but still a coupon that applies on a single miner with no 10% restriction is somehow acceptable.

I don't understand their logic  especially with paypal orders.

I have 9600 in paypal orders.  six months to pay and  six months to complain something is wrong.

Why treat me this way when I have leverage on all those paypal orders?

Yea - I did put a ticket in already. I applied the coupon because if the credit was there I would have paid for the order - but I wonder, had I left the coupon off and the credit was there - but I let the order expire so I could reorder to use both the credit and coupon - would I have lost the credit on the expired order???

Bitmain is doing this all jacked up - they should simply issue refund via BTC or PayPal (if that is how the buyer made the purchase)

I am still going forward with refund, even though I plan to reuse those funds. Mainly because they do not accept it for BTC orders, but as well as a matter of principle.
