Twitter CEO Sees Big Future for Bitcoin in Africa

Bitcoin has a good future here in Africa, but the leaders here are hiding the reality of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies from an average African whorely on the government to do the thinking for them. My government in Nigeria is hell-bent on taxing the unborn child and using the same to fund their expensive lifestyle. How I wish stores in Nigeria will abandon banks and majorly use cryptocurrency, the government will be forced to rethink. The youth in Africa are the ones taking destiny in their hands.

Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, recently published a tweet in which he announces his move to Africa, as he believes that the continent will ‘define the future.’

he is only around 3 to 6 months in mid 2020 what will happen in 2020? well at least this is more unique news than hearing news about china and moreover about hacking exchanges, a lot of boring news, I think this will be interesting news for me to read and be interested in, I certainly fully support even hearing the development of bitcoin in africa because they are also a big continent, why not and why should big countries like America and China published here, let's move the news to other countries so it doesn't look boring

I came across that tweet few minutes after it was posted, but didn't pay too much attention to it. Interests in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency from top individuals in different fields is welcome but shouldn't overshadow the actual objectives.
I believe Africa is going to be a hub for technology in the near future as the growth of smart phones become more evident and the continent would also influence the growth of Bitcoin. I'm speaking as an Afripreneur

the big future in africa for bitcoin does that mean for payments? we know if the country in Africa is a country that is lagging behind economically. so it's natural that bitcoin can be an option and has a great future potential

Africa is definitely a good stage for bitcoin, most of the governments are corrupt, inflation is high and very hard to get resources. Bitcoin may be their solution for many of the things. CEO's of unicorns are more supportive towards bitcoin which is another great thing to see.

Jack has expressed his support of Bitcoin before, and even tested the Lightning Network as far as I remember. Africa is usually taken as a whole and as a hole (pun intended). In reality, it's a huge continent with very different countries. Some of them are terrible, some of them are improving, and some of them have the highest equality indices. When it comes to cryptos, there've been successful startups working in Africa, and I've seen multiple articles on the topic of good rates of crypto adoption in various countries there. I hope Jack will be fine and turn out to be right in this situation.

I totally agree that Africa is a continent with high potential for economic growth at the present time, developing countries in this continent will probably easily accept new technologies and ideas. New idea. Bitcoin will have great opportunities in Africa.
