2.You can post a trade in this section for bitcoin and state what price you want to buy at. Some of the members in this section may be able to help you out with a personal trade. Please use an escrow before dealing with users with no trust or whom you have suspicion about.
3.There is a global currency exchange section under "Marketplace" in the main English forum. But same precautions should be applied here to about getting an escrow. That section is lurked by scammers.

i have been using lbc for a while now, didnot know that there is an option to post trade, i will try that  thanks

Since June 1, 2019 LocalBitcoins.com has prohibited in person cash trade.

Cash dealings are very risky in my opinion. Cash dealings are largely carried out by non-taxpayers and currency counterfeiters. If the buyer is a non-taxpayer, then there is not much of a problem except for the loss of revenue for the Government. But if the buyer is a currency counterfeiter, then the seller is in big trouble. Even though there are ways to identify counterfeit notes, it's hard to identify each and every note. Hence, I would suggest avoiding cash transactions and use bank transfers.

It's a simple process.

1. Find someone you trust.

2. Make sure that person has Bitcoins.

3. Hope and pray to your god that they are dumb enough to agree to a cash transaction with you, carries the Bitcoin with them when they meet you.

4. Pray to your dear god that the person is not a scammer or a criminal capable of doing you bodily harm to take your cash.

5. If everything goes well, agree upon a sale price.

6. Acquire the Bitcoins.

7. Close this thread.

Yes it is. You just need some contacts to spread the word that you want to buy/sell bitcoins.
Also you need skills to identify the person whether he is a scammer or not.
Find a trader whom you can trust enough and agree upon a price and make the trade.
Though cash deals are very risky, it is hassle free if the trader is trusted.

you can't use LBC for cash trades anymore but you can use lbc to get contact details of traders and contact them personally and find someone who is near your locality but as others said you need to be cautious while dealing with someone personally.
