I am a rather big fan of heist movies such as The Perfect Score, Ocean’s 11, the Mission: Impossible Movie Franchise and many more less well-known heist movies. While watching those movies, I’m just thinking would it be possible to plan a heist to seal some crypto-currency? Moreover, are there any cryptocurrency heists that have taken place in the real world so far?
I heard about one guy, programmer from Ukraine. Nowadays he lives in USA somewhere. He lost his 28 Bitcoins (nearly 250000 dollars) in 2018. He had in his IPhone the app for keeping BTC. He took his IPhone to the repairman to one of the services, and after that when he got his phone back, he has found no BTC on his wallet. He even asked for help the Apple company, but of course nobody could help him. Or one another story when a guy was in a cafe or pub do not rememeber exactly, he just used the WiFi and tried to check the balance on his wallet, and openned his wallet online and after that lost all his assets on the crypto wallet. I heard some story about guys that tried to stole the cryptomat, and they even did this, but the most funny that they did not knew that this cryptomat did not work, it was just placed, but it was not connected to the whole system..)))))) lots of stories like that. But mostly people just are hacked - like private wallets or exchanges, more ordinary stories, not like in blockbasters))))) or action movies))))
