default sorting in the altcoin announcement forum

i have noticed the default sorting in the altcoin announcement forum isn't chronological (last post) like in every other forum. anybody knows by what it is sorted in that forum?

To answer your question, there have been changes in some boards, including the altcoin announcement, since some bitcointalk marketers have been spamming them by creating newbie accounts to bump threads of their clients. Many users have been complaining about this for a long time and I am also glad that when this change was introduced.

Do you want to sort some altcoin announcement thread? There are some ways to sort threads in that section.
It is a hidden menu but you can use it in altcoin announcement section.

Its because of the new bumping system which previously some users tried to spam bumps to keep their topics on topic. Now its a more organic method of bumps. Go to any of these thread and check the top right corner where you some some buttons like "reply" "print" - you will "bump" there too. If you like a topic, bump it.

Possible Workaround: I have tried this, but correct me if I am wrong.

Click on the "Last post" button on the deep blue header - click it until the arrow beside it turns down and you will get a chronological ordered thread list. Go back to the default view by clicking on the name of the section for example "Tokens (Altcoins)". I hope that makes sense.

I don't think he will be able to use the bump button because of his rank. He is a newbie and his base bump power is zero.

Right, to sort topics by last post all you have to do is to click "last post" twice
