Bitcoin-related companies have been flooding the English Premier League recently. However, for Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Wolves), their latest sponsorship deal with CryptoMillionsLotto, a lottery which pays gamblers a reward in Bitcoin, has the company’s CEO being scrutinized.

According to a report from local English news source the Mirror, the partnership may be under review based on previous business practices. It is alleged that CEO Sulim Malook does not have a UK gambling license and that his former business, Fat Cat Gaming, failed miserably.

I know most of you may think that if a crypto company or firm is sponsoring sports leagues and teams, it would be huge for the cryptocurrency community. But that won't be the case if the company or firm itself doesn't have any license to operate.

With his failing business and not having a UK gambling license, the reputation and trust would be at stake. If he wants to turn things around, he has no choice but to legally apply for gambling license in the United Kingdom.

However, I don't know if he could afford that as of now. What do you guys think about this? Thanks!

Afford what? The UK gambling license? I think with £50 or less one can have a business license in UK. It should not be too expensive.
By the way so far sportsbet.io and Watford partnership is the biggest one in my opinion.

The utter saturation of any type of gambling in the UK is one of the shittiest legacies of previous governments. Who care if one of them is questionable? They're all worthless shit.

People will always gamble and that's fine. Still, promoting it like it's just another leisure activity in the volumes they do these days is gross.

I know most of you may think that if a crypto company or firm is sponsoring sports leagues and teams, it would be huge for the cryptocurrency community. But that won't be the case if the company or firm itself doesn't have any license to operate.
If you are planning to sponsor a big league sports team then you will get scrutinized and if you are not having license to run or operate the site then you will get into trouble and if he is running anything without a license he should not be greedy enough to become a big shot.

With his failing business and not having a UK gambling license, the reputation and trust would be at stake. If he wants to turn things around, he has no choice but to legally apply for gambling license in the United Kingdom.
However, I don't know if he could afford that as of now. What do you guys think about this? Thanks!
If he is not having money how come he is able to sign the sponsorship, is it that easy to sponsor these teams as all the crypto based sites are sponsoring these big league teams and these are multi millions dollar deals and if they are not having that kind of money they will not do that as these sort of deals could get them into real issue if they are not able to fulfill those sponsorship deals.

If it's affordable, how come that he cannot settle it to be fully-licensed in the UK with that price? This is where I'm curious at.
