And from what i remember if your bet wins they send the money back plus the profit, but if the bet lose then you don't get anything back.

Satoshi Dice and other similar gambling sites of the time responded with a payment to the originating address to acknowledge the transaction, whether the bet won or not. There is no corresponding acknowledgement to the transaction linked in this thread because the game was shut down about a week prior.

The owners of the game rebranded as MegaDice in 2017. They may still have ownership of that address.

2 years? This doesn't make sense. Did you send that amount 2 years ago or did you send partial amounts which add up to 0.4 BTC through out this duration op? Either way, this was a stupid move since there are far more legit sites out there in comparison.

Try contacting https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=116564 who handles their thread in this forum(He has not been that active lately though).

"lately"? He hasn't come online for 6 months now! Tongue
Well, judging by the OP's inability to write a more full post with details, he's either is lying for unknown reasons (he doesn't look so angry tbh!) or he's just stupid. But I would expect competing site to create newbie accounts just to FUD on other sites.
Probably happened two years ago then he just suddenly shared it today perhaps he's too tired of asking their support to return his funds or he's just making up some shit story to make a bad reputation on the site. But it doesn't makes sense too since he just said that the site was closed/closing already. I don't know what's the truth either.

For the last 2 years, sent .4 BTC to satoshi dice betting address before they disabled it. They never returned it. I've tried contacting them many time. I will probably never see this money again.

Which dice site do you deposit your .4btc? There are many dice site out there and mentioning one which has been closed will help the community identify it for further investigation.

Looks like he really sent the coin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=77870.msg16039442#msg16039442

But the Date on the address reads: 2016-06-10, meaning he sent the coin 3 years ago and not 2. I think he should get the date right to make finding his coin easier for satoshi dice owners. He probably should create a new topic on reputation section and describe in detail what really happened, with evidences to back them up.

He did mention the site name already but it can be confusing for other who have never heard about satoshidice as he write it separately "satoshi dice".
The only way to get his money back is by contacting the support, although satoshidice is a DAPP site now but if there is no ownership changing since the date OP sent the bitcoin then there should be still a way to get the money back.

I am not sure that the satoshidice will return the money back, because this is a long-standing problem and has just been reclaim again. We don't even know the proof, whether @OP received the deposit at the time or not, even he only gave a tx address to track the deposit.

And maybe the satoshidice has also lost its user data, so this will be difficult to verify the case. But better, this case was transferred to the reputation section.

And from what i remember if your bet wins they send the money back plus the profit, but if the bet lose then you don't get anything back.

I tried to track the BTC @OP ending at this address, and this address was active the last time in August, possibly the old owner was no longer active.

Is there any proof that this was a winning bet since it was onchain? I don't remember how the bets were handled back in those days. It was probably based off the hashed block. There should be some way to check whether it was a win or not.

It's possible that there was a bug and he wasn't paid however the problem is that Satoshidice switched owner once or twice since then from what I recall. Megadice is the current owners however they also seem very inactive in these forums. But you might as well contact them. You should of done this years ago however because most likely since the owners changed hands then any debt owed might not be transferred to the new owners but stay with the old owners.

I guess he is bringing this up now since 0.04BTC wasn't worth much back then but now it's worth almost $400 and he wants it back. Basically a good way to hodl. If he gets it back.

It was based on a daily secret value hashed with the TX ID. It was not based on a block because it was instant zero confirmation game. But the daily secrets are no longer available on the website so it's impossible to verify the bets. Maybe someone archived the secrets but then you would have to trust the archive. I don't think the effort would be worth it tho. OP isn't really interested in this, just posted the thread and disappeared can't even get the amount right.

Its better to create another thread on scam accusion then provide a proof that you got scam by this satoshi dice, then people can discuss about your problem because this 0.4 btc is a huge money, you also mentioned about that you already contacting the support but its appears that its never chat back on you.

In fact the OP did not send 0.4 BTC to the Satoshi dice, but only 0.04 BT and did not present other evidence.

Nice catch that is just 0.04BTC not 0.4BTC as the OP claiming it is clear in the transaction maybe he is not familiar with onchain casinos there is nothing hide.

I searched and couldn't find any database of this hashed secret value. Even tried the wayback machine,
https://web.archive.org/web/20160915000000*/satoshidice.com

It has an entry for June 9th 2016 when the bet was taken but unfortunately got some error 302 when trying to load the website.

And I guess since the OP posted this on Nov 19th and was last active on Nov 19th then it doesn't really seem that important to him. Who knows, maybe when BTC hits $20K he will return to this thread and try to get his 0.04BTC back.

Did you sent that 0.4 BTC erroneously or you did it in purpose but the funds did not apear in your account. If its erroneously, how come you are just reporting it today. You should have spoken about it right away when you see that theres a problem with the funds that you sent. Can you also post screen shots of your transactions, like transaction IDs. Your post needs more details so that readers can comprehend what the issue is all about.

OP didn't sent 0.4 btc, instead he has sent 0.04 btc around 3 years ago in satoshi dice. You can see many people mentioned on first page about his transaction
He also already tried to contact them since 3 years ago but he didn't get any answer until now

Maybe he has sent to old address which hasn't used anymore on satoshidice (he didn't check it first)

ouch bro, reading your story hurts. I cannot imagine that feeling, I do not know how to help you, But I wish you the best of luck on getting back your BTC. You deserve it. Maybe to talk some more experienced users on this forum and they can give you some tips on what to do? Be careful though, you cannot trust everyone on this forum. so keep that in mind when you decide to give the details of your case to someone. Best of luck

Really? He asked 19th November and there is no respond after then.
I don't think he is still caring anything anymore. He said something, but dozens of our valued forum members predicted it, but he didn't even have the courtesy to answer it. I mean, never mind, even he doesn't care about it that much.
