Why invest on a project because someone said they are good?

A friend from my street came by today to tell about a coin named LCC (Litecoin cash) and he told me he has already invested on the coin, i asked him what makes him invested in it, like what is the real use case of the coin and he have no straight answer, after a while i found out he invested in the coin because of what a analyst said about the project, are there people like this on here? after so many scams since 2018? i decide to do few diggings and i see that LCC is not that bad but my point is why invest on a project because someone said they are good?

That is why don't just blindy invest on something without any research first moreover if it was because someone told you so. The thing is, beginners easily fall for something like that, just following what others have said. Just because someone said they are good, doesn't mean that it is good. There are still lots of people just like that. Well, it's your right to follow them or nah. But I don't know much about LCC apart from it's a Litecoin fork, after all there's always risk whatever you do. Be smart!.

I called it laziness or such people are too scared of making mistakes, lack of wanting to seek for answers is laziness which is just bad and been too scared of mistakes will only make you stay in same spot forever

Simple, once a project has a big HYPE people like your friend will fall for it, i can't say hype is a bad thing because it is needed in crypto world so badly, sometimes it helps actually but most times pump and dump projects use hype the most

Your friend took a big risk which isn't worth taking because anything could have happened. Those experts he listened to how are they better? Or can they see the future? Many people who have listened to them in time past have regretted badly because they ended up buying either a useless coin or a coin which wasn't able to give them the return they were promised. Things like this indeed often occur in cryptocurrency where everyone invests in a project without knowing how the project is and they only participate based on suggestions from other people or from their friends and they will decide to invest in it because maybe they don't know how to analyze a project. I think this is only natural as the people they follow are close people and they trust.

There are a lot of project in ICO that use influencer to make their project attract more investors. I think for something like that in this crypto world is normal. Especially if your friend said that he buy because an analyst said about the project. For us usually as normal people, if we see or maybe paid or maybe work in a project, usually will promote to other people about the project/coin.

In my opinions, That was he wanted. Like BTC we do not have any idea if what use case can be use BTC right? But a lot of investors invested on BTC and they are guaranteed to gain profit past 6 to 10 years ago. So I think he invested because he felt a good investment idea to this coin. But we don't need to hear any analysis because not all their analyze are correct. We need to be careful with our money first of all before we invest on some coin that our felt that is good for us.

Just like we have 'Opinion Leaders' in our various societies whom people believe and take on to whatever they  acknowledge.  We have analysts who can be likened to these 'Opinion Leaders'. They are believed to have huge knowledge when it comes to blockchain and cryptocurrency. Hence, people tend to take to whatever they say without even carrying out their own analysis and research. These people give coins to buy. At the long run, its necessary you learn to do adequate researches before investing in the coins they acknowledge.

Almost owner always said they are the best project for investing, but you can't believe it before checking by your self, look how their project team and owner look serious with their coin before and after ICO, for Litcoin cash I think is not have good website and better never invest with coin without source link information about their coin, need whitepaper to know what opportunity of this coins.

Some people don't just say a coin is good or bad, they may be right either ways but make sure they have good points to back up their claims, its not bad to follow analysts but apply your own wisdom as well

Most people don't do their own homework when investing. They are investing because of hype or FOMO. Not everyone is after the use case, most investors are after the profit. Never base your investment decision because someone tells you it is good, it will be profitable or etc. Always research about the project and invest in a project you think will survive in a long run.

Well to me it makes sense because sometimes you can learn more about a particular project from others, it will help you to make a perfect decision, for example i invested in a project but i never knew it has burning ability, i heard it from an analyst and i find out its true so i must have missed that in the first place

Analysts are not perfect as well, all their claims are still predictions to me but they can easily take out some points about a project for you instead of doing the whole work yourself and yet its wrong to rely on them

we should not have to believe in someone, maybe we should first try to analyze the coin. so if indeed the coin is potentially good we can participate, but if the coin is not good we can stop not following. because good standards, according to people, are very different from ours.

Many of my friends recommend investing in investment projects that they think are good and profitable. But I am still hesitant to follow it. I always learn to analyze investment projects before following them so they don't get caught up in fraudsters' projects.

Do not ever just believe when others say the project is good, need analysis first, to decide whether the project is good or not.

our analisys will be different if we have high strandard when observing coins. We could take some opinion from others ,but dont totally agree with him . their opinion has possibility to wrong. If we could combine it , maybe good analisys could produced. If we have our own capability in analize coin, it will very usefull when many fake expert occur. They just want to take money from beginner by providing their analisys or signal.
