Bitcointalk Ranking-up pipeline- Those close to their next rank (lacking Merits)

DdmrDdmr, I know using code is the unique style you want for this thread but can you make it easier for those of us wanting to merit users here by making the profile or usernames clickable? It's enough trouble checking through users by copying and pasting their usernames just to get their profiles to check out their post history only to end up seeing that they already received the merits needed for ranking up. Can you make it any easier with clickable links?

I tend to use Code markers to make the posts smaller and scrollable, specially if the lists are long as those in the first few posts are, and I prefer keeping it that way. That’s why the complete list referenced in the OP on Google Docs is also updated each week, from where one can filter at will, and click on the profiles (column N):

Currently, on those lists there are, lacking <= 20% merits to rank-up (activity may not be met though):

I would suggest that someone look at the post history of this member and that we finally promote him in Legendary rank because he has been a member of the forum since 2015, and although he is not a top poster, he is one of the few from that period who is still a Hero member. If memory serves me well, he wrote somewhere that he was one of those who had no luck with the merit system (it was introduced only a few weeks before they were supposed to become Legendary).

LoL - I'm here from early 2014 and I'm still a Senior Member - merit system kicked in 4 days before I'd become Hero.
Even though the idea of a merit system made sense back in the days because of the inflated bounty campaigns of the ICO craze age, now the enduring merit system has turned the forum into a caste system, which is what has turned me away.

Updated the lists in the OP (and subsequent post) to reflect the forum members that still qualify in each of those lists.

Man, I really wanted to spread a lot more merits to the members on the latest list, but most of them only posted memes and others just didn't write posts that were all that good.  I think I may have helped at least one member to rank up, though, so I'm happy for that.

Guess I'll check previous weeks' lists that I missed.

I know that I am supposed to feel addressed by this. I didn't write much more in the Wall Observer thread tbh.

Qualitative and helpful posts are more likely to be found in the local area, as I have found the members in the international area too toxic in the past.
That's why I retreated a bit to the German local board.

Of course its  difficult for non-German speaking users to understand the posts and possibly appreciate them with merit, I can fully understand that.
But I have not gone empty, so thank you again. Maybe I will show up a little more in the future.

It's clear that merit is very influential for ranking up, and if you're at the top, you'll definitely post better stuff. As Proof You Can See My Posts When I Was A Newbie, Jr. Members, and Members.

I Don't Know What They Think If A User Who Is At The Top Level But Has A Very Unconstructive Post (I mean Shitpost)

In essence, the higher your ranking should be the higher quality of your posts, and when you make quality posts, it will result in better discussions in the forum (the quality of the forum will be better).

well you need merits to rank up, but i would argue your posts get better not because you have more merits or a higher rank, but just by growing as a person and by experience (spending more time doing something, in this case posting in the forum and exchanging thoughts)

Two of the few users "skarais and Rengga Jati" removed from this week's list are users who care enough about Indonesia's local board. They have contributed well locally and distributed the merit in any way they can. I'm glad they finally got promoted to a new rank and they deserve it because I know so far not many Indonesian local users have managed to do it. Next, I am still on my way to the last rank I dreamed of "Legendary", and currently I still need at least 146 merit to reach that rank. I see a better chance of earning merit and being promoted to the rankings as the number of merit sources has been increased to 111 with a total generation of up to 34139 sMerit per 30 days.

There's not much I can do other than just try to post quality stuff to the best of my ability. Even though I am one of the worst users that some may ignore, but that will never stop my intention to change. At least I can prove myself that I can still change with the best direction and input so far. If only I could maintain my merit earnings in the last 120 days for the next 4 months, then I would immediately rank up before the end of the year.

If you can maintain the consistency of posting with the best quality, then I'm sure in the next 1-2 months you will be promoted to seniors.
