So traders when I started trading I only knew about two indicators and nothing else after few days of trading I was in loss Grin

After that I googled ' top 10 books to learn trading ' and started reading books

Trading in the zone
Think and trade like a champion
trading for living
howard marks mastering the market cycle
Thinking fast and slow
now I am reading Little book that beats the market

I wrote this topic because I see many newbies and intermediate traders who have lost money and seeking for help , I think reading books is only way to gain knowledge and help yourself, don't go behind course and tips and waste your time and money , books are available for free just read and implement which Is what i did

which books have you read , how it is helping you

Actually, I haven't read any books related in trading but i'm looking for it particularly now that you have mentioned the books that might help us enhance our understanding and knowledge when it comes to trading. It will be a great new exploration that can everyone particularly newbies who's a bit confuse up until now. It's an amazing way to spend our spare time because it is fun, exciting and you can also learn a lot of things. It's also good for people who don't trust some information on the internet because they can just read some books and identify the answers to their questions. Thanks for sharing it.

I am not a fanatic or book lover, but I do love searching in google, youtube, I prefer watching things that I wanted to learn rather than reading books, it makes me sleepy , I can read books for just around 10 minutes then the rest I sleep. Anyway, but of course if there are books that I really wanted to read such as financial books, I am really interested on it but with trading and blockchain not yet.

I'm not a book fanatic either, but it's actually an important aspect of trading. Watching videos on youtube is not really helpful since everyone nowadays pretends to be an expert or guru, and they all want to sell you signals, courses, webinars, etc. I would steer clear of them.

https://www.amazon.com/Market-Wizards-Interviews-Top-Traders-ebook/dp/B006X50OPW

That's a fantastic book to read where you are presented an insight in the minds of some of the most successful traders. One learns from those who successfully amassed wealth through trading different markets, not from clowns on social media no one ever heard of but pretend to be millionaire traders. Since when do millionaire traders want to sell you crap for $20?  Cheesy

I do not like what is in the book some beginners certainly do not understand reading a book if it is not practiced right, many in this forum have provided guidelines for trading with books but if you want to practice directly then I prefer watching YouTube tutorials there very complete being a beginner is easier to understand than reading a book.
If you want to trade it is better to do it yourself directly without being dependent on others.

I haven't read much books but I have seen a few good books out there. I've happened to chance upon A Beginner’s Guide To Day Trading Online and Mastering The Trade in my online searches but haven't really read much about it. It is good to rely on books, but it still limits everything that you could actually learn in forums and discussions, so imo, discussions plus experience are better. Plus, losing isn't really anything bad, it's actually experience. At least, you know whats the worst that could happen to you.

To be honest, I haven't read any books about trading, I learned about trading through videos is youtube, I watched quite a number of videos just to learn how trading and also learn different strategies that I can use and test myself if it works for me. In learning trading you can use books, articles or even videos it just depend on you if what works well for you in learning and in my case I preferred videos because I can see illustrations unlike books wherein you can't see a lot of illustrations.

Either books or e-books then those things are helpful but those are just good for terminologies and related stuff but for actual trade? No its not.

Even knowing the basics then you can start up in small amounts. You can learn up for yourself without strictly following those things written on the books.
Just let your intuition and decisions help you learn in the process.

Its your choice though if you would read up those things and i agree that it is way more better rather than tailing or joining up some shitty groups from nowhere.

which books have you read , how it is helping you
Earlier this year, I wanted to learn about technical analysis (TA), so I search for the best basic TA book out there. Found one: Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets by John J. Murphy. Even though it's written for the financial market, but as you may know that TA practically works for every market.

Sad thing is, I never got the time to read it lol. I ended up just reading a few pages about TA in babypips.com which already cover all the important basics. Now I don't think reading that book would give me a lot of value. More hands on experience, reading the market live is what I need most right now IMO.

This topic has popped up quite a few times since I've been a member of the forum, and I would suggest OP try searching the trading discussion section for "books" and he might find some of those threads.

I haven't read any "how-to" books on trading, but I'm very interested in books about finance and such, and one of the best ones on trading stocks was Reminiscences of a Stock Operator by Edwin Lefevre.  It's a very old book and it's fictionalized, but it gives a great account of Jesse Livermore who was a great stock trader who used charts and his own intuition to make millions.  And the book is a great read, too.

Another fantastic one that sort of deals with trading is When Genius Failed by Roger Lowenstein.  It shows the danger of using too much leverage, and that's an understatement given what almost happened when Long Term Capital Management went bust.

Also, pretty much any book by Roger Lowenstein is a good one.  I've read a few of them, and they were all really good.

They didn't read books, most of these guys learned it because they started in FOREX market, the indicators in stocks and forex still works in crypto which is why they already knew how to use it and have knowledge in economics. All they do learn from then was the trading system to use that fits to their personality. Traders learned from this page www.babypips.com/learn/forex

You read so many books, I didn't even have to read more than 3 books to learn how to trade, the more books you read, the more you will over complicate things with all these theories people throw at you. Also a waste of time and money to buy them all and read them. However, I really don't recommend any books except universal principles of successful trading because it has all you need. Sure, you can blame your inability to trade correctly on psychology or whatever you wish but if you have a solid trading plan before the day starts then you don't have a problem.

In fact, to be good at trading, you can't help but fail at the early stages. whether you take the thousand-dollar course or you read a lot of different books. because in my group there are more than 8 people who are traders and we all went through different learning experiences. As a result, we still lost a lot in the first year, then we learned from experience. So we should invest ourselves a small amount of capital to practice trading, do not read too much theory, practice to help you become more mature and better.

I read books just for descriptions and also for broader knowledge of definition of things about trading.
It is just like going to school, they teach about the meaning of this and that and you use it as you grow.

But in deciding what to believe in will be a problem.
There are a lot of speculators out there and they are trying so hard to be believe in which I think could go wrong for so many times. (because they are trying too hard)
So I guess when it comes to that deciding moment, it should all be yours. Not because someone told you this will happen.

what do you mean ebook, I learned trading through sites, blogs, and video tutorials, there is a lot of knowledge that I got from it, from what I learned there are no trading techniques that are 100% accurate, but it was enough to help me in trading.

I never read book in my country the book with trading/ investment topic really expensive. Since first time I learn trade/ invest direct on the field ( market ) and I have really experience about lost and profit in real condition. People can learn from any way they want, just never give up and find your skill in the best performance in the right way ( no bot no signal ).

I like the book "Trading in the zone", it is a book that talks about the psychology of a trader quite comprehensively. Most of the important factors are mentioned by the author. However, compared to the vast psychological field, Trading in the Zone is still not comprehensive.

Trading in the zone
Think and trade like a champion
trading for living
howard marks mastering the market cycle
Thinking fast and slow
now I am reading Little book that beats the market

which books have you read , how it is helping you
I've never really read one of those you've mentioned, OP.
But around the time when I was in a lost about trading, my friend gave me something to read, which was an e-book of how to become a beginner trader, I forgot the exact title, it's been years since then. But the content was mostly about how to trade, risks management, what to avoid and many more, well basically everything you need to know to get you started. Since then I like reading tons of articles whichever I find them interesting about trading to broaden my knowledge. It's also because I'm not a book person myself.

I might as well try one of those books you've mentioned, OP. It should be a good reference so that I could become a better trader.

I dont know why you are asking about a book about trading, we have gadget and we can access any sites of a blog and even here in the forum, we can learn a lot. You can simply watch video tutorials and read articles and I dont know why you still need a book.
Reading books about finance is great but it rarely happens to me now since I have a laptop and internet that easy to browse and search for what you are looking for.
