Project ask for your email and some don't regard adequate security or privacy for the details you registered with and that includes your email.
Many has been hacked, scammed or even black mailed once the detail of your email is exposed to the wrong once.
You can be careful with this by

1. Checking the link you get on your mail over and over before clicking. After seeing a link on your message box no martery if it was from a trusted source or not you are to double check on it before clicking it.

2. Avoid numerous unhelpful project. The more project the more the exposure to risk. keep your project limited to prevent it from being noticed by too many people and those with scam intentions.

3. Target your emails for specific purpose: if you must join projects with email you can know which emails you use for particular purpose example an email can be deployed for business some for family and friends and others can be for project and you can create them according to your lifestyle.

Your email can be attacked if carelessness sets in and you can be really exployted If this happens take the protection of your email with high regards

how to check links if using shortlink :

Most short link services also let you see the details (like destination) and stats of the link if you put a + at the end of the URL.

Ex:

Way simpler and easy. No need to download an extension or go to another website to do that.

I used to receive random emails ever before the crypto's popularity and I applied that principle until now. Those email signs up and redirect, you should never click any of them or input important information that you don't want to share.

Depending on what email provider you use, you never see any of these spam emails. When I used to use Gmail, I never received any of these emails in my main inbox. They were all marked as spam and I had to manually go there to see what kind of scams and princes were emailing me. A good thing about Gmail, which sadly don't overcome the cons of their privacy issues. But many other providers have a good spam control algorithm (and also are privacy-oriented).

Different emails login on the same device has the same risk of using the same email all the time so when someone interested in participating a lot of project bounties then go and get a shit of smartphone and login with a new email where never install any wallets.

I have a few e-mails, one is only available only to my closest friends and family, other for registering on different sites, and for non-trustworthy people, but I also have one e-mail for crypto-related things. Of course, that most spam is coming to my second and third e-mail, but I never click on them, and most go directly to a spam folder anyways.

It is easy to keep your e-mails safe, just use a strong password with alternating letters, numbers, and characters, and never use links for crypto exchanges, forums, or any social network from your e-mail - this is in most cases phishing links which will steal your password. Should I mention that using unique passwords is imperative, or do you want to risk having one hacked account compromise all others?

Be smart, hackers are trying to find weak targets, don't be one of them.

Any message i get from an unknown source I block the person to prevent further disturbance

Recently the most popular mail hijacking trick is receiving messages from popular exchanges that you can actually have accounts on and the message can say 'an unknown person login to your account a minute ago, if this is not you please change your password' do not fall for this, they will refer you to another website that looks almost the same with the original website and this fake website will ask for your old password and the new password, that's it, before you know it your fund it gone.

Old timer will not fall to this, they have the right site bookmarked and they are always check the url where they are going to land, this warning not only applies to Cryptocurrency investors but to all who uses a computer, but if you are an investor and you have the means try to get a premium metacert account, so every site that comes your way are check or get anti virus that checks and block sites that are not trusted or reported.

Everyday i recieve messages coming from unknown senders, but what i do is im not opening some messages from unknown contacts , i immediately delete them. There is one time i recieve an email.coming from an exchnage were my alts are being traded that my password is being change, and i nearly believe it i check the url its not the url of the exchange.

Most airdrops are no longer sincere but rather want to collect data from participants hoping for victims. Best thing is to create a separate email account for joining airdrops or bounties. And before you click or fill any link sent to you in your email, always confirm from the project official telegram groups to know if it's from them to avoid being phised

I have 2 email accounts, the main account for family and friends and to register for some exchanges where I keep my money. The main account is secured at the highest level and I never use the primary email to join any aridrop or bounty. I usually log out the main email from the device immediately after use.
The secondary email I used to sign up for bounty and exchanges where I don't hold money there.
However, regardless of whether it's a primary or secondary email, I minimize the amount of clicking on incoming links, if the links are from people I know carefully before clicking on them. If the link is coming from strange addresses I simply delete it.
