Anyone knows whats up with Coinex.pw? Now over 2 days in maintance mode and not really twitter news..just a "Security issue, investigating" since these two days on Twitter and no further explanation..

I wonder if the guys of Coinex will run away with the balances or what is happening..

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Strong suspicion that he absconded with the booty. I hope you didn't have much there.

Coinex when thru a long downtime months ago (5-7 days or something like that) with no info then either.  I'll stay optimistic and not dive into the FUD right yet.  Hey, and if my 300k Dogecoins take a walk?  Oh well...I knew the risk...  Smiley

UPDATE:
well, I take back my optimism. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=521142.0

He posted in another thread a few days ago. The site got hacked aperently. But coinex would replace all lost coins.
I think they will be offline until after the weekend or so.

"Coinex" sounds very closely to "Contex". That is not the best association

at first i used to think it was coins-ex.

but i quickly realised that was wrong when i searched coinsex on google lol.
a lot of stuff comes up, but nothing resembling an exchange lol

Super easy for these operators to up and run off then disappear. Makes it tough for authentic exchanges to get going

This is like a neverending story.

Get "hacked" + "dissapear"
