Hello I am the proud owner of twenty five 2014 Titan Mint gold coins (Warrior Version)

and twenty five 2016 Titan Mint gold coins (Lady Justice Version). Each coin is 1 troy ounce 99.9% pure gold. The coins are not currently loaded with bitcoin and the hologram on the back of the coins has been removed.

Tim the owner of Titan Mint and the creator of these coins has been kind enough to offer escrow services for this resale. He will confirm the coins authenticity and handle both the receipt of funds from those interested in purchasing them as well as mailing of the coins to the buyers. I am funding his escrow costs.

These gold coins can be purchased in two ways.

1) Gold coins only without bitcoin. These are for sale for $100 over spot gold price currently $1575 per coin plus shipping. These coins will not have a hologram on the back and they will not be loaded with bitcoin.

2) Restored coins. Tim the president of Titan Mint is willing to restore these coins and reload them with a new hologram and load a bitcoin onto them. Price for the restored coins will be $100 over spot gold + the BTC price currently $8173 per coin plus shipping. These restored coins will be loaded only with bitcoin and will not have any of the multiple fork coins BSV, BCH, ect that have branched off over the years.

Very few of these coins in gold were created. I am selling them now because I need to raise a fair amount of money for a business venture and this is the asset I own that is the most logical to liquidate. Any coins that are not sold by January 19th will be melted down to extract their gold melt value further increasing the rarity of any sold coins.

If you are interested in purchasing please inform Tim Fillmore the president of Titan Mint here:

tim@titanbtc.com.

Alternatively you can send him a PM his user name is TitanBTC
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=112605

Edit: The reload option was unpopular and is no longer being offered.

Edit #2: New orders are still being processed. Price remains spot gold at the time of payment + 100$ + shipping.

I agree 100%!!  This would completely devalue Titan IMO.  I would have ZERO interest in ALL Titan products if Tim actually does this!!  People need to use their f**king brain!!

The coins will be clearly loaded with bitcoin in 2020 not 2014. That may effect resale value compared to ones that have not been reloaded. They are beautiful coins. I think its better they get recirculated back into the community rather then melted down.

I anticipate most of these will get melted down due to a lack of demand in a general bear market for BTC which is ok as I just need to extract the gold value. However, I wanted to give the community a chance at them first if there is interest.

My profit is basically the same if these sell through escrow or just get melted them down for spot gold. However, I think its worthwhile to preserve a rare historic bitcoin collectable for the future however as there are very few of these coins out there and I would rather they find their way into the hands of collectors instead of being melted.

You don't need to argue the merit of whether this is proper or not. Just think, somewhere out there someone that works in a scam coin shop in China is watching the interaction here.. they make some of their gold plated/titan fakes and load them up with 2020 bitcoin. There are already many TitanBTC fakes out there, this would totally end the resale market for any of their coins.

Sorry for disrupting your sale, I will continue this in the TitanBTC thread. I think you should go with option 1 and leave it at that. Many people like to pick up gold at spot/just over around here.

I understand your concern.  To clarify, anyone purchasing the reloads of these coins are not getting "new mintage".  We are not increasing the number of coins in existence for these.

The reloads will retain the existing production number but are getting a new public/private key pair and a new certificate of authenticity. The reloads will show authenticity on the Titan website, just the same as the original.

These represent a significant percentage of the mintage for these two coins, which is why I am open to uniquely accommodating this sale.  The holograms' authenticity and their intact status is the primary security for these coins (I have yet to see a hologram replica of our coins).  These holograms will show the first digits of their public key, and still link to a page verifying they are authentic and linking to the blockchain transaction that funded them.

Because of the added security that comes with the extra layer of authenticity verification, I don't think this is actually leverage for fresh scammers to gain any advantage but I may not be fully understanding your perspective.

It would also be nice if Tim/Titan would update their website for the coins they have distributed. This is a cause of a good deal of frustration attempting to confirm a loaded value of a Titan coin, and date, then getting an error stating not found.

PM sent.  I'm open to hearing your opinion.  I just pasted some details on the process I'm considering above, as well, if that clarifies any of concerns.

If they are not laser etched with RE-FUNDED or NOT ORIGINAL, this is a terrible practice and would consider ALL your coins worth less than before.  I'd think long and hard before you actually go about about doing this...... someone bought the coins, they redeemed them.... that's part of history as well!  So many reasons this would be an absolute mistake!!

The 2017 Tenths for sure.... I'm guessing they would be the later funded ones.

I offered to reload these because they are so rare... and there simply aren't any for sale, anywhere, that I know of.   The idea was to generate new interest in these ultra rare collectibles, for the benefit of all current holders.  More interest means higher value in the secondary market.

This particular group of coins were sold direct and not made available to the public, so its even more interesting as it contains production numbers that were unavailable previously.

However, If the community agrees that they do not want the reloaded coins to be made available for the sake of maintaining the value of unpeeled coins in existence... I will offer these as peeled only, with no reload option.

If you're one of the buyers interested in the reloaded version, please chime in on the thread so we know you're here.

I hold some 2016 Titan Mint gold coins (Lady Justice Version). The COA states that there they are limited to 100. Are the 25 sold here numbered as part of the 100 and were they loaded and then redeemed? Asking as the thread states that the holo has been removed but not that they were loaded then redeemed. Just want to clarify that you purchased and weren’t a reseller for Titan....

Also I f they were numbered, then I presume Tim has the numbers and if sold loaded will issue the exact same numbers and not start at 101?

Hmmm

"RE-Pressing" coins.

Not sure I'm a fan tbh. Just feels a bit ... off.

In the world of Collecting, they will always be a 2nd rate item compared to the Original.
Is it worth it?

Thanks!

That total was the spot price of gold + the bitcoin price +$100 at the time. Earlier today the bitcoin price plus the gold spot price per oz + $100 was $8173. Tim is doing escrow and will get you an actual purchase price if you want one. The $8173 was just an example using the gold and bitcoin prices at the time I wrote the post.

These Lady Justice coins are actually from the first 50 minted. I flew down to California in late September of 2016 to pick them up in person right after they were struck.

I played a small role in encouraging Titan Mint to get these out when it did. I had seen the concept art and knew it would look great. I kept pestering Tim about it and paid upfront for 25 of them to encourage him to quickly bring his design to fruition.

Yes, agree that they turned out very nice. That’s why I bought and hold a few.

So the 25 you have were funded and came with a COA then?
