To be frank, crypto-disappearances are not likely, but if they really happen, they are triggered by a dead internet connection or the collapse of the electricity network. If such an occurrence is indeed, there is definitely no need to think about it. There's just a way back to waiting for power and internet maintenance. And we can use the crypto that we have as well. Even if actually crypto vanishes right now without any reason, it won't create a global crisis. Because the number of world residents with cryptocurrency is very small.

Some economies are now depending in blockchain technology, like what happene in Venezuela where they experienced hyper inflation because of the corruption in their government. Their currency have no value anymore that is why millions of their citizens fled into other countries. The blockchain technology is important for those economy experiencing crisis.

Cryptocurrencies have now important role in our society, there will be no disapperances that will happen because many institutions are now starting to adopt it due to its functions and advantages.

I think that if cryptocurrencies will not disappear until people create a better technology than Blockchain and if Blockchain is easily hacked with a certain technology and there is no way but to temporarily stop using them.  Without cryptocurrencies will create more jobs for everyone and the world economy on the macro will grow more slowly.

Cryptos are running on a blockchain and it's a secured network that even a disaster will come as long as the internet keeps on running, they will never be gone. Authorities have a capacity of at least partially control and manage crypto by the law, which is already imposing on companies verification of the users (including checking your source of income in some cases) and managing anti money laundering. As well in some countries, you cannot buy legally some cryptos using fiat (unless it is otc cash transaction with individuals).
But in many cases approach "why to ban it if you can tax it" is starting to prevail.

It is hard to stop crypto now, now that people know its value and importance in transacting online where no one controls it. But, for OP when crypto disappears, I think many cannot accept it and will give birth to another form of digital currency, We know that necessity is the mother of invention and many will try to find ways to have a solution like crypto.

The decentralized nature of crypto makes it more adoptable by the investors. Governments cannot take control of this market as they cannot keep track of the multiple transactions made by the vast population of investors in this market. Its development with time and addition of investors in the market is the proof of its value and strength. This is also its indication of a strong future and better future of people in crypto.
