Almost all the crypto currencies lost its value from all time high but this is not the real reason for people to hate! More and more new cryptos but everything turns into scam so people actually lost interest on new cryptos which also affects the price of old altcoins and also the trend of crypto price market.

Everyone should only invest in top altcoins if you plan on holding for long term, most new altcoins are good for short term holding, once they surge in value just sell off and move the money into another old altcoin unless the new altcoin delivers something entirely very new and promising, too many repetitive projects nowadays

And I admire the way you think OP, I also believe in altcoins (of course those legit only) and I will only stop believing when BTC had its new ATH and they still remain worthless, with that I can accept that there is no chance anymore.

If we are holding those potential altcoins, it is absolutely nothing wrong but we are having those dead coins, it is just a waste of time.
Yes, it is obvious that we are focusing on Bitcoin right now and we neglect any chances that may altcoins have in the future.
Some altcoins still at good price, not really big as what it showed last 2017 but I believe that we could still be profitable of having these altcoins.

So I don't know how you can say that they're doing fine, still way below their ATH, 80%-90% down. I would understand though that this is a good opportunity to buy cheap altcoins and look for the look term prospect of getting a huge return when the price reaches their ATH again.

I have many erc20 tokens that I got from the bounty campaign and hope that when bitcoin goes up altcoin will follow the price. I know now most of the erc20 tokens are dead because long bear market but I am still waiting for everything to come back.

Of course, nothing is wrong with the top ten altcoins, the problems lies on those shitcoins and tokens that are being used for pump and dump scheme. Remember that almost all altcoin have bitcoin pairings so obviously they will be affected as well.

And then there are altcoins investors who decided to shift to bitcoin for now because of the current state of the altcoin market. And that is how crypto market works, people juggling around and put there money where it has a greater chance to profit which is bitcoin.

I understand that most altcoins don't have any good value that makes it not reallt worth it for investment, but there are still altcoins that are worth for investment like the top 10 altcoins in the market such as ETH, BNB, LTC, XRP, etc, and i hold some of these coins because they are good for trading and it still gives me a good proft, even they do not have a good price today.

altcoin that does not have a product and a large community, so they cannot survive, this is like a natural law, they are not able to adapt, so thrown out of battle. so when bitcoin rises, they are unable to follow it, due to the lack of trust from investors

I think when investing., you need to put emotions aside and focus on the business aspect

Altcoins like Ethereum, Litecoins and all reputable and coins that have real use case will increase price when Bitcoin price back again in 20,000$.
And many on the top altcoins are lose its value now when bitcoin increase price increase before.  Like ethereum that trading now in 120$ to 150$ unlike before that price is 500$ to 1,000$ .

The truth is that the last 2 years were a disaster for the altcoin investors.
Somehow the average altcoin investment seems to have a short period of profitability. And I talk here about the few honest coins.
They have been falling a lot, and not only compared with fiat, also compared with Bitcoin.

On the other hand some have risen quite a lot against bitcoin over time too, don't forget that. And that may happen again at least for a small number of altcoins. And if that'll happen some people that currently may be seen as bagholders... may become rich investors.

All in all, each altcoin investor should know (should have known!) that altcoins are riskier than bitcoin. The current state of things shows exactly how much riskier they are.

It is still difficult to wait for the ERC20 token to bounce back like 2017 even I have a few old ERC20 tokens until there is no price until now.
so don't expect too much from the ERC20 token for a long time except for the top altcoin, I don't think this will be shitcoin in the future.

Those altcoins that have lost value in this bear market are the ones who have no usecase and real users on their platform. I must say that it is built on hype and promises,its impossible for them to say for a few more years. Pick the altcoins who have a real usecase that can be used by real users.

Are you sure BNB is doing fine?  After its ATH of around $40  it goes down to $13.  Many investors thinking that BNB is doing well had lost a lot after the hype of this coin is over.  

And I think there is something wrong if an altcoin that caters fund from crowdfunding started to lose value from its original ICO price.

They are not doing fine and if you make comparison about how much those altcoins are getting lose from the ATH and then altcoin will be getting more percentages.
What makes us get more guarantee if they are popular coin and they have big name among the crypto users. Maybe you are saying if you are feeling fine right now if you are even getting a loss on those coins but not for those people who have bought those coins at ATH.
Some of them even feel depressed caused by that.

Actually the real issue is with market as when the market crashed then bitcoin along with all altcoins dropped down but now the market is growing and when the price will reach to $20k then all of the altcoins will start to rise. You may remember that when the price reached to $20k in 2017 then even the crap altcoins increased its value. The same will happen again. So if you have any coin just hold them and wait for the good market.
