Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I'll give you $300.  Grin

That being said, the only thing that would make them possibly worth any more than $20 each is if you have any unique serial numbers or star notes.
Sometimes those will sell for a bit more than face, but they have to be pretty rare numbers to be worth anything.

The first one is an 888 so I might keep that one but I suppose I'll just give the rest of them to the bank.. Their is also a 44 and 55 in there..
I wonder if the ATM deposit will even take them..

If you hang on to them for a few years they might be worth something. As is right now, just an interesting thing to show kids what $20 used to look like. Maybe hang onto the more crisp ones and spend the rest.
