Important: Electrumx Server Upgrade Notice

We will update the official ElectrumX servers at 15:00 UTC, on Saturday, Sept. 5. The update will last about two to three hours. During this time, the servers will be unavailable and the mobile wallet cannot be used. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This server upgrade will significantly improve the performance of mobile wallets, especially for data reading and writing. A new version of the mobile wallet will be released after the upgrade to take advantage of the performance feature of the servers.

If you run your own server, please download the latest ElectrumX server code and upgrade your server as soon as possible:

iOS KevaWallet 6.5.2 Available on App Store

iOS KevaWallet 6.5.2 is live on Apple App Store. Upgrade to this version (6.5.2) is strongly recommended for all iOS KevaWallet users, as it addresses a critical issue ("Error writing saving keys") when the number of transactions exceeds a certain limit.

This release also brings the feature set of iOS on par with the Android one. You will now be able to access the Keva blockchain database from the iOS mobile app. You can post, reply, and reward other posts.

Since this is a major upgrade, please make sure to backup your wallet before upgrading.

Keva and IPFS on Mobile Devices

You can write your blogs in plain text or HTML, and you can insert pictures and videos. However, the pictures and the videos must be hosted on a server somewhere, and you have to insert the HTTP links. It is not an ideal decentralized solution and we are working on a solution that will allow you to upload your pictures and videos to IPFS from your mobile device. Integrating IPFS in a mobile app is an interesting challenge. The major problem is that mobile apps cannot have constant network connection (otherwise the battery will quickly drain), and reliable network connection (WIFI vs cellular data). Because of this, after you upload an image or video to IPFS, other people may not be able to access the file if your mobile app is not connected to the internet. Running an IPFS peer on a mobile device will also have performance issues. An IPFS peer opens many connections to other peers and requires large network bandwidth and CPU cycles, which may not be suitable for a mobile device.

It is the real deal  they are the mainnet KVA coins. You can simply download the Android or iOS mobile app to quickly get an address. With the KVA, you can read and write to the mainnet blockchain database from your mobile devices.

New features in this release:

1. The keva_put command has a new option to transfer the namespace to an address:

   The above command puts a_value to a_key and at the same time, transfers the namespace to the address VXv2qSNoVKcwZLPxf28z92VvBfERbFx3Kq. The address can be any valid address, it can be your address in a different wallet (e.g. mobile wallet), or other people's address. If the new address is in a different wallet than your current one, you will no longer be able to modify the namespace from your current wallet.

2. The desktop GUI wallet now displays correctly the download progress (in percentage) and the estimate of the remaining time for the download to complete.

During this release, we also ran static analysis tools on the source code and fixed the found issues and warnings.
