It took a lot of time to reach this rank so I could not know what the random number of activities needed to reach this rank.
I can say that it is less than 910 and more than 755, but what exactly is the number?

@Blacknavy has not reached his required activity level for legendary, the minimum limit is 755 and maximum 1000 activiy and he can level up anytime between this and yes this is set by the system itself randomly when you create the account.

It's beneficial only for users who have a goal to achieve on the forum, getting to legendary takes a lot of effort and hardwork. It's satisfying alone to know you put in work and got there, earning one thousand merits and surpassing the required activities is a good feat anyone sensible should definitely be proud of.

Congratulation champ @hugeblack, well deserve achievement. Lucky you that, you don't have to wait as long as other would irrespective of getting the required merit for the legendary rank.

For starters, you get a half dark blue star that's only assigned to users with that rank on your profile. You get some special privileges like higher pay in regards to signature or bounty participation and get a sense of fulfilment that's if your deserve has always been to rank up to the highest rank possible which is legendary. All I'm trying to say is, it feels good to complete a task and with achieving the legendary status, you can boldly say you just did that 😁.

You can’t really tell which is your exact activity magic number, and even less if you reached your Activity requirement before Merit requirement. Nevertheless, there are two infallible methods:

One is to find out what the forum’s secretSeed is (used to derive all personal Activity magic numbers):

The required activity level per user is suitably random for betting, but anyone who can read my code (there are a few such people) will be able to exactly predict when someone will become Legendary, so I don't really recommend it.

note: In order to see the code, I had to change 'concat' for 'concatenate'. Follow the link to @theymos' post to see original code (Cloudflare is blocking my post if I use  'concat').

The second is to ask @theymos to reveal your Activity magic number (I’ve seen some posts here where he has done it).

The code in @theymos' post basically adds your userId to the forum’s secretSeed, performs a Sha1 over them, and then converts the first two characters returned from hex to decimal, adding the result to 775 (thus the 775-1030 range).

As well as the activity threshold, you also need 1000 merit now to become Legendary - not that I'm likely to ever get there!
I think this is better than the purely activity-based rank. If someone is really legendary, then they are well-known for excellent post quality, so the merit requirement is entirely fitting.

I don’t know why the posts seemed to be off-topic, so maybe I didn't explain the idea.
I became a legendary member and wanted to know when that happened. It took me some time to collect the required Merits which made me not know the activity number that made me legendary (from 775 to 910.)

The second is to ask @theymos to reveal your Activity magic number (I’ve seen some posts here where he has done it).

This is my goal, I don't know whether @theymos is the only one who can answer, or is @Cyrus, Global Moderators, able to answer?
