It is not completely true that 90% of the projects were fraudulent.
It is true that they have failed and have lost their value, but most of them have collapsed both because of the general distrust of the market in altcoins (even good projects have lost) but above all due to the inability of managers.

lets talk about 2017/18. You will not be able to list even 100 active projects among thousands of projects. Even scam and shit coins were being traded at insane rate. Only hype was driving the market. Check exchanges like yobit and hitbtc, you will see. Even I sold some coins/tokens (will not mention the name) at 1 buck and all of them are now at less than 1 cent ! They are gone. Airdrop bounties were enough to make good passive income. Yes, some good projects were there too and they failed.

It seems to me that the new fundraising model that everyone knows as IEO is quite acceptable to investors.Personally, I completely refused to invest in ICOs and now I always invest only in IEO. It is better models not to wait in 2020.

Even IEOs are also dead right now. The token offering model that can be trusted just like IEO that runs on major exchange site because the team will be doing verification to avoid if such project created by the fake accounts or scammer. But this is just the only way to get the token offering project that can be trusted by us.
So many scammers these days, only less than 5% from icos percentage right now that can be trusted.

I personally don't believe that ICOs and IEOs will experience a revival in 2020, after all, far too many people have had their hands burned in the last two years. These crowdfunding methods simply won't work anymore.

Exactly. People have learned and are not willing anymore to try these out and this is what everyone is waiting for 2020. I think if there will be a new kind of crowdfunding it will be difficult for them to reach their target sale and amount of collection. It's wise for investors just to stick to their plans of buying and holding reliable coins like bitcoin rather than investing into these crowdfunding where promises will remain as promises.

While in the traditional and usual investing technique of buying and selling or holding coins, it's more reliable to everyone that doesn't want to get into this unsure investing to stay into that method.

I think investors today prefer to play it safe or don't want to invest in new projects that make sweet promises about what they will do and what will be gained by those who participate in the project. I personally also for the time being would prefer to invest into bitcoin or other top coins because if I look at this lately the new project only ends in failure so for that I prefer to invest into the top coins.

Safe or don't invest, yes that's one thing for sure to the investors. They have played the part already of testing the market of these crowd funding and the ones that became successful understands the market now that it is not the same anymore and it's more likely to go down, actually it's really going down and bound to be gone.

Being safe is being wise by investing to the known coins of the mass like bitcoin. There's really no need to worry if you're investing to it but be sure to be aware of volatility.

Nice statement but youre eating youre message. BMY is conducting an IEO right now, so its hypocrite to say that IEO too is going down. So youre joining in signature campaign would be wasted too? Crowdfunding of any kind should be stopped in my opinion, and they should just rely on angel investors or private sales, on private sales they will be facing their potential investors, and they should just list their coins in the market first and set up their platform before they invite the public to invest, but no public crowdfunding anymore.

I don't think ICO is dead nowadays, I believe there are few of them that are legit, just research the project. The IEO seems slower now because of many scams. Well the only way to prevent from scam project is to research it.

Low exchange site will have low qualification for a new platform to launch its IEO with low quality. As you said that if major will always become (i think it's a must) the best choice.

Agree with you, IEO is really not good and it makes a lot of people lose money when investing in it. In this market there are only a few leading exchanges that implement IEO to make investors profitable, but not everyone can participate in those IEOs. I don't like the way IEO works, and so far major exchanges have suspended IEO because of market conditions. In the future I hope to have something that can replace IEO, something that can guarantee investors not to lose too much

IEO is the current trend in terms of offering new projects and coins in the cryptocurrency market and I find it good because it offers convenience to the investors and traders because it is already in the exchange so there is nothing to worry about except the plan for the price entry and what price are you willing to sell. Everything will be back once the market will recover but right now IEO is more popular compare to the old fund raising techniques like ICO and STO.

It's pretty difficult to distinguish right now the trusted offering model as most of the model are made just to earn money and not made to serve the customers and investors unlike in the past peak season. What I am looking is whether there is another offering model that will pop up once IEO will become obsolete.
