< snip .. >

In addition, the market is still fairly young, ten years of age so we can't really compare them to let say gold or stock market because they have been in existence for many years.

Everyone has its intention here, so obviously this kind of article is another click-bait and to really fit someone's narrative, they have to come up with every reasoning in the book. So for me they can't really be compare, each market is very different, each has it's set of investors and shills.  Wink

The stock market is completely different compared to the crypto market period. We don't need to add the age of the crypto market since it is completely irrelevant, there will be no connection that once it add in a few decades of its existence it doesn't mean it will change a thing on the way it moves or the way it will perform. Still it will depend on external factors such as laws and regulation as well as demand it will in the future. Oh and another thing is some investors in the stock market are also trading/hodling crypto assets just like me and it really depends on the person you are asking on what their views are on both markets.

It was really an amazing journey for bitcoin from the time it was created until now. Bitcoin already proved us what it can do through those years, and even dominating the crypto market. Today is the last day of the year 2019 and we're going for another year with bitcoin. 2020 may not become the best year for bitcoin, but I believe that the coming year will be a good year for us.

Bitcoin has been named the best performing asset of the last ten years. A $1 investment at the start of the decade would have returned a colossal $90,000 if sold today.

The Bitcoin network was launched on January 3, 2009. On January 1, 2010, it had existed for a little under a year.

At that time, Bitcoin didn’t have a monetary value since no trading venues existed and there hadn’t been any real purchases with the digital asset to define its price.

Bitcoin was indeed dominating over other cryptocurrencies since the day it was born. It is why I think that in the next decade, there's a good chance that they will dominate once again because of the massive adoption of institutions, banks, etc., than any other cryptos out there.

I still regretted when I ignored Bitcoin years ago. You know how that feels, right? I mean, it's my fault that I didn't believe in Bitcoin because I didn't understand everything back then until I'm starting to get serious about it in 2017.

Hands down to Bitcoin as it outperforms any other asset like no other.
Well everything will depend to the demand and if the demand of bitcoin will continue to surge then 2020 will be the same story.

Bitcoin is indeed performed a very unique launch that starts from almost nothing to thousands of dollars value right now. And if 2017 will rehappen this coming 2020 then it is very interesting follow.

It is true! Bitcoin is the most valuable asset on the digital market. I myself regretted not knowing bitcoin earlier. If I joined the day from the beginning I would now become a good bitcoin investor. Although my investment sometimes succeeds, sometimes fails, I still trust bitcoin. 2019 was the year I had the most failures. Hopefully in 2020 I will tell you about my success story.

It did not really outperform anything in 2018 and if we relate the price to the ATH it also did not outperform in 2019. To be honest Bitcoin looked really overpriced ad 20 thousand and it again did look like that above 10 thousand this year. I feel like the real value is somewhere close to 6000 at this moment and we'll keep moving between 6 and 10 for the large part of 2020.

If I'm right there won't be any outperforming because we have just fell from a higher level that we'll rich again if we get lucky this year. If we won't it's going to be slow and steady rise until another rally, maybe in 2021.

That's a good question. I think that Bitcoin will definitely not bring such high profits to investors as in the previous decade, but it is likely to continue to grow in price and thus bring some profits. So then it depends on whether something more profitable appears or not, not really on Bitcoin. And I sort of hope that in the 20s Bitcoin will stop being a profitable asset and start being a rather stable currency that can be used to pay for basic stuff like food, rent, transportation. I also hope that more govs will recognize Bitcoin as legal tender rather than property/asset/security, and thus will not impose heavy taxation of transactions. It's been only two days, so it's clearly early to say, we'll see.

I'm a bit bearish for this year because of how much hype there is in the mainstream media and the price is not reflecting it. This seems to be a completely normal reaction from Bitcoin because when the media get bullish and all the newbies keep saying they have to invest because the next halving bull run is coming it's a sign for experienced investors to short.

Man, you don't have to regret. It is not your fault though. That is not your responsibility to look what bitcoin is years ago. Just be thankful that at least you knew it now rather than not, that would be way much more painful. Many people has the same experience, even I. I knew a bit about bitcoin back then but I chose not to study more of it as I have much bigger responsibilities, till someone introduced me more to what really bitcoin is. Well, it is quite regretful but I knew myself that I have to do my responsibilities back then. I am just thankful that at least I knew about it, rather than totally not.

Nobody expected that this will happen to Bitcoin and crypto in general so no regrets must be felt here. Even me I don't feel any regret at this moment. I started learning crypto in the midst of the parabolic rise of Bitcoin last 2017 and I didn't know anything about it. You ignoring Bitcoin isn't regretful since you don't know what can happen to it in the future right Cheesy.

Well regarding to Bitcoin becoming the best asset of the decade, it became the best performing asset because of:
- its technology which is one of a kind (blockchain and cryptography)
- early investor which trusted Satoshi and Bitcoin.
- price volatility (if Bitcoin isn't volatile, it will not reach what it has reached right now).

Now we are in a new decade, I don't think that it will be the same story as last decade unless more and more investors will invest on Bitcoin making its price higher that where it is right now.

Bitcoin dominated other cryptocurrency,  making it the most attractive cryptocurrency for investors.  It has yielded good turnover for HODLers and day traders.
I do regret not buying bitcoin when the price was much affordable for me.
Ignoring bitcoin is regrettable,  therefore I can see that in all your getting, get bitcoin. It has proven itself in several season.
