First thing in mind on what you gonna face is "Volatility" itself.This crypto market isnt really that the same on what we saw on Forex/Stocks trading.
Hacking/Scams, FOMO/FUDS are only next in line.If your just new or recently jumped to this market then get yourself prepared in dealing with it.

Scams are surprisingly a huge problem for a lot of people new to cryptocurrency in general, not just with traders or investors. Most people don't seem to think enough about where their money's going or notice common red flags that signal something's a scam in crypto, but to be fair most people on these forums have been using or interacting with cryptocurrencies in one way or another for years. General and regular problem is a lack of profit or nonexistence of it and huge boost in loses. During investing you mean bitcoin yeah? And in bitcoin at the moment I would call investor to those people who create bitcoin related business like bitpay, bitfury and similar ones, I wouldn't call an investor to a person who just bought 0.001 bitcoin or collected that via faucet. Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies carry high risk if you mean holding or on another hand - hodling. But high risk = high reward/loss.
Problem for traders is that they can't safely store their bitcoin on exchanges, at first: 1. not your wallet - not your bitcoins and 2. exchanges are hacked pretty often.

-If people are hodling funds, basically and obviously, stored and keep it on a wallet on your "OWN". Security now lies within your hands. Do research if people are not that familiar with security recommendations.
-If people are trading, a good and common practice is to just deal in a reputable exchange. Not an assurance that our funds will be safe there but at least we are minimizing the risks of being sh*t by other exchange.

Scammers and Hackers
-they are always there and already a part of the system. Instead of hoping that someday they will be gone, as it was impossible, learn to avoid them. Learn to be vigilant as always in the world of crypto or basically, every time you lurk at the world wide web.

Volatility
-play with it

The bottom line, once we put money on something, managed it properly and seriously along the way.

Trading, investing or having savings is not a joke. Always put a serious approach on this.

there are many problems faced by traders, investment certainly can not be separated from the risks, every trader has a different problem, for example the absence of a complete indicator, the presence of fake volume, and many other problems, but the most common problem is risk management, mental psychology too scared or too greedy.

Before those problems, the issue that traders have to first understand would be they themselves. Understanding that investment is money lost already, investment is not for the greedy, stuff like that. Third party reasons like Hacking and Scamming can be resolved with third party means so It's pretty easy to understand how they occur and how they would be fixed. Other than psychological problems like greed, there's also the issue of not being able to DYOR. They see trading as putting in money and earning money, when there's a lot more issues and complications involved, especially since we are looking for the best possible way to earn profit.

Well, the digital market is fairly new, so High Risk is fairly understandable, but with High Risks comes with High rewards right? So it's just based on whether your willing to take the risk or not.

Most common would be Security, Scams and such. If you believe in yourself as a trader and has had the basics down since the beginning, you're basically left with the other problems out of you. Samples are when Exchanges have data leaks, you have no control over that, and can't really do anything about it. There are also issues such as believing in FUD or FOMO, which are fearful things tbh, since you never really know what would happen since it hasn't happened yet. Though these issues can be solved with a bit of DYOR and analysis though, which pretty much makes up the entire trader life one has.

1) Choosing wrong exchanges to begin with - Most of the beginners not sure about where to trade so they used google and end up got scam,google itself showing lot of fake exchanges when we search for best crypto exchanges so better take suggestion from someone they might know who is related to cryptos with help them a lot.

2) Buying coin and keep them on the exchange itself - every centralized exchange is in the risk of getting hacked.

3) Getting attracted by fake trading volumes on exchanges.

The challenge is how to survive, many people came with knowledge and fund but only few of them can survive. General issue ( mostly ) about security, nothing save but we should take care our asset from hacker. Second problem is volume, low volume will make all strategy fail. Last problem is can't control emotion, in this part most people fail. Even you have perfect strategy won't running well if the player can't control emotion. Problem always there and we should take wise step to minimize risk, good luck for all trader and investor.

These problems should be consideration at the first place, these problems is difficult to eradicate, traders/investors should do their own research.

Main issues for now maybe too many tokens that come out, although some markets already strict to make that tokens listed in their site, maybe money circulation really spreaded a lot if compared with past that usually some big exchanges really have big volume trading. Beside of that, people who lose in new kind of investment like token sale, usually not get back to trading anymore.

I agree with what @dunfida says about the volatility that will be the general issues for traders or investors every day. We already saw that the price is always changed, sometimes the price is at a high price, but in the next hours, the price is down too deep, so we don't know what will happen later with the crypto market. But we can anticipate or prevent the worst situation by analyzing the market, and although we cannot get accurate analyzing, at least, we can know what we need to do if the price moves to one range of the price. We can decide how to take the benefits from the situations so we can still survive in a hard time.

Happy new year to you too, in my opinion I think the main problems comes from the exchange themselves. Issues like hacking aren't much of an avoided incident since the exchange don't have much of a control to avoid such incidents from occuring but when it comes to token/coins listing, that area the exchange has totally control on listing only quality and legitimate projects to minimize the risk associated with investing or trading cryptocurrency since scam projects are the main cause of loss in the industry.

The fake project listing issue can also be categories under the security problem you mentioned so as hack etc. If the exchanges could focus more on eliminating the problem they have control over or minimizing the rate at which such problem cause their customers to loss their funds then the experience associated with investing or trading cryptocurrency will improve and probably draw in more enthusiasts (Investors, traders).

For me, high risk is not a problem in every trader, because of course all trades have risks, it depends only on what we want to choose. The main problem now is security, hacking, scam, well that is the big problem now. If we look back 2 years, the condition of crypto is declining so fast, and this is caused by various aspects indeed but the biggest aspects are on the 3 things above.

Undeniably accurate, it's just that even if you keep on making them aware regarding scam issues some of them still chooses to disregard it due to the fact that they wanted to earn easily which means less hassle. There are a lot of scams these days which makes everything difficult particularly when you are looking forward to make investment, you have to consider a lot of things to make sure that your money will be secured from scammers. It is a problem that is kind of hard to resolve because scammers these days will always look for some ways to deceive us so they can get the benefits they wanted. Sometimes we should also look into ourselves as well on our mistakes because we decided to be in that kind of situation since we are not being cautious.

Yeah high risk is not a problem since it is a twin of tradings since we got a huge chances to lose for single wrong movement we do and to avoid such losses or maybe to minimize it maybe it's best to select the best platform to trade and learn the possible best entries together with chart reading since for this doings or methods we can minimize the risk to lose our money, History is really helpful and we can use that to gather data and to win in the present time.
