Hi all,

A few of us have been working on a survey site that pays users in Bitcoin (https://btcsurveys.com). You take a 2 - 15 minute survey and earn anywhere from $.02 in BTC to $3 in BTC per survey completion. We've been testing it with a small group and are ready to begin sharing it with others, still seeking feedback.

How it Works
We match you with brands who want to hear from people like you (i.e. Tesla wants to know what Europeans think of Cybertruck, and they'll pay you $1 to hear your thoughts). When you complete a survey, we get paid in USD, and we credit your account with a near equal amount of Bitcoin, minus our small profit margin.

Upcoming Features

• A referral program that gives you a share of your friends' earnings
• More work on registration/login (reset password, a welcome email, etc.)
• Better design for mobile devices and small laptops

How do we make money?
We take a small cut on top of the survey payout owed to you. For example, if a survey pays us $1, you might receive $.95. This profit margin fluctuates as Bitcoin's price fluctuates too.

Other quick notes

• Our surveys are available to users in 53 different countries
• The flat-rate .00002900 BTC withdrawal fee is to cover the transaction fee
• There are no minimum withdrawals as long as you can cover the withdrawal fee
• In America, earnings can be as high as $8 - $10 per hour of survey taking. Earnings vary by country though.

Can you have an anonymous survey option?

By that, I mean either no registration required or the user only need to submit their e-mail and then fill the survey without registration. I was on my way to try this service but then the registration makes me stop. Just in case the registration happens because you need to filter out bot or abuse, you use an IP filter or something similar.

Ah that's interesting, accounts are easiest so users can keep coming back and we can track how much users have earned. There are definitely ways around that (like logging IPs), but those solutions of course have some major limitations as well.

The best thing would be to register with a throwaway email address. We don't yet send email confirmations on withdrawals (we will eventually, just not yet), so you won't need to provide us with your personal email.

Ok I have logged in with a new account and completed 2 surveys to earn
1050 satoshi's. Both surveys only ask Age, Location, Earnings bracket
and children in household.

According to the advertised amount of satoshi's to be earned on the first
survey it was around 20,000 satoshi's ?

I know from before that "The Ambia Fund" had taken over the running,
development and launch of Belacam and there are surveys available

Can you confirm that there would be surveys available every day ?

The surveys you completed aren't surveys per se. It's the basic questions about you to know you better and to build a profile, so the provider can send you relevant surveys. They all do that.

The satoshis credited, it's like a gift for the information you gave. And yes, you can almost be sure to see surveys available every day but it depends a lot on your location and profile

Ah OK, I get it.

I have a vague recolection of doing something like this in
the past but it turned out that I wasnt getting that many
surveys to complete, maybe it was my age and/or location.

I dont know why but I feel a profile pertaining to a younger
age group in an urban location with a gandfull of kids might
yeild a better match for surveys compared to an older person
living alone in a rural location.

Well, that's a good alternative, but still a dealbreaker for me. But at least it's better than registering and then wait for confirmation.

Rate per survey is considerable though but all surveys for this day had been eaten.

Nice work! If surveys are available in your country (53 eligible countries), there should be new surveys every hour. If you don't hit the "Someone Ate all the Surveys" message, you can refresh the page every 30 minutes or hour to see a bunch of new surveys.

Glad everyone has enjoyed it so far! It depends on your style, but my favorite way to take surveys is by working in only 15 minute bursts on only the most profitable surveys. After that, I'll check back in an hour and take the top three most profitable ones available then. Rinse and repeat!

Here's a list of the 53 available countries. If you aren't from one of these countries, you'll see a message on our site that says "Surveys are not available in your location," and since you have the 'no surveys available today" error, you will get more surveys if you check back! We also run Belacam.com, so that's why support for BTCsurveys.com links to Belacam's support. As BTCsurveys grows, we'll of course spin up a dedicated support site for it, separate from Belacam.

Awesome! Surveys can be about almost anything, but here are some common themes:

• Packaging: a sports drink company wants to see which label people like the most
• New products: A chain restaurant wants to make sure their new menu items are marketed and priced properly
• Politics: political polling conducted in your local area
• Business: surveys about your work habits at your company (which software you use, etc.)

I did some testing to see if I can bypass that error from an unsupported country and I was able to do it successfully/easily with typing a valid postal code of one of the available countries + using a VPN to trick the system that I'm from that country ^{[you might want to implement a system that detects such actions]}...
^{- Take note: I'm not interested in withdrawing the few Satoshis that I've already earned.}

Other notes:

• Some of the surveys automatically rewarded me without me taking the surveys ^{[perhaps it's a back-end error]}.
• Few surveys showed an error ^[mid-way] that the survey is no longer available after taking them.

Yeah, there's plenty of development left to do, including some towards protecting against VPNs. Users with VPNs generally make it through the early checks but are often weeded out part-way through a survey. We do give small rewards for partial completions (it's not fair if you spent 5 minutes taking a survey, only to get weeded out at the end and left with nothing), so I suppose VPN users are able to get those partial rewards. It is time consuming to chase after only partial rewards with a VPN, so we haven't seen VPN users stick around for long.

my dashboard, I logged out to log back in and cannot remember my password
and I dont see a "reset password" or "Forgot your password" link?

My country is on the list (not USA) but when I enter the zip code gives this error "We cannot locate that postal code. We have surveys available in United States so please enter a postal code near your location.". It only knows US zip codes ?
I use Opera browser with built-in VPN and currently on a European IP.
Any suggestions ?

Unfortunately, we don't yet have the Reset Password feature up. It's one of the ones next on the list! Passwords are salted and hashed, so I can't see your password, but if you private message me, I can change it to a new one and tell you the new one. Just until we can get the reset password feature built.

I'm sorry about that, you're the first user to run in to such a problem (and report it to us at least!). Here are some things to try:

• If your zip code has two parts, try entering only the first part or only the second part.
• If your zip code has letters, try omitting the letters and entering the numbers only.
• If that still doesn't work, just try "12345." Hopefully our system can still show surveys without a zip code that matches your country. In this case, 12345 would just be a filler zip code.

Does this mean your client is fine with it? I mean, it literally sounds like a 'fake' user details and will probably unreliable for some data that they're looking for, such as lifestyle, demography, etc.
