Hello everyone from Wooly!

This is our first news digest. That’s cool, because we have a lot of good ones:

1. Wooly now runs on its own WoolyPooly engine. It does not sound like a Porsche opposite, but now the listing process and pool in general have become much faster.

2. Cortex coin has been added to the pool. This is an Asian project, which (here should be a description of what tasks Cortex solves for peace in the whole world, but let’s be honest — nobody cares) is added on the top exchanges — Binance, Okex, Huobi, Bittrex, has good volumes, stable price, light wallet (made for smartphones so we mine it directly on exchange) and “cold” Cuckoo Cycle algorithm.

According to our forecasts, this is one of the most profitable coins today, higher than WTM top coins. Unfortunately, it ‘s mined only with cards from 8GB on Win 7 or Linux and from 11GB on Win 7/10 or Linux.

Only our Cortex pool supports vardiff.

3. AION pool code has been completely rewritten, or better to say it is written from scratch. With all respect to the AION project, their POW code part is not so good as it should be. Unfortunately improvements we made has not affected the number of orphans, but we still claim that we are the best AION pool.

4. Now we have a group of testers. In fact, this is one of the most important part for us. We greatly appreciate your support and we are very pleased when you respond on our help requests. In close future, we will definitely decide how to encourage you but be sure — you’ve made a great contribution to the development of the WoolyPooly project.

5. Added support chat to the pool site. If something doesn’t work out and you need support (including moral support) — write us, in most cases we respond promptly.

I am mining on WoolyPooly since fall 2019 (Sero and Cortex) and I must say that I like this pool.

Even if it is relatively new and not yet that popular amongst miners, I gave it a chance and was not dissapointed until now.

There were no technical issues so far which would lead me to change over to another pool and never come back.

Mining revenue is not worse compared to other pools, everybody is welcome to put their rigs on and check it out themselves

The staff is very nice and supportive and listens to input from miners. So you are able to discuss your results, bring own ideas in and you will be listened to.

This is different compared to other pools, which does not even have a support channel on discord or telegram at all.

The pool's page is maybe not what you know from 2Miners, but it is written from the scratch and still evolving (which means that sometimes some hickups may occur, but hey, who is perfect today, funds are all the time safe, so don't worry).

In case you see any fields of improvement you are free to put comments / wishes here or on discord, so everybody has a chance to bring their ideas and in this way a very nice GUI, everybody is liking, could be build.

When few days ago I struggled with one payment transaction from pool, which caused a missing balance on the exchange, I contacted the exchange staff as well as the one from the pool.

Until now, I haven't seen any response from the exchange so far. Pool staff reacted immediately and refunded me the coins from their own balance.

That's what I call an excellent customer service.

Hello there, this is our second News Digest.

Many times you expressed dissatisfaction about our pool’s frontend (how pool looks like, stats info etc) and your comments were more than appropriate. Each time we promised that in April we will stop all listings and spend all our time on front. Today is 27th April and we are proud to present the new face of WoolyPooly.com.
I specifically recorded a mobile website version video, b̶e̶c̶a̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶I̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶’̶t̶ ̶k̶n̶o̶w̶ ̶h̶o̶w̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶r̶e̶c̶o̶r̶d̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶a̶ ̶P̶C̶ ̶s̶c̶r̶e̶e̶n̶ so that you can see how cool it is. Absolutely all information is available in a few clicks and everything works like a charm. Update is HUUUGE. What we’ve done...

1. Dark / night theme, many of you already use it by default.
2. This info has been added to each coin page:
- current effort
- blocks chart with information on luck, orphans and uncles for 64, 128, 256, 512 and 1024 blocks
- poolhash and nethash charts
- diff chart
- blocks per day chart
- block luck added to confirmed blocks chart in mobile version
- miner address who found the block (the first and last characters of wallet address)
- maturing slider in unconfirmed blocks chart
3. This info has been added to the miner statistics page:
- block effort and reward participating percentage
- unconfirmed balance is showed on a separate line, wallet icon “is filling with coins” as block matures
- income stat for 60 minutes, 12 hours, 24 hours, a week and a month
- miner hash chart
- mined blocks participation chart
- workers chart shows the effort and participation of each worker and which worker found the block
- rewards chart (shows your rewards from mined block)
4. Updated “Terms of Use” and “Privacy Policy” sections.
Besides of front, there are other equally important events. Namely:
1. RVN pool is ready, fork will be 6th May 8 pm UTC time. Kindly remind you that connection is already known

3. Updated, patched and improved back-end code.
4. WoolyLabs project has been established. Details are secret, however members of the WoolyPooly telegram group already seen some screenshots. :)Wooly becomes more than just a mining pool.
Not good news time — either we become noticeable or something else — but we faced new pool attacks more sophisticated than before. On 23th April, a miner who used only Tor browser and changed his ip each time attacked PPLNS Cortex pool with a bunch of incorrect solutions. Unfortunately, we did not immediately react on that but yesterday that guy was blocked and his balance reset.
Coincidence or not but last night a troll joined our Russian Discord channel. He wrote many bad things about pool in general and developers personally. We basically do not want to delete such messages so that everyone can make their own conclusions. Mine on Wooly or not — everyone decides for himself. We are not holding anyone here by force, but we are sincerely glad with everyone who mines on our pool and thereby contributes to the development of our Russian-Ukrainian-Belarusian (so happened that all project members live in different CIS countries) crypto project.
Wooly, what’s next? It’s hard to say, but full throttle and handbrake instead of brake. In May we list RVN and prepare for Veil. At the same time we do remember about Grin and it would be great to list it this summer.
